WWE NXT: Season 3 mercifully ends with new breakout diva crowned
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on WWE NXT: The finale is finally here. After some of the most perplexing television shows in WWE history, it all comes down to Kaitlyn and Naomi to determine who is going to be the WWE's next breakout diva. Should be a good one!

And we are "LIVE!" from Norfolk, Va. Michael Cole and Josh Mathews are our commentators and Matt Striker is our host. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Striker welcomes Vickie Guerrero out to start the show. She introduces her "horrible" rookie Kaitlyn. When both Kaitlyn and Naomi in the ring, we are told Kelly Kelly isn't here. She has a videotaped message, though. She says she is going overseas so she is not here. Naomi says she is very proud to have Kelly as her pro.

Striker then goes over to the pairing of Kaitlyn and Guerrero. Guerrero asks her about her deal with Dolph Ziggler. She accuses her of stealing Dolph. Kaitlyn said she didn't steal him. She says she doesn't want her last night on NXT to be ruined by another petty argument with Vickie. She says she gave thanks for Vickie on Thanksgiving but Vickie gave thanks for the second helping of mashed potatoes. Then I believe Kaitlyn trips Vickie as she storms off. The stream jumped on me. Vickie gets mad.

We're told there's going to be another season of NXT (woo! I still have a job!). Our first pro is R-Truth and he will be mentoring Johnny Curtis.

Match #1 - Brie Bella, Nikki Bella & AJ vs. Alicia Fox, Maxine & Aksana

For the first time, eliminated rookies return.

AJ gets the tag to "one of the Bellas," Cole says. She runs wild. I think it's Brie. She drills Maxine with a X-Factor but Aksana breaks it up. Nikki takes care of Aksana and then Alicia Fox takes Nikki out of the ring. Bella escapes a suplex and AJ gets a blind tag and AJ crossbody's Maxine for the pin.

Winners via pinfall: AJ, Brie & Nikki Bella

Our next pro is Chris Masters and his rookie his former ECW announcer Byron Saxton.

Our next pro is Ted DiBiase and his rookie is the 6-foot-8, 360 pound Brodus Clay.

Now is a promo face-off. Kaitlyn says she had her first match on NXT and was brought in as a last-minute replacement. She said Naomi was a star at first

Naomi says they are looking for someone who is ready now and she's ready now. She says she's had so much fun here on NXT. She says regardless of what happens, she can hold her head up high.

Match #2 - Kaitlyn vs. Naomi

They have a brief dance-off to start and Kaitlyn decides to roll Naomi up when she goes. Kaitlyn hits an airplane spin but Naomi comes back with a butt bump. Kaitlyn sends Naomi to the outside and catapults her into the ring apron.

Back in the ring and Naomi gets going with some clotheslines and a dropkick for two. The announcers imploring the referee to count faster. Bodyslam for Kaitlyn. She comes off the top but Naomi gets her foot up. But then Kaitlyn rolls Naomi up and gets the win.

Winner via pinfall: Kaitlyn

Guerrero has the mic and says nobody cares about her victory. She then says she wants to introduce another pro for Season 4 and welcomes her boyfriend, the Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler. His rookie is Jacob Novak.

It's time to get the opinions of the eliminated rookies. Jamie thinks Naomi should win. AJ says if she can't win, she wants her best friend Kaitlyn to win. Maxine says "100 percent Naomi." Aksana says everyone wants to see Aksana win. Thanks for coming.

Our final NXT Season 4 pro is none other than Alberto Del Rio and his rookie is Conor O'Brian.

It's time to find out who the winner of NXT Season 3. The WWE's next breakout diva is….

Kaitlyn

Naomi says she wishes she could've won, but she's proud of Kaitlyn and they all worked hard.

Kaitlyn says she promised herself she wouldn't cry. She says she got the call two days before the season started and didn't even having anything to wear. She wants to thank everybody, even Vickie Guerrero. She thanks everybody.

And that's it. See you next week for Season 4! I can't wait!
