WWE NXT: O'Neil continues to roll
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on WWE NXT: This show just keeps rolling and rolling. It's been weeks since the last elimination and the next one is nowhere in sight with three rookies remaining. Tonight, Darren Young and Titus O'Neil clash in the main event for about the 43rd time this season. Should be a good one!

And we are "LIVE!" from Minneapolis, Minn. Todd Grisham and William Regal are our commentators and Matt Striker and Maryse are our hosts. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Maryse and Striker are in the ring with a punching bag with Michael Cole's face on it. The three remaining rookies have to do a moves demonstration on it.

Derrick Bateman does some moves and then cuts a bad heel promo.

Darren Young says this is the dumbest thing he's ever been apart of. He pushes it down. And then he says when he wrestles Titus O'Neil tonight, he'll give 'em the size 13. And he slaps him and runs away.

O'Neil takes the mic and gives it back to Bateman and Young. He wins the competition. Again.

This was the biggest waste of time quite possibly in NXT history. And that's saying something.

Match #1 - Vladimir Kozlov (Moscow, Russia) vs. JTG (Brooklyn, NY)

JTG in control early with a headlock as the crowd chants "Let's Go Kozlov!" He goes to the middle rope and hits a dropkick for two. Back to work with a headlock for JTG and he's really got this one locked in. Kozlov with some clubbing blows to escape, but JTG hits him and applies a front headlock. Kozlov finally escapes and hits a big boot.

He follows that up with headbutts and goes for a power slam but JTG slips out the backdoor and chop blocks him. He hits the ropes but Kozlov hits him with a headbutt and follows it up with the Iron Curtain and that's it.

Winner via pinfall: Vladimir Kozlov

Hornswaggle is backstage with another gift for Maryse. She says she'll have nothing to do with it until Hornswaggle grabs her leg. She grabs the box and throws it at him, spilling the M&Ms all over the floor. Then a production assistant delivers a box to Hornswaggle, which confuses him. It's a stuffed animal.

Yoshi Tatsu walks into his locker room and his action figure is completely destroyed.

Match #2 - Titus O'Neil (Tampa, Fla.) vs. Darren Young (Miami, Fla.)

O'Neil with a big body slam and he follows that with a side slam (and a dog bark). Now he locks in an abdominal stretch. He sends Young to the floor and he takes a walk, but O'Neil goes out and brings him back. Then he throws him into the corner and the momentum sends him over the top and to the floor. O'Neil goes out after him and completely works him over on the floor.

Young escapes into the ring and catches O'Neil with a boot coming in, but that doesn't last long as O'Neil hits him with a back elbow, sending him to the floor. Then Derrick Bateman wades down to the ring.

We're back and Young has O'Neil in the headlock but O'Neil quickly escapes. Young keeps control with a clothesline for two. They fight in the corner and O'Neil floors Young with a European uppercut for two. Now Young grounds O'Neil again with a headlock. The crowd tries to get him fired up. He gets to his knees but Young adjusts the hold accordingly but O'Neil punches his way out and hits a suplex.

Now O'Neil gets rolling. Shoulder block and a clothesline followed by a scoop slam for two. Now Young scoops O'Neil up on his shoulders but Hornswaggle distracts the referee. Young sends O'Neil off the ropes but Bateman grabs his leg. It doesn't work for Young, though, as he was already in the midst of the his dropkick, so he crashed and burned. O'Neil takes advantage and hits the Clash of the Titus and that's it.

Winner via pinfall: Titus O'Neil
