Impact: Sting returns, wins title
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on TNA Impact: Sting is back. After several months off and several weeks of speculation on where he'd end up, Sting is back in TNA on behalf of "the network," who books him in a TNA World Heavyweight Championship match with Jeff Hardy right off the bat. Also on the show, Jeff and Karen Jarrett renew their wedding vows under the watch of Kurt Angle.

And we are TAPED! from Fayetteville, N.C. "The Professor" Mike Tenay and The Tazz are our hosts.

Dixie Carter is out and it's apparently time for "The Decision." She says the court ruling came down this morning and things did not go as he would've hoped. As she's speaking, Eric Bischoff and Immortal's music hits. Bischoff says he respects Dixie and she has one massive set of balls. This is Ric Flair's cue to talk. He asks her if she knows where she is. This is Flair Country, he says. He says if she would've taken his room key that night in Orlando, all of this could've been avoided. Then Flair brings out, for the first time since November, the one and only Hulk Hogan, to reveal the court ruling.

Dixie doesn't not have a nice look on her face. Hogan says he now controls 100 percent of TNA. He says he makes all the decision and Dixie is just unemployed. He calls her an egomaniac. Hogan says this wasn't about them being partners, it was about he and Bischoff using her to get back on top of the wrestling business. So when's that happening? Hogan says all Dixie has left is her dignity and they're fixing to take that away.

Hulk Hogan babbles on to Dixie Carter.
Now Fortune's music hits. AJ Styles says they can do this the easy way or the hard way. He tells Dixie to get out of the ring and escorts her up the ramp. Robert Roode grabs the mic and addresses Hogan. He says he can't believe Hogan is the reason he became a professional wrestler. He says Hogan has let him down. Flair gets all indignant and tells Fortune to kiss his ass. They say instead of kissing it, why don't they kick it? The come down the ramp but are cut off by security.

Immortal is celebrating backstage when they run into New York Jets linebacker Bart Scott. Hogan suggests Matt Hardy take Scott to get some women. Those two start walking when they run into Dixie. Dixie runs away and Styles and Kazarian confront Hardy and Scott. It's on how and the four are brawling when security breaks them up. As this is happening, Jeff and Karen Jarrett walk in.

Match #1 - TNA World Tag Team Championship - (c) Beer Money Inc. vs. Gunner & Murphy

Gunner and Murphy attack Beer Money right off the bat and take control of James Storm. But Storm fires up out of the corner and brings in Robert Roode and he is on fire. Crowd going nuts for him. Double R Spinebuster for Gunner for two. As he comes off the cover, Murphy drills Roode with a big boot. Murphy holds Roode and Gunner comes in for a double sledge but Roode ducks and Gunner hits Murphy. Then Storm lays Gunner out with the Last Call Superkick. They line up Murphy and dispatch of him with a double suplex and then hit Gunner with the DWI and that's a wrap. Crowd loves it.

Winners via pinfall and STILL TNA World Tag Team Champions: Beer Money Inc.

They get about two seconds to celebrate when Ink Inc. comes out and challenges them to a title match at Victory Road. The challenge is accepted.

Match #2 - Career-Threatening Match - Sarita (Mexico City, Mexico) vs. Velvet Sky

Velvet Sky's TNA career is on the line here.

Stunner-type maneuver for Velvet and then Rosita and Angelina Love just start brawling in the ring. Referee Earl Hebner sends them to the back. After that, Velvet hits a DDT and finally beats Sarita.

Winner via pinfall: Velvet Sky

And Velvet gets about two seconds to celebrate when they are interrupted by Robbie E., Cookie and Angelina from the Jersey Shore. Cookie gets in a "fake silicone funbags" reference when talking about J-Woww. Then Angelina takes the mic (the one from Jersey Shore) and says she wants J-Woww here next week to battle her in a match Jersey Shore styles because I guess they have heat from back in the day. Velvet grabs the mic, calls her a skank and tells her if she has something to say to J-Woww to say it to her face. Then Velvet tells her peace and goes to exit the ring with her famous entrance and Angelina (the Jersey Shore one) kicks her in the rear. Now The Beautiful People attack Angelina and Cookie and Sarita makes the save and they beat The Beautiful People down. Then Angelina Love gets the mic and challenges them to a six-way match next week.

