Impact: Two titles changes on 200th episode
By CHRIS & BRYAN SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

Congratulations are in order for TNA as tonight marks the company's 200th episode of Impact. This evening's show will be capped off with a huge tag team main event, as Mick Foley teams with Bobby Lashley to take on Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash for Mafia gold. Plus the IWGP tag titles are up for grabs as Team 3D does battle with The British Invasion in a Tables match, while Hernandez wages war against Samoa Joe. All this and more on the 200th edition of Impact.

The show began with a special opening video that highlighted the company's history.

Mike Tenay and Don West did their usual welcome, as The Main Event Mafia made their way into the Impact Zone.

As The Main Event Mafia entered the ring, Kurt Angle grabbed the mic and talked about how Bobby Lashley took liberties last week and tried to make a name for himself off the Mafia. Angle said that he and Lashley had an agreement and that Lashley was supposed to join them, but instead, he took matters into his own hands. This brought out Lashley, who admitted that he did want to join the Mafia, but said that he changed his mind because they weren't hungry anymore. Lashley talked about wanting to win titles and said he couldn't do that if he was in the Mafia. He went on to say that he couldn't be bought like Taz and Samoa Joe. He also mentioned that he had an offer for the Mafia that they couldn't refuse, which brought out Mick Foley. Foley talked about the ratings and said that was why he was making the challenge for later on where he and Lashley would team up to take on Angle and Kevin Nash for their two titles. Whoever gets pinned or made to submit would lose their belt to the person who beat them. Angle stared back at Lashley and Foley and accepted the challenge. Great main event for the 200th episode.

Mike Tenay and Don West then ran down the card for the show.

Hernandez made his entrance and after a commercial break, the first match of the episode was ready to get going.

Match One - Hernandez vs. Samoa Joe w/ Taz

This was a good back and forth match. Samoa Joe went for a superplex on Hernandez, only to get shoved down to the mat and hit with a big splash off the top rope to give Hernandez the win. Wow, way to make him look strong on his comeback.

Winner Via Pinfall - Hernandez

After the match, Samoa Joe and Taz sulked on the floor, as Jeremy Borash spoke to Hernandez at ringside. Hernandez said that he was back, he was healthy and he was aiming to become the first Latino TNA Heavyweight Champion.

Samoa Joe was shown throwing a fit backstage, as Taz told him that Hernandez didn't beat him, he beat himself.

Lauren talked to Matt Morgan, who expressed his extreme interest in joining the Main Event Mafia. Morgan said that if he could beat AJ Styles in the two out of three falls series, he would be in the main event at Hard Justice and he would be in the Main Event Mafia. Morgan's push is another positive for TNA. He and Hernandez could probably put on some good matches together.

Jeremy Borash caught up with AJ Styles, who said that he and Eric Young would cross paths again, but tonight he was focused on Matt Morgan and making it to the main event of Hard Justice. Styles and Young is another potentially good feud waiting to happen. TNA is starting to cook here.

Backstage, Jeremy Borash spoke to Bobby Lahsley and Mick Foley. Borash asked Lashley where he had been after his appearance at Lockdown. Lashley said that he beat Bob Sapp and was ready to join the Main Event Mafia, but he saw what Foley was fighting for last week and changed his mind. Foley said that it was highly important that they capture some Mafia gold later on. Foley talked about fighting for his pride and said that he was happy that Lashley made the right decision for TNA last week.

Matt Morgan and AJ Styles both had video packages accompany their entrances.

Match Two - Match #1 in a Best of Three Series to determine the third entrant in the Hard Justice Main Event - Matt Morgan vs. AJ Styles

Matt Morgan displayed his power early on, as Mike Tenay talked about the Steel Asylum match at Hard Justice and how it would determine a number one contender for the TNA X Division Championship. Styles utilized his speed to the fullest and hit a springboard 450 splash on Morgan to pick up the victory.

Winner Via Pinfall - AJ Styles - Styles leads the Series 1-0

Lauren talked to Traci Brooks backstage, who said that she tried getting work in TNA for months, but all they said was that they had nothing for her. She said Angle came to her with the money and she took it. She said that the business wasn't for soft girls, but rather for "bitches" like her.

