WWE NXT: Watson looks for revenge against Bateman
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on WWE NXT: The show's rivalries continue this week as we get two return matches from previous weeks as Maxine faces AJ and Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks battle The Usos. In our main event, Percy Watson looks to avenge his friend Titus O'Neil loss from last week when he faces Derrick Bateman. Should be a good one!

And we are TAPED! from Dallas, Texas. Jack Korpela and William Regal are our commentators and Matt Striker is our host. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Derrick Bateman is out. He wants to thank the Board for restoring order on Raw because it was trickling down to NXT. He makes a great Tony Romo joke in here. Maxine takes the mic and says NXT was made for competition to see who would become the next breakout star. Before she can get out the next part of her sentence, she is interrupted by Titus O'Neil and Percy Watson.

They say they think Maxine is wrong. Watson says there are still two rookies on the show, Bateman and O'Neil. Watson says he doesn't care about the opinions of Bateman and Maxine, he just cares about the people. O'Neil says Bateman and Maxine, after they kiss for the third time, are the most disgusting couple in WWE history. O'Neil notes he has 30 redemption points and says he's done his fair share of proving to the people that he belongs on Raw or Smackdown.

Watson says it seems like Maxine wants to have a match more than Bateman does and calls Bateman "booty-whipped." Well, that's the PG way of putting it, now isn't it? Now Striker comes out and books Bateman to face Watson tonight. He also books Maxine against AJ right now.

Match #1 - AJ (Union City, NJ) vs. Maxine (Tampa, Fla.)

We're back and already in progress. Maxine snaps AJ's back on the middle rope and goes to work. Then we get a great view of AJ's rib cage when Maxine bends her over the bottom rope. That was great. Some more rib-showing moves from Maxine. And some more. Maxine all over AJ here.

Maxine with an Irish whip. She puts her head down and AJ kicks her but Maxine rebounds and sends AJ back off and puts her down. Maxine mounts AJ in the corner and lands a few shots before AJ shoves her off halfway across the ring. AJ slides to the apron and goes to the top now and hits a crossbody but Maxine kicks out. Clothesline and a spinning back kick connect for AJ but again, Maxine kicks out at two.

AJ goes for a big punch but Maxine ducks it, grabs her by the hair and hits a backbreaker. Maxine goes for a rollup but AJ rolls out of it and hits a Shining Wizard and that's it. Huge comeback victory for AJ.

Winner via pinfall: AJ

Striker is backstage with Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks. Reks says they sent the Usos packing with their tails between their legs. Hawkins says they don't need to piggyback on their ancestors to get where they're going in this business.

Match #2 - Curt Hawkins (Queens, NY) & Tyler Reks (Laguna, Calif.) vs. Jimmy & Jey Uso (San Francisco, Calif.)

Hawkins gets thrown to the outside and Jimmy comes flying over the top and onto him. Reks doesn't like this and comes to get himself some but when he comes around the corner, he gets taken out by Jey. The Usos are rolling.

We're back and Reks and Hawkins have taken over. Chinlock for Reks but Uso powers out by getting to a vertical base and elbowing out. Reks charges him but he pulls the rope down and Reks goes flying. Then he decks Hawkins off the apron and makes the tag despite Reks grabbing his leg at the last moment.

Uso in and he is on fire. Huge butt splash in the corner for two. Uso goes to the top but Reks catches him for a power slam but Uso kicks out at two. Superkick misses for Uso and Reks loads him up for the Burning Hammer but the Usos make a blind tag and hit a double superkick and then a double top-rope splash and that's all she wrote.

Winners via pinfall: Jimmy & Jey Uso

Match #3 - Percy Watson (Miami, Fla.) vs. Derrick Bateman (Cleveland, Ohio)

Watson uses his athleticism to his advantage early to control Bateman but that changes when Watson goes to springboard off the middle turnbuckle and Bateman dropkicks his back and takes over.

Bateman going for covers and they both go for a crossbody and it's Watson who gets the better of it but Bateman takes right back over, locking an abdominal stretch. Watson escapes with a hip toss and both men are down on their knees. Bateman goes for a jumping elbow drop but Watson moves. Watson with some uppercuts and a dropkick. Body slam for Watson and he follows that up with a Showtime Splash but Bateman kicks out at two.

Bateman reverses an Irish whip attempt and hits a front suplex and then a head snap for two. Both men rise. Bateman goes for a headlock but Watson pushes him off and drops him on his face. He follows with a flapjack and that'll do it.

Winner via pinfall: Percy Watson
