ECW: Dreamer signs new contract, Hart Dynasty comes out on top
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on ECW on Sci-Fi: Old school is cool in the Land of Extreme! ECW Original Tommy Dreamer came out on top in the triple threat match at Extreme Rules, besting Christian and Jack Swagger to win the title. Tonight is his first appearance with the championship. Should be a good one!

And we are "LIVE!" from Biloxi, Miss. Josh Mathews and Matt Striker are our hosts. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

We start out the show with ECW General Manager Tiffany in the middle of the ring. She brings out our new ECW Champion, Tommy Dreamer to a nice ovation to sign his new ECW contract. He says it's because of the fans that this happened. He says this is the greatest highlight of his career. As he goes to sign the contract, Christian heads to the ring.

Christian gives Dreamer a box of tissues, calling him a crybaby. Christian, of course, brings up the fact that he wasn't pinned to lose the title. But he says he's happy Dreamer is still here. As Dreamer goes to sign again, he interrupted this time by Jack Swagger.

He's indignant about the one-day extension Dreamer signed. He's going to file suit with the Board of Directors to strip Dreamer of the title. He says Christian can be apart of it as well. Then Christian swerves everyone by appearing to side with Swagger before attacking him. He and Dreamer clothesline Swagger out of the ring.

Dreamer then finally signs the contract and heads to the second turnbuckle to celebrate. But then Christian swerves us again by going under Dreamer and power bombing him through the table that was in the ring for the signing.

Tiffany is backstage mediating an accident where a crewmember tells her a "guy in green" came and saved him by pushing him out of the way of a light. Christian then comes strolling by and Tiffany confronts him about his actions. She says because he attacked Dreamer, his parter in the main event against the Hart Dynasty will be Jack Swagger.

Match #1 - Tony Atlas (Roanoke, Va.) vs. Evan Bourne (St. Louis, MO)

Atlas uses his power early, and, to Atlas' credit, he's lasted longer without blowing up than Shane McMahon did.

Bourne gets off some random kicks but Atlas puts him on the ground with a chinlock but Bourne gets out and hits a flying knee and the standing moonsault. Atlas gets some moves in but Bourne hits a facebuster and follows with the Shooting Star Press for the win.

Winner via pinfall: Evan Bourne

With Bourne's back turned, Mark Henry enters the ring and attacks the winner. He hits the World's Strongest Slam and walks away.

Match #2 - Handicap Match - Kozlov (Moscow, Russia) vs. Luke Hawx & Chris Lewie (417 pounds)

Kozlov squash, 93 seconds.

Winner via pinfall: Kozlov

Backstage, Christian is waiting for Swagger. Swagger tells Christian he knows he doesn't want to be his partner, but Swagger says he's a winner. Christian calls him a gearbox. Swagger says he'll hold up his end of the bargain tonight.

They announce that this Monday, the WWE Championship will be decided in a Fatal Four-Way between Randy Orton, Triple H, John Cena and Big Show. For the ECW Championship, Christian will get his rematch with Dreamer.

Match #3 - The Hart Dynasty (Calgary, Alberta) vs. Jack Swagger (Perry, Okla.) & Christian (Toronto, Ontario)

Hilariously, Swagger drops down in the aisle-way and does a few pushups.

Swagger and Kidd, who were partners last two weeks ago, go at it. Then Swagger tags Christian in by shoving him off the apron.

Christian comes in and hits a missile dropkick but when he doesn't follow, Swagger pushes him right into a Kidd kick.

We're back and Smith has Christian in a standing vertical suplex. He drops him and gets two. Kidd comes in and goes to work on Christian but misses a moonsault that puts him in a bad way. Christian goes toward Swagger to tag him but just slaps him instead. Kidd tags in Smith but Christian is strong, hitting a tornado DDT but misses a flying headbutt.

Kidd comes back in and has the same luck as Smith. As Christian goes to hit the Killswitch near his own corner, Swagger grabs him and pulls him down on the top rope. As Christian staggers in the middle of the ring, Kidd tags Smith who lifts him up and Kidd comes flying by for the Hart Attack.

Winners via pinfall: The Hart Dynasty

Following the match, they all start to beat on Christian until Dreamer makes the save. The Harts scatter and Dreamer beats Swagger with the cane until he rolls out.
