WWE NXT: 'See you in Cleveland, fool'
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on WWE NXT: With next week likely being the final episode of NXT, our three remaining rookies are each looking for a spot on the final show. Only two of them will make it. As Brodus Clay wins immunity, tonight's elimination is between Derrick Bateman and Johnny Curtis. Who's going home and who's moving to the final episode? Let's find out. Should be a good one!

And we are "LIVE!" from Sacramento, Calif. Todd Grisham and Josh Mathews are our commentators and Matt Striker is our host. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

In backstage vignettes, all three rookies are given pep talks by their pros, the gist being that the pros are not going to be there tonight and they are on their own.

Striker welcomes the rookies out and he says next week, we will crown the winner of NXT Season 4.

Our first challenge is the "Grace Under Pressure Physical Challenge" and is worth three immunity points. It consists of four parts, the first being BEER PONG. Yes, beer pong (sans the drinking, of course). Second, they have to build a tower out of wood blocks. Next they have to play FLIP CUP and finally, they have to use chop sticks to rearrange a set of dice.

Johnny Curtis struggles with the blocks and finishes at 1:19. Derrick Bateman is up next and he struggles at the beer pong. And then the blocks. He kills it on flip cup and then just gives up on the dice. Not a good showing here. He doesn't even get an official time. Brodus Clay struggles on beer pong until he just throws a bunch of balls at the cups and one goes in. That was good. He builds the blocks with ease but cannot get the flip cup to save his life. It takes him nearly 90 seconds to get past that, so Curtis is your winner and gets the three immunity points.

Match #1 - Brodus Clay vs. Johnny Curtis vs. Derrick Bateman

Clay dominates with his size early on until Curtis and Bateman team up on him. Now Curtis cleans house on both Clay and Bateman, sending them to the outside. Then he lines them up and comes over the top with a cannonball, taking out both men and landing on his feet in the process! Wow! Impressive.

We're back and Curtis has Bateman locked in an armbar. Bateman gets a rope break and then gets going. He hits a swinging neckbreaker and then hits Clay with a corner dropkick. And another.

Now here comes Clay. He has steamrolled both men here. Huge smile on Clay's face right now. Clay goes for a cover on Bateman but Curtis comes off the top with a leg drop on Clay but only gets two. He goes for the cover on Bateman but only gets two. Bateman and Curtis team up on Clay again and hit a double suplex on Clay. Then Curtis turns his attention to Bateman, suplexes him onto Clay and covers him for the fall.

Winner via pinfall: Johnny Curtis

It's time for our next challenge, the "Talk the Talk Challenge" worth three immunity points. The judges will be the live crowd.

Curtis calls Clay Shrek and Bateman A.C. Slater. Then he panders to the crowd. Ugh. And they boo him. Thank you, Sacramento. Bateman panders to the crowd, as well and gets booed. Thank you again, Sacramento. That leaves Clay. Striker introduces Clay and he gets a huge reaction. He talks about getting his learn on and gives a bunch of shout outs. This made little sense and was awesome. Curtis and Bateman get booed out of the joint and Clay is easily declared the winner and has earned immunity.

It's time for our elimination. The man going home is Derrick Bateman. "Wow, shocking," Grisham exclaims. Bateman is not happy. Bateman says this is way the cookie crumbles sometimes. He says he is the future and the crowd is booing him. And then, as Bateman is walking up the ramp, Clay hits Curtis from behind, telling him, "I'll see you in Cleveland, fool."
