Impact: Beware of the Wolfe
By CHRIS & BRYAN SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

Following a successful Bound For Glory pay-per-view, TNA heads back to Orlando, FL for a gimmick filled edition of Impact. On tonight's episode, the new TNA Tag champs, The British Invasion, defend their belts inside the Six Sides of Steel against Beer Money Inc., while Lethal Consequences and The Motor City Machine Guns do battle for a Number One Contenders slot in an Ultimate X match.

The show began with a recap of Bound For Glory.

The Impact opener aired, followed by the usual intro from Mike Tenay and Taz.

Kurt Angle entered the Impact Zone and took the mic. He talked about how it's been a year since the Main Event Mafia was formed and how they were misunderstood. Angle said that all the Mafia was looking for was respect. He went on to say that he thought the younger wrestlers were looking for handouts, but he was mistaken. Angle put over AJ Styles, Matt Morgan and Eric Young amongst others and said they had nothing to prove to him anymore, they were his peers now. Angle thanked the fans and was about to leave the ring when Rhino interrupted. Rhino talked about how the Mafia is done and how Booker T is gone from TNA. He went on to complain about the treatment he has been receiving since Bobby Lashley came in. Team 3D entered next, with security holding them back. Brother Ray's head was bandaged up. Ray screamed about how Rhino cost them the Tag Team titles at Bound For Glory. Rhino taunted them and asked what they could do outside the ring, because management was looking to get rid of them. He talked about how they must not be doing the same ratings they used to. He then invited them to watch his match with Hernandez later on, since they weren't booked in a match of their own. Team 3D attempted once again to charge the ring, but Angle helped keep them at bay, as Rhino said that he wasn't leaving TNA.

Lauren caught up with AJ Styles and Daniels backstage. Styles talked about how Kurt Angle's comments were a step in the right direction for TNA. Lauren announced that the main event at Turning Point will be a Three Way TNA Heavyweight Championship match between AJ Styles, Daniels and Samoa Joe. Daniels promised that this would be even better then their previous encounters.

Mike Tenay talked about the TNA Knockouts appearing in Muscle and Fitness Magazine.

Lauren spoke to Riesha Saeed, who said that Awesome Kong doesn't want her anymore. Saeed said that she knows Kong's weaknesses and would come out victorious in their match.

Mike Tenay and Taz hyped the rest of Impact.

Homicide and Amazing Red brawled through the Impact Zone and into the ring for the opening match.

Match One - Homicide vs. The Amazing Red w/ Don West

Homicide was on the major offensive here, finishing off Amazing Red with the Gringo Killer for the win.

Winner Via Pinfall - Homicide

Lauren talked to Scott Steiner, who said that there was still a Main Event Mafia and that Kurt Angle doesn't speak for him. Steiner then moved on and discussed his upcoming encounter with Matt Morgan.

Match Two - Matt Morgan vs. Scott Steiner

During his entrance, Scott Steiner found Kristal Marshall, Bobby Lashley's wife, and posed for her. Steiner had the upperhand during the match, until he went after Marshall again, taking her hand and rubbing himself with it. Lashley ran out and beat on Steiner, before tossing him back into the ring, where Morgan put him away with a Carbon Footprint.

Winner Via Pinfall - Matt Morgan

Backstage, Lauren tried to interview Awesome Kong, but she just grabbed the mic and promised to finish off Riesha Saeed.

Following a commercial break, Lauren caught up with Bobby Lashley and apologized for Scott Steiner's actions. Lashley said that Steiner needed to apologize to Kristal, before saying that this wasn't a game Steiner wanted to play.

Match Three - Kevin Nash and Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles and Daniels

During the match, AJ Styles hit a springboard moonsault onto Samoa Joe onto the floor and hurt himself, leaving Daniels to pretty much fight the rest of the match on his own. With the match under control for the most part, Daniels looked for a tag, but Styles was still laid out. When Daniels turned around, he was caught in the midsection with a knee from Kevin Nash, followed by a chokeslam for the pin.

Winners Via Pinfall - Kevin Nash and Samoa Joe

After the match, Lauren interviewed Kevin Nash at ringside, who said that he was looking for Eric Young and the TNA Legends title belt.

Jeremy Borash was with Eric Young, who promised a huge announcement that would rock TNA.

