WWE poised to head West
By TIM BAINES - Ottawa Sun

Fresh off a successful run through Ontario and the Maritimes, WWE will come out swinging again with another Canadian tour in the fall. And it looks like Western Canada has something to look forward to.

And it looks like Western Canada has something to look forward to.

While WWE will hold RAW live events in Ontario in September: Toronto (Sept. 10), Hamilton (Sept. 11) and Peterborough (Sept. 12, moved from the previously-announced Cornwall), fans in Western Canada might want to start flipping their calendars to October.

While dates havenít been confirmed, itís a very good bet that Winnipeg, Calgary and Edmonton will all get shows in October. So will Victoria and Vancouver.

NXT angle brilliant

Maybe WWE is trying to make up for its botched WCW invasion of so long ago. The beat-down of John Cena and anybody else near ringside by the NXT first-season competitors was brilliant. The angle was continued at an FCW developmental show in Florida, with Christian and The Miz left in the carnage. Letís hope WWE does it the old-fashioned way ó keep building on it ... donít look for the immediate payoff. I hope this is the start of something big.

T.O. ROH show online

With the price of wrestling pay-per-views getting out of hand, gofightlive.tv is offering a pretty good online broadband alternative. For $14.95, you can check out the June 19 Ring of Honor show in Toronto. One thing about watching a Ring of Honor show, you get your moneyís worth. Among those on the card: ROH world champ Tyler Black, tag champs Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli, Kevin Steen, Cheech and Cloudy and Shawn Daivari.

Surgery for Undertaker

The Undertaker, in real life, not in a vegetative state, had surgery on his damaged orbital bone. The hope is heíll return late in the summer.
