Impact: Karen Jarrett takes a fall, Foley gone
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on Impact Wrestling: The Network continues to be a thorn in the side of Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff with a major decision coming tonight. Elsewhere, the main event match that sees Kurt Angle and Matt Morgan battle Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner sees Karen Jarrett get involved with disastrous results.

Eric Bischoff is in the parking lot arriving and he has been served by the Network.

Backstage, ODB is attacking Velvet Sky while she is doing a photo shoot. She drags her out to the arena area. They go into the ring and ODB starts choking her with her own shirt and counts a ceremonial three.

Like usual, tonight's taped show emanates from the Impact Zone in Orlando, Fla. "The Professor" Mike Tenay and The Tazz are our hosts.

Sting's music hits but again it's Mr. Anderson dressed as him. He says he's going to face one of Sting's most famous competitors tonight.

Bischoff is in the ring with his papers. He calls out Beer Money. He says he is going to have to no choice but to strip Beer Money of the tag team titles because they won't be able to defend them due to an injury to Robert Roode. Roode says Bischoff isn't taking them away. He'll be at Slammiversary and Bischoff can only take them over his dead body.

Now Alex Shelley comes out. He says Chris Sabin tore his ACL and MCL and is out for the rest of the year. Shelley proposes that Roode let him take his place and defend the tag team titles with James Storm. Bischoff goes crazy, wondering who told him he could do this. Shelley simply responds "The Network" and says "Let's make Gun Money a reality!" He shakes hands with Roode and Storm and it's on.

Bischoff says Shelley just made his s--- list.

Match #1 - Matt Hardy (Cameron, NC) vs. Crimson (Brooklyn, NY)

Crimson all over Hardy, so much that he has to take a roll to the outside to regroup. Crimson gets too close to the ropes, though, and Hardy hits him with a Stunner onto the top rope. Hardy goes to work now. Elbows to the back of the neck and a leg drop for two. Neckbreaker for Hardy. He goes to the top rope but is cut off before he can come down. Crimson looking for a suplex but Hardy elbows out, sending Crimson to the canvas. He follows with another leg drop for two.

Crimson, though, gets going and hits a double-arm DDT for two. He goes for a suplex but Hardy hangs on to the top rope. Hardy catches Crimson coming in and goes for the Twist of Hate but Crimson fights it off and hits the Sky High and that's it.

Winner via pinfall: Crimson

Samoa Joe tries to come attack Crimson after the match but Crimson spears him right out of the ring and sends him packing.

Match #3 - Mr. Anderson (Green Bay, Wisc.) vs. The Not So Great Muta (The Orient)

The Not So Great Muta is portrayed by Eric Young.

This is a mockery of a match. Muta tries to leave but Anderson won't let him and slaps him. Anderson goes to work. He goes for the Stinger Splash but Muta moves and starts his comeback. Lots of near falls for Muta. Anderson catches him with a neckbreaker for two. Young hits a jawbreaker and then a moonsault but before he can make the pin, Gunner comes out and distracts him. The referee takes Gunner and while that's going on Muta spits the mist into Anderson's face and rolls him up for the pin.

Winner via pinfall: The Not So Great Muta

Gunner immediately attacks after the match and Anderson joins in. They beat up Young until Sting walks down and makes the save.

Match #4 - Brian Kendrick (Venice, Calif.) vs. Kazarian (Anaheim, Calif.)

This is a No. 1 contenders match for the X Division title.

Real fast-paced match here. Gut-wrench suplex for Kazarian for two. They trade moving out of each other's way and that ends when Kazarian sidesteps a Kendrick suicide dive attempt. Tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for Kazarian. It's all Kazarian until Kendrick lands a kick and then a missile dropkick for two. Kendrick goes for Sliced Bread No. 2 but Kazarian counters with a jumping neckbreaker for two.

Kazarian with a superkick and he goes for a frog splash but Kazarian gets his knees out and hits a Shining Wizard that sends Kendrick to the floor. Kazarian pulls him into the ring and Kendrick rolls him up for two. Backslide for two for Kazarian. Roll-up for Kendrick for two. They exchange a series of rollups and then the bell rings.

This match is a time limit draw

Both men want more time. Hebner is brought a headset for some reason and tells them to announce Eric Bischoff has granted the match five more minutes.

They start going right at it and each go for a crossbody at the same time and lay each other out. Now here's Abyss. He goes after Kazarian but Kendrick jumps on his back. Abyss pulls him off, hits Kazarian and then hits the Shock Treatment on Kendrick. Kazarian makes a feeble attempt at fighting back but gets the Black Hole Slam.

AJ Styles is out. Bully Ray shortly follows. Ray notes last week they didn't beat him, they beat Tommy Dreamer, who is a horrible tag team partner. He says he can see fear in Styles' eyes because he puts the fear of God into everybody. Styles makes penis size jokes. That's when I stopped caring about this promo. Styles challenges Ray to a last man standing match at Slammiversary. Ray accepts.

Match #5 - Jeff Jarrett (Hendersonville, Tenn.) & Scott Steiner (Detroit, Mich.) vs. Kurt Angle (Pittsburgh, Pa.) & Matt Morgan (Fairfield, Conn)

As the match is ongoing, Hulk Hogan arrives. In the ring, Steiner is all over Angle. Belly-to-belly connects for two. Jarrett in and he goes for the Stroke but Angle counters into the ankle lock. Jarrett rolls out and they double clothesline each other. Both men makes tags. Morgan all over Jarrett and Steiner.

Avalanche and a side slam connect for Morgan on Steiner. Sit out slam for Morgan but Jarrett breaks up the pin. Angle runs him off to the top of the ramp and applies the ankle lock but Karen comes running out and hops of Angle's back. Angle stalks her but Jarrett hits him and apparently Karen took a nasty fall. The camera cuts back into the ring and Steiner is pinning Morgan.

Winners pinfall: Scott Steiner & Jeff Jarrett

Angle and Jarrett are arguing over who's fault it was with many profanities. They load Karen on the stretcher.

Hogan and Bischoff are out. Bischoff cuts a promo on Mick Foley. They finally open up the papers Bischoff got earlier. The network said they are exercising their right to terminate said position. They thought it was Bischoff the whole time but it's not. Mick Foley has been fired by the network.