Lauren spoke to The Motor City Machine Guns who said that they were going to make TNA notice them.

The Beautiful People took the camera crew backstage to tape for their new reality show "The Meanest Girls." In their pilot episode, they attacked Sarita and Taylor Wilde at catering and engaged in a full fledged food fight, with The Beautiful People coming out on top.

Match Four - Riesha Saeed vs. Awesome Kong

Awesome Kong was able to take care of her former manager and get the win with the Implant Buster.

Winner Via Pinfall - Awesome Kong

After the match, Awesome Kong took Riesha Saeed on the stage and powerbombed her through a table set-up.

Mike Tenay and Taz did a recap of Awesome Kong's attack on Riesha Saeed.

Match Five - Rhino vs. Hernandez

Team 3D joined Mike Tenay and Taz on commentary for this match. This was a back and forth match, that saw Hernandez get the victory with a top rope splash.

Winner Via Pinfall - Hernandez

After the match, Rhino attacked Hernandez, who turned the tables again and went on the offensive. He put Rhino up for the Border Toss, but Team 3D intervened and raised his hand in victory.

Backstage, Jeremy Borash spoke to Kurt Angle about his comments from earlier in the night. Angle went on to mention that Rhino is paranoid about TNA management wanting to replace the veterans. Angle also said that after Turning Point, he wanted a shot at the TNA Heavyweight Championship. As Angle was talking, Desmond Wolfe, formally known as Nigel McGuinness, walked in and introduced himself. He talked about how Angle was his reason for getting into the business. He shook hands and was about to leave, but before he did, he removed his sunglasses and lunged at the Olympic Gold Medalist, taking him to the ground with a flurry of forearms and uppercuts. With Angle down, Wolfe calmly exited the room, as Borash checked on Angle.

Following a commercial break, Mike Tenay and Taz recapped Desmond Wolfe's attack on Kurt Angle.

Match Six - Ultimate X Number One Contenders Match for a Shot at the TNA Tag Team Championships - Lethal Consequences (Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed) vs. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin)

As expected, this was a good match. After a back and forth battle, Chris Sabin was able to climb his way to the "X" and pull it down to earn a TNA Tag Team Championship match at Turning Point.

Winners Via Grabbing the "X" and NEW Number One Contenders to the TNA Tag Team Championships - The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin)

Don West pushed the upcoming live events.

Lauren spoke to The British Invasion and congratulated them on winning the TNA Tag Team Championships. Brutus Magnus declared victory and said that the Invasion was going to retain their tag gold within the Six Sides of Steel.

Jeremy Borash talked to Beer Money Inc who said that this was their last shot at the TNA Tag Team titles, but it was the only shot they needed.

Match Seven - TNA Tag Team Championship Six Sides of Steel Match - Beer Money Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode) vs. The British Invasion (Brutus Magnus and Doug Williams) w/ Rob Terry (C)

Beer Money Inc. had the match won after hitting Doug Williams with the DWI, but as they made the pinfall attempt, Brutus Magnus punched referee, Mark "Slick" Johnson, forcing the other referees to run out, with Earl Hebner calling it an automatic disqualification. Beer Money Inc wins the match, but The British Invasion retain the TNA Tag Team titles.

Winners Via Disqualification - Beer Money Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode) - STILL TNA Tag Team Champions - The British Invasion (Brutus Magnus and Doug Williams)

Mike Tenay and Taz said that Kurt Angle was on his way to the ring.

Backstage, Lauren caught up with AJ Styles and asked about an issue that had occurred between him and Daniels. Styles told her they were just talking strategy and that everything was fine. As Styles walked to his car, he was attacked by and unidentified bald man.

Kurt Angle entered the Impact Zone in his wrestling gear, as the ring crew was taking down the Six Sides of Steel. Angle called out Desmond Wolfe and said he was ready to fight. Angle waited for a bit and headed back up the ramp to find him, when he was attacked from behind. Wolfe had the upperhand, but Angle fought back and tossed him all around ringside. Back in the ring, Wolfe caught Angle with a headbutt to the stomach and low blow. He then put Angle down the with Tower of London. Wolfe grabbed a steel chair and placed it on Angle's neck, saying that he could take him out right there, but that it would be too easy. He told Angle that he wanted him to think about it and reminded him once again that his name is Desmond Wolfe. Great way to bring Nigel McGuinness in.
