Superstars: DiBiase beats former champion
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on WWE Superstars: It's another ho-hum show as WWE is overseas. Tonight's edition of the show features three matches and Ted DiBiase looks to continue his winning ways in the main event against former United States Champion MVP. Should be a good one!

This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG, V)

Match #1 - Matt Hardy (Cameron, NC) vs. Carlito (San Juan, PR)

Hardy's badly bruised biceps is taped.

Also, why is a Raw talent facing a Smackdown talent?

Hardy goes to the second rope and drops an elbow right into Carlito's spine. Side Effect connects for Hardy but he only gets two. Carlito's NXT rookie Michael Tarver is going nuts outside. Carlito recovers and attacks the injured biceps but it only stuns Hardy briefly as he kicks Carlito in the gut and goes for the Twist of Fate, but Carlito counters and goes for the Backstabber, but Hardy hangs on to the ropes. Carlito writhes in pain on the mat and gets up and walks right into the Twist of Fate, but Tarver jumps on the apron and distracts Hardy. Hardy's rookie, Justin Gabriel, pulls Tarver down and Hardy spins the distracted Carlito around and this time does hit the Twist of Fate for the fall.

Winner via pinfall: Matt Hardy

Match #2 - Christian (Toronto, Ontario) vs. Chavo Guerrero (El Paso, Texas)

Well, these days in WWE it's tough to say "Hmmph. This is an interesting matchup." I did that here.

Christian hits all his usual spots, including the flying European uppercut, which is a shame that he did that in DJ Gabriel's homeland, but that's another story for another time. He goes for the Killswitch but Guerrero counters with a Gory Bomb but only gets two.

Christian slides to the apron and headbutts Guerrero. He goes to the top but Guerrero jumps up and throws him off. Guerrero goes to the top for the Frog Splash but Christian gets the knees up and quickly hits the Killswitch and that's that.

Winner via pinfall: Christian

Match #3 - Ted DiBiase (West Palm Beach, Fla.) vs. MVP (Miami, Fla.)

These two probably could've had a better match with more time.

MVP runs into a big boot in the corner and DiBiase goes to work, dropping some elbows. He rides MVP's throat into the ropes. He goes to hit MVP in the corner but he fires up with some strikes and a clothesline and a back elbow. Facebuster connects for MVP. He goes for an hits the Ballin' Elbow and DiBiase slides to the apron. MVP goes after him but DiBiase hangs MVP up on the top rope. DiBiase charges MVP in the ring but MVP throws him. In the corner, MVP tries to leapfrog DiBiase but DiBiase catches and crotches him. MVP goes off the ropes and walks into Dream Street.

Winner via pinfall: Ted DiBiase
