TNA Impact: Feuds boil over before No Surrender
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on TNA Impact: It's the final show before Sunday's No Surrender. The war between Fortune and EV2 continues to boil over while the four semifinalists in the TNA World Title Tournament pair up with their Sunday opponent and team against the other semifinalists. Should be a good one!

As always, tonight's taped show emanates from the Impact Zone in Orlando, Fla. "The Professor" Mike Tenay and The Tazz are our hosts.

The pyro is barely finished before we are joined by the man himself, Hulk Hogan. He's out with Eric Bischoff. Hogan brings out the four semifinalists in the TNA World Heavyweight Title Tournament — Mr. Anderson, The Pope, Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle. Bischoff talks about the decision to put the four in a tag team match against each other tonight is "controversial" despite it being done almost all the time. During Bischoff's speech, Abyss comes through the crowd with Janice. He hits the ringside area.

Abyss leaves Janice on the outside and enters the ring with a mic. Abyss tells Hogan he has a message from them. Hogan says he doesn't care what Fortune has to say. Abyss says they was never EV2.0 and it was never Fortune. Abyss says he was given the date of their revelation and that's 10/10/10 (or Bound For Glory).

Abyss says they are going to take over by overtaking Dixie Carter and then Hogan and Bischoff. Then he continues pointing to everybody in the ring. And then they just go to break.

Match #1 - Angelina Love & Velvet Sky vs. Madison Rayne & Her Official Bodyguard

Well, there are a ton of pre-match shenanigans here. Some involving a riding crop. The referee starts the match with three of the four women down in the ring. What?

Beautiful People in control. Double-team suplex on Rayne but Bodyguard slides in to break it up. Love spears Bodyguard to the outside. In the ring, Sky lines up Rayne but Bodyguard uses the motorcycle helmet to drill Sky and that allows Rayne to pick up the win.

Winners via pinfall: Madison Rayne & Her Official Bodyguard

After a post-match beatdown, Rayne's Official Bodyguard takes off her mask and is revealed to be Tara.

Match #2 - Stevie Richards (Philadelphia, Pa.) vs. Abyss (Parts Unknown)

Abyss dominates until he brings a chair into the ring. Richards hits a Stevie Kick into the chair and gets the fall.

Winner via pinfall: Stevie Richards

Of course, Abyss attacks and hits the Shock Treatment. As a referee checks on Richards, Abyss dumps the ref and goes back to work and hits the Black Hole Slam. Abyss goes to grab Janice but Brian Kendrick comes flying out of nowhere and dropkicks Abyss and helps Richards to safety.

EV2.0 is in the ring. Tommy Dreamer says they hurt Mick Foley's ankle in the back, so get out here and let's do this. This brings Fortune to the ramp. AJ Styles tells Dreamer to shut up. He says Douglas Williams will beat Sabu, Abyss will dominate Rhino and he'll make Dreamer say I Quit at No Surrender. Dreamer says yes, this is AJ's house, but it's a house of people that really think he sucks. Dreamer says let's do a 4-on-4 match tonight.

Match #3 - Jeff Jarrett (Hendersonville, Tenn.) vs. Sting (Venice Beach, Calif.)

Sting is seconded by Kevin Nash and Nash plays a role, tripping up Jarrett on multiple occasions. Jarrett gets rolling and then ducks to the outside and starts drilling Nash, too. Then the numbers become too much as Sting rakes Jarrett's eyes from behind. Sting beats on Jarrett on the outside but Jarrett rallies. He goes to suplex Sting back into the ring but Nash pulls his foot and Sting lands on top and gets the pin.

Winner via pinfall: Sting

Jarrett gets in Nash's face after the match and starts punching but Sting takes him from behind with the bat. Then Hulk Hogan's music hits. Sting let's Jarrett go and Hogan takes his jewelry off. As Hogan walks down the ramp, Samoa Joe comes in through the crowd and attacks Nash from behind. He goes to the outside and tells Sting to "put down the bat and knuckle up." Sting declines this invitation.

Desmond Wolfe and Magnus are in the ring. Wolfe says they've gone on quite the run on Xplosion and they'll prove they are the best tag team at No Surrender when they face the Motor City Machine Guns. Magnus says he can sense the people are embarrassed to have the Guns as the tag champs. He says the belts are coming off boys and coming to men.

This brings the Guns to the ring. Sabin makes a gay joke. Wolfe says he doesn't want to interrupt their comedy routine but they're the only ones in the ring with a girl. The Guns make call girl jokes at Chelsea's expense. Wolfe tells Chelsea to put him over and Chelsea basically tells everyone Wolfe has a small penis. The Guns start laughing but then get beaten down by the challengers.

Backstage, Brian Kendrick tries to get into EV2.0. He gets Foley's blessing to join and that's good enough for Dreamer, Rhino and Sabu.

Match #4 - Elimination Match - AJ Styles (Gainesville, Ga.), Kazarian (Anaheim, Calif.), Robert Roode (Wall Street) & James Storm (Leipers Fork, Tenn.) vs. Tommy Dreamer (Yonkers, NY), Rhino (Detroit, Mich.), Sabu (Bombay, Mich.) & Brian Kendrick (Venice, Calif.)

Sabu going wild on Kazarian. Then out of nowhere, Kazarian hits a side roll and gets the pin.

Sabu Eliminated.

Kendrick in now and he goes in on Kazarian. He drops him with a kick and eliminates him.

Kazarian eliminated.

Now Styles in against Kendrick. Kendrick going crazy and then Kendrick just dropkicks the ref. It's a pier-six brawl but we go to…

We're back and we find out Brian Kendrick has been eliminated. Beer Money double teaming Dreamer. Dreamer gets the tag to Rhino as Roode brings in Storm. Belly-to-belly for Storm. He lines Storm up for the Gore and absolutely drills him but Roode makes the save on the cover. Belly-to-belly for Roode and he lines him up for the Gore but Rhino instead goes to the outside where Abyss is coming to the ring. And now Rhino has been counted out.

So it's down to Beer Money and Styles against Dreamer. Dreamer fights off a double team suplex and DDT's Roode for the pin and then rolls up Storm. Beer Money eliminated.

So it's down to Styles and Dreamer. Dreamer locks in a crossface but Styles gets his foot on the rope. Dreamer goes for the Death Valley Driver but Styles squirms out and hits a dropkick. Styles misses a kneedrop but is able to lock in an armbar but Dreamer gets the ropes. Styles with a slam and he goes to the top but Dreamer cuts him off and hits a superplex. Dreamer then looks like at Flair and goes for the Figure Four. Matt Morgan tries to interfere but gets crotched on the ropes. The distraction allows Styles to hit an eye poke and the Pele and that's it.

Winners: Fortune

Match #5 - Mr. Anderson (Green Bay, Wisc.) & The Pope (Harlem, NY) vs. Jeff Hardy (Cameron, NC) & Kurt Angle (Pittsburgh, Pa.)

Anderson and Pope isolate Hardy. Hardy blocks the Mic Check and hits the Twist of Fate. Both men tag. Angle in against The Pope. Belly-to-belly launches Pope. Anderson gets one. Angle Slam for Pope but Anderson breaks up the pin. Double clothesline. Hardy hits Whisper in the Wind on Angle, missing Anderson. Anderson hits the Mic Check on Angle and Pope pins him.

Winners via pinfall: The Pope & Mr. Anderson

It breaks down between Anderson and Pope after the match. They brawl, as do Angle and Hardy.
