Superstars: Flowers spell DiBiase's demise against Bryan
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on WWE Superstars: On another solid edition of Superstars, WWE Tag Team Champions Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater are in nontitle action against Trent Barretta and JTG and in the main event, United States Champion Daniel Bryan battles Ted DiBiase. Should be a good one!

This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG, V)

Match #1 - Justin Gabriel (Cape Town, South Africa) & Heath Slater (Pineville, W.Va.) vs. Trent Barreta (Mount Sinai, NY) & JTG (Brooklyn, NY)

Wow, rare appearance from the newly-crowned WWE Tag Team Champions here tonight.

Slater and Gabriel in control early as they have Barreta isolated but Barreta gets going with a flying knee to the skull of Gabriel. Both men make tags and JTG is rolling. Blockbuster neckbreaker for JTG and then a facebuster but Gabriel makes the save on the pin. Barreta knocks Gabriel out of the ring but Gabriel kicks JTG in the back as the referee takes care of Barreta. This allows Slater to hit Sweetness and that's it.

Winners via pinfall: Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater

Match #2 - Chris Masters (Los Angeles, Calif.) vs. Tyler Reks (Laguna, Calif.)

Reks with a half-crab but Masters gets to the ropes. Now Masters gets going. He hits a Samoan drop. Inverted atomic drop for Masters. Now a spinebuster for two. Flying shoulder block off the second rope for Masters. He goes for the Masterlock. Reks fights it but Masters knees him in gut and is able to get his fingers clenched and it's quickly over from there.

Winner via submission: Chris Masters

Match #3 - Santino Marella (Calabria, Italy) vs. Tyson Kidd (Calgary, Alberta)

Some comedy early but Kidd quickly takes control. Kidd drops Santino with a punch and then starts slapping him across the head. This does not make Santino happy. Now he's the one delivers the punches. He goes for the hip toss but Kidd counters and dropkicks him for two. Kidd comes off with the springboard elbow but Santino moves. Santino gets up, hits the Cobra and that's it for Kidd.

Winner via pinfall: Santino Marella

Match #4 - Daniel Bryan (Aberdeen, Wash.) vs. Ted DiBiase (West Palm Beach, Fla.)

Backbreaker connects for DiBiase then a beautiful dropkick to the back of Bryan's head. Bryan hits some kicks in the corner but DiBiase quickly takes control back. Bryan, though, hits the corner jump and a flying foreare. He follows that up with a corner dropkick for two. DiBiase counters Bryan and goes for Dream Street but Bryan counters. DiBiase charges Bryan but Bryan sends him flying over the top. Then it's the suicide dive. Bryan throws DiBiase back in the ring and goes for the missile dropkick but DiBiase ducks and Bryan lands on his feet. DiBiase wants Dream Street but Bryan counters so DiBiase just viciously throws him.

Now Yoshi Tatsu is walking to the ring and he has flowers for Maryse. She takes them as DiBiase screams at her. Tatsu wants another kiss, but Maryse blows him off. DiBiase is upset still so Maryse slaps him with the flowers and that sends him flying right into the LaBelle Lock. He taps.

Winner via submission: Daniel Bryan
