Impact: Abyss taking over
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on TNA Impact: After going crazy last week, the turn of Abyss is completed this week as he attacks former mentor Hulk Hogan and shoves the valued Hall of Fame ring down Hogan's throat while choking him out. Should be a good one!

As always, tonight's taped show emanates from the Impact Zone in Orlando, Fla. "The Professor" Mike Tenay and The Tazz are our hosts.

TNA Managing Partner Hulk Hogan is out. Hogan has because of the countout in last week's No. 1 contender's match that we're going to have a four-way match at Victory Road between champion Rob Van Dam and contenders Mr. Anderson, Abyss and Jeff Hardy.

Hogan doesn't get too much further in when he is interrupted by Abyss, who is out to his old music. Hogan asks Abyss why he took the "sharp left turn" last week. Abyss says nobody realizes the seriousness of what happened last week. He said he is going to continue causing havoc because "they" told him to. He says "they" are going to be here sooner than he thinks and there's nothing Hogan, Eric Bischoff or Dixie Carter can do to stop it.

He says when "they" get here, they are taking over. Then he says he doesn't need Hogan's Hall of Fame ring anymore. Then he grabs Hogan by the throat and shoves the ring down his throat and chokes him out in the corner.

Abyss climbs out of the ring and goes and grabs a bag of broken glass from under the ring. He goes to grab Hogan when RVD makes the save. Things go well for RVD until he is power bombed. Then Mr. Anderson's music hits and he drills Abyss in the back with a chair. He hits him three times and Abyss doesn't go down and Anderson bails, helping RVD and Hogan out of the ring.