It's now time for the moment everybody's been waiting for. The renewal of the wedding vows of Jeff and Karen Jarrett. Eric Young comes out as the ring bearer and Orlando Jordan as the flower girl. Jeff Jarrett follows in a manner much classier than expected. He gets about halfway down the aisle when Kurt Angle comes down and starts beating him up. They brawl near the cake on the stage and Jarrett keeps teetering close to it. Eye poke buys Jarrett a few seconds but Angle drills him with a short clothesline. He wants to put Jarrett into the cake when Karen comes up on hops on his back. She's taken off and throws a fit and slaps him. Then Angle puts her through the cake.

Jeff and Karen are throwing a fit backstage and Bischoff promises them the wedding will happen tonight. Then Hogan walks up and asks Bischoff if he knows who the network is sending to face Jeff Hardy for the title tonight. They speculate but don't offer any names.

Match #3 - Rob Terry (Cardiff, Wales) vs. Scott Steiner (Detroit, Mich.)

They brawl on the outside and Terry gets the better of it. Power slam for Terry for two. Steiner catches Terry with a boot coming in and then hits him with a belly-to-belly throw. Now Steiner's getting going. Big Steinerline. He puts Terry up on the top and hits a fallaway slam. He locks in the Steiner Recliner and Terry taps.

Winner via submission: Scott Steiner

Match #4 - Hernandez (Houston, Texas) vs. Matt Morgan (Fairfield, Conn.)

Morgan on fire early and Hernandez takes a walk but Morgan stalks him and brings him back to the ring. Hernandez begging off now but Morgan just boots him right in the mouth. Morgan gets his eyes raked going for a power slam and Hernandez goes for the shirt toss but Morgan is having none of it and actually hits Hernandez with it. Rapid fire elbows connect for Morgan and then he clotheslines Hernandez to the outside. Morgan stalking again but Hernandez throws him into the steps. He keeps bashing Morgan into the steps and the referee calls for the bell. Tenay suggests it was a DQ. I think it's a countout.

This match is a ???

Jeff Jarrett gets in Karen's face as Kurt Angle looks on.
It's time for take two of the wedding. Young and Jordan make their way out. Jarrett makes his way out without incident and then Angle walks Karen down the aisle with quite the look on his face. Karen still has cake on her. They each say their vows taking swipes at Angle. Jarrett is told he may kiss the bride and he goes in with the most over the top kiss ever. Angle asks if they are done and he is told yes. Then he picks up an AX. Yes, an AX, from underneath the sandbags holding down the microphones and destroys the wedding set as everybody runs. Then Eric Bischoff and Bart Scott come out and Bischoff sends Scott down to handle Angle. Scott gets in his face and pushes him. And again. Angle goes to walk away and Scott pie faces him so Angle snaps, takes him down and locks in the ankle lock. He has to be pried away by security.

Kurt Angle faces off with Bart Scott of the New York Jets.

Match #5 - TNA World Heavyweight Championship - (c) Jeff Hardy (Cameron, NC) vs. Sting (Venice Beach, Calif.)

Hardy is not happy with the person the network has chosen to face him tonight.

Hardy again goes for a walk and he is limping. Again, Sting goes after him and suplexes him on the ramp. Then he throws him into the ringside guardrail. He goes for a Stinger Splash again the rail but Hardy moves and takes over. Back in the ring, leg drop for Hardy. Chinlock for Hardy but Sting fires out and avoids the Twist of Hate. Hardy throwing right hands and Sting just screams in his face. Now Sting goes to work with right hands. Sting off the ropes with a face plant and he follows with the Scorpion Death Drop but Hardy kicks out at two.

Hardy avoids a Stinger Splash again and goes for Whisper in the Wind but Sting crotches him and hits the Scorpion Death Drop off the top rope. Then, instead of a pin, he takes Hardy to the center of the ring and hits another. He makes the cover, 1... 2... 3!
