WWE NXT: Regal, Striker want piece of JTG, Young

Tonight on WWE NXT: After what seems like 11 billion weeks into this "Redemption" season, WWE is just giving up on the actual concept. The show opening just features the rookies (who are without pros) and a whole new cast of characters are introduced, giving the show a fresher feel. Should be a good one!

And we are "LIVE!" from Toronto, Ontario. Jack Korpela and William Regal are our commentators and Matt Striker and is our host. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Striker is in the ring and he's here to cut a promo, apparently. He's here to talk about goons, and specifically Darren Young and JTG. Now those two come out. JTG gets some cheap heat by saying hockey isn't a real sport. Regal joins Striker in the ring and Striker tells JTG that Regal is better than he is.

Regal asks JTG and Young what it's going to feel like when a washed up man batters them half to death. Young says that sounds like a challenge, a has been and a never was versus them. Regal reminds him that he is, and I quote, "straight up gangsta trippin." Regal and Striker chase off Young and JTG.

Match #1 - Tyson Kidd (Calgary, Alberta) & Derrick Bateman (Cleveland, Ohio) vs. Percy Watson (Miami, Fla.) & Titus O'Neil (Tampa, Fla.)

O'Neil and Watson are rolling until Bateman grabs Watson's ankle as he hits the ropes and this allows Kidd and Bateman to take over. Kidd sends Watson to the outside, tags Bateman and Bateman comes off the apron and drills Watson with a dropkick.

In the ring, he and Watson exchange chops but Bateman rushes him into his corner. Kidd and Bateman isolate Watson in their half of the ring. Kidd absolutely demolishes Watson with a running dropkick. Dang. Now Kidd goes to the second rope and comes down right into a drop kick from Watson.

That allows Watson to get the tag to O'Neil and he comes in on Bateman. Big slam for O'Neil but Kidd makes the save and then takes out Watson. Bateman and O'Neil down. They get up, Bateman hits the ropes and runs right into the Clash of the Titus and that's it.

Winners via pinfall: Titus O'Neil & Percy Watson

Match #2 - AJ (Union City, NJ) vs. Maxine (Tampa, Fla.)

Maxine in control with a chin lock with a knee in the back, nearly breaking AJ in half. AJ gets up but Maxine goes right back to it. If you ever wanted a close up of AJ's ribs, this is your chance. Maxine in complete control here. Maxine throws her into the corner but AJ gets her feet up. Back elbow and a crossbody from the second rope for two for AJ. Spinning back kick for AJ. In a scramble, Maxine grabs AJ and dumps her onto the top rope and then finishes her with a sit-down neckbreaker. Not even sure what to call it.

Winner via pinfall: Maxine

Match #3 - William Regal (Blackpool, England) & Matt Striker (Bayside, NY) vs. JTG (Brooklyn, NY) & Darren Young (Miami, Fla.)

Regal and Striker get off to a big start by propping Young up in the corner and then using JTG as a battering ram right into his, ahem, midsection. The crowd loves it.

We're back and Regal is in control on Young but that quickly changes when Striker gets in the ring. JTG and Young all over Striker, using double teams and the like to control and isolate him. Finally Striker gets the tag to Regal and the crowd loves it. He puts the boots to Young and brings Striker back in, who hits two huge boots to the face. He goes for the cover but JTG breaks it up. Regal dispatches of him. Young with a knee to the gut but Striker goes for a backcracker. Young hangs onto the top rope and then rolls through, picks up Striker and hits his finish.

Winners via pinfall: Darren Young & JTG

Young and JTG are celebrating when out of nowhere, The Usos come out and clean house of them. Oooook.