A package was shown that recapped the history between Tara and The Beautiful People.

Don West conducted a sit-down interview with Tara, who talked about wanting to have a positive experience with TNA. She mentioned how great Awesome Kong is, before West interjected his feelings about The Beautiful People. Tara told West that she came to TNA to prove that she still has "it."

Match Three - Six Knockout Tag Team Match - Tara, Awesome Kong and ODB w/ Riesha Saeed and Cody Deaner vs. The Beautiful People (Angelina Love, Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne)

During the match, Awesome Kong and Tara got into it and the two brawled to the backstage area. Also during the match, The Motor City Machine Guns were shown sitting in the crowd with signs that read, "Conspiracy Theory" and "Yes We Work Here." Ha, ha. The Beautiful People had the three-on-one advantage, until Cody Deaner jumped up and distracted Angelina Love. She teased him and he kissed her, shocking her and allowing ODB to roll her up from behind for the pin.

Winners Via Pinfall - Tara, Awesome Kong and ODB

Eric Young and The World Elite were shown walking backstage.

A package was shown highlighting Eric Young's turn and formation of The World Elite.

The World Elite then entered the Impact Zone. Eric Young had a hair buzzer with him. Brutus Magnus introduced Young as the group's leader and Young took the mic. Young went on a tirade, bashing the United States and saying that the only time he got cheered, was when he was making the people laugh. Young said that he was going to be who he wanted to be and he began shaving his head. Young then called out Team 3D. Brother Ray told Young to "love it or leave it" and called The World Elite a bunch of punks. Team 3D hit the ring and their match with The British Invasion was on.

Match Four - IWGP Tag Team Championship Tables Match - The British Invasion (Brutus Magnus & Doug Williams) w/ Eric Young, Rob Terry, Sheik Abdul Bashir and Kiyoshi vs. Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon)

Team 3D did their best to keep the rest of The World Elite out of the match, but after referee Earl Hebner got knocked out, total chaos ensued. Rob Terry got involved, but Brother Devon was able to get the upperhand on Brutus Magnus, powerbombing him through a table that was already set up in the ring. Hebner was down, as Eric Young hit the ring and whacked Devon with one of the IWGP tag team titles, moving Magnus out of the ring and putting Devon in his place. Young then woke Hebner up, and he called for the bell.

Winners Via Putting Their Opponents Through A Table and NEW IWGP Tag Team Champions - The British Invasion (Brutus Magnus and Doug Williams)

Mike Tenay pushed the main event tag team match.

A package was shown with footage of TNA at Comic-Con this past weekend in San Diego, CA.

Backstage, Lauren was with Dr. Stevie, who was throwing a fit and saying that he placed a $50,000 bounty on the head of Abyss.

They showed footage of Rhino and Jesse Neal training. Oh yeah, forgot about that whole thing. This footage was interrupted by a Main Event Mafia beatdown of Bobby Lashley and Mick Foley. Security came in and broke things up.

After a commercial break, Beer Money Inc. was shown brawling backstage with Booker T and Scott Steiner.

Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash made their entrances into the Impact Zone. Bobby Lashley was announced, but did not come out. Mick Foley was then announced and he did not come out either. As Angle and Nash were about to be declared the winners, Foley emerged and the match was on.

Match Five - TNA Heavyweight and Legends Championship Match - Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash (C) vs. Mick Foley and Bobby Lashley

Mick Foley started the match handicap style. Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash put a beating on Foley. Mick was able to fight back, until Nash hit him with a big boot and Angle applied the Ankle Lock. The lights went out as Sting's theme began to play. When the lights came back on, Sting was shown in the crowd pointing his bat at Angle and Nash. The lights went out again and when they came back on, Bobby Lashley was in the ring with a bandage on his head. Lashley took Angle and Nash down and hit Nash with a spear, allowing Foley to make the cover and get the win.

Winners Via Pinfall - Mick Foley and Bobby Lashley - NEW TNA Legends Champion - Mick Foley

Chris & Bryan Sokol are from Long Island, NY and would like to congratulate TNA on their big accomplishment.
