WWE NXT: 6-man tag leads nothing show
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on WWE NXT: Well, the annual WrestleMania Week edition of NXT is here and you know what that means: About 40 minutes of recaps and about 15 minutes of actual NXT content. Even worse, there was no Maryse this week. Should be a good one!

And we are TAPED! from Chicago, Ill. Todd Grisham and William Regal are our commentators and Matt Striker is our host. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Striker brings out the six NXT rookies. Our first redemption challenge is an arm-wrestling challenge. The rookie who finishes with the best first-round time wins a bye to the final. First up is Byron Saxton against Darren Young. Young wins it in 23.7 seconds. Next up is Lucky Cannon against Conor O'Brian. O'Brian wins in 11.2 seconds. Finally we have Jacob Novak against Titus O'Neil. This would appear to be a mismatch on paper. They hook 'em up and then Novak cheats and goes before given the word. He is warned. They go and O'Neil lets Novak push his arm down briefly and then just completely overpowers him, winning in 3.5 seconds.

In the lone semifinal, O'Brian beats Young. So in the final, we have O'Neil against O'Brian with the winner getting redemption points and O'Neil blows him out of the water as the crowd chants "boring."

From here, they literally ran recaps of everything under the sun for about 35 straight minutes. I am not making this up. What a show this is.

Match #1 - Titus O'Neil, Byron Saxton & Conor O'Brian vs. Darren Young, Lucky Cannon & Jacob Novak

O'Brian controls Cannon early and brings in O'Neil. They work over Cannon's right arm but Cannon brings in Young. Saxton now in and he and Young go at it. Saxton catches Young with a boot and fires up out of the corner. Another kick lands but he runs right into a back elbow and then he smashes Saxton's face into Novak's boot and brings him in.

Now they're isolating Saxton, using quick tags. Cannon with a chinlock with a knee in the back and then he brings Young back in. He beats Saxton down in the corner and has to be pulled off. Swinging neckbreaker for two for Young. Novak in and he misses an elbow drop but Saxton cannot take advantage. Chinlock for Novak now but Saxton gets out, ducks a clothesline and tags in O'Neil. Big backbreaker connects and then O'Neil dispatches of Young and Cannon and hits Novak with a big power slam but Young makes the save. O'Brian comes running in and clotheslines him over the top. Novak goes for a kick but O'Neil catches it, hits the Sky High and that's it.

Winners via pinfall: Titus O'Neil, Byron Saxton & Conor O'Brian
