Ugandan Giant's wrestling career over
By TIM BAINES - Ottawa Sun

It looks like James Harris’ wrestling career is over.

And it wasn’t his age, 61, that caught up with him.

After terrorizing opponents for many years as Kamala The Ugandan Giant, Harris had a foot amputated this week, related to diabetes and other medical issues.

In his prime, Kamala was a main-eventer, taking on stars such as Hulk Hogan and Jake "The Snake" Roberts.

With paint on his face and body, Kamala slapped his belly before lunging into the air and pancaking his opponent to the mat. It wasn’t the prettiest finishing move, but fans bought into it.

And, surprise, surprise, Kamala wasn’t actually from Uganda or any other foreign country. He was a Mississippi boy.

ROCK AND ROLL

The Rock returns Monday for RAW. That sets up a match at Survivor Series when he teams with John Cena to face The Miz and R-Truth. And that sets up the Wrestlemania main event with Cena vs. The Rock. Never a dull moment.

AROUND THE RING

Henry Godwin (Mark Canterbury) suffered a punctured lung, broken ribs and a broken leg after a car accident ... Killer Karl Kox is dead ...Sheamus presented an award to Justin Bieber at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Belfast, Ireland ... Mick Foley, where are you? You can bet that he’ll pop up soon on WWE programming ... maybe Monday night? ... TNA will use former WWE rookie hotbed Ohio Valley Wrestling as a developmental territory.
