WWE NXT: Rhodes, MVP go for 25 minutes in night's only match
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on WWE NXT: Last week, two rookies were eliminated. Now, only Kaval, Michael McGuillicutty and Alex Riley remain with only two shows left in the season. What will these rookies do to impress as we head into next week's season finale? Should be a good one!

And we are TAPED! from Fresno, Calif. Michael Cole and Josh Mathews are our commentators and Matt Striker is our host. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Per usual, the pros and rookies are introduced. Striker gives the rookies the mic. Michael McGuillicutty says the fact that he gets to compete in the same ring his father did makes it all worth it. Alex Riley says he's the total package. Despite a bug flying around his face, he cuts a good promo. Kaval says this is about competing at the highest level, but his celebration last week was tainted by Cody Rhodes. Rhodes then picks up his mic and says Kaval should bite his tongue. Kaval says Rhodes only got into WWE because of his father. Rhodes says he wants to know what else Kaval's interested in, besides booster seats and really bad promos. Kaval says Rhodes shouldn't speak from 50 feet, so why doesn't he come to the ring. Rhodes says Kaval is the gum he scrapes off his boots. Rhodes says no to his challenge. Then MVP steps in and questions Rhodes for not accepting the challenge. They banter. It ends up with MVP challenge Rhodes. Rhodes says just to shut everybody up, he accepts.

It's now time for trivia.

The first question is who competed in the Iron Man Match at WrestleMania 12. They all take forever to answer. Then McGuillicutty gets it. At the end of the first round, it's McGuillicutty 300, Kaval 300 and Riley 0. Ouch.

Second round begins. One of the questions is to complete is to finish the words in a line of lyrics from the Demolition theme. Then two of the questions involve Johnny Ace and Triple H. The only question Riley gets right is the one about Triple H. Anyway, Kaval wins and will get a feature on WWE.com.
