Impact: Sting is champion again
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on Impact Wrestling: After weeks of tormenting Immortal, Sting finally gets his rematch against World Heavyweight Champion Mr. Anderson. To counter Immortal's numbers, Sting has enlisted the help of a series of clowns to help take Immortal out throughout the show, helping Sting regain the title.

Like usual, tonight's taped show emanates from the Impact Zone in Orlando, Fla. "The Professor" Mike Tenay and The Tazz are our hosts.

Immortal is out to start the show and they have some ladies and all are dressed in tuxedos with bow ties. This is something else, folks. A card table is in the ring. Eric Bischoff says they are there to gamble with some people's careers. He says tonight they are going to throw Mr. Anderson a party he'll never forget because he is now part of Immortal. He brings him out.

Anderson comes out in an extremely classy cam tux. Hulk Hogan says he and Anderson might've had their differences, but they always strived to be the best and he wants to formally welcome him into the family. Anderson says they might not always see eye-to-eye going forward, but this is a gamble he's willing to take.

At that point, the lights go out and Sting shows up sitting in the chair at the card table. Bischoff says tonight Anderson is going to take the cancer out once and for all. Sting asks Bischoff if he wants to bet on it. He sees things ending up differently, and that involves him becoming champ once again and kicking off his crusade to bring the company back to its rightful owner, Dixie Carter.

Hogan gets a bit angry and says not only is Sting going down tonight. He's going out on a stretcher tonight. Sting says Hogan is wrong because he's not a whole bunch of aces in the hole. He says he knows the network told Hogan and Bischoff they were in thin ice. He says tonight he's going to win the title and he has his own magic bullet aces. He points to the rafters and there's four clowns with bats up there. Keeping with the gambling references, he says he's all in. Then he flips the table, the lights go out and he vanishes.

Then Sting escapes and pushes Anderson away and he goes right into Hebner, sending him to the floor. Sting takes advantage and locks in the Scorpion Death Lock. Anderson taps but there is no referee. Then Bully Ray sneaks out and attacks Sting from behind. Ray tells Anderson to hold Sting so he can hit him with his chain. As he goes to do it, the lights go out and another clown is in the ring. The clown lays out Bully Ray with a bat and then the lights go out again and Anderson is all alone in the ring.
