Impact: Getting Extreme
By CHRIS & BRYAN SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

With Sacrifice in the books, TNA looks forward towards Slammiversary. On tonight's episode of Impact, King of the Mountain qualifying matches will take place, as AJ Styles does battle with Daniels and Jeff Jarrett takes on Eric Young. Plus the TNA Knockouts Championship is up for grabs when Angelina Love defends against Sojournor Bolt.

The show began with a recap of Sacrifice, followed by the Impact opener and the usual welcome from Mike Tenay and Don West.

Match One - TNA X Division Championship Match - Amazing Red vs. Suicide (C)

The Main Event Mafia were shown arriving to the Impact Zone during this match. Amazing Red almost had the win here, but Suicide was able to fight back and hit the Suicide Solution to get the pinfall.

Winner Via Pinfall and STILL TNA X Division Champion - Suicide

The Main Event Mafia came to the ring next. After a commercial break, Sting addressed the crowd and the Mafia and said that since he beat Kurt Angle at Sacrifice, he was now the leader. He said that they have strayed from their mission of putting respect back into TNA and that now it was time to focus. He mentioned that Jenna Morasca and Sharmell were just distractions and are therefore no longer associated with the Mafia. Kevin Nash and Booker T threw a fit over this decision. Sting then directed his attention to Angle and the Mafia security. Sting fired the security team, as Angle threw a fit. Sting went on to say that if anyone had a problem, to speak now. Samoa Joe came out and said that one man can't tame four and that he is on a mission to take out the Mafia one-by-one until only Angle is left. He said that he has been ordered to kill Angle.

Jeremy Borash spoke to Mick Foley who made two King of the Mountain Qualifying matches: Jeff Jarrett vs. Eric Young and AJ Styles vs. Daniels.

Jeremy Borash interviewed the British Invasion and mentioned how they stole LAX's briefcases. Brutus Magnus got upset, as Doug Williams said that he would offer anyone in TNA a shot to get the briefcases from them. Later on, Williams would be facing Cody Deaner in a Ladder Match for the TNA X Division title shot briefcase. Borash also asked about Sheik Abdul Bashir and Kiyoshi, to which Magnus said he didn't know what he was talking about.

Lauren talked with Jenna Morasca, who asked why Sharmell was mad at her. She said that Booker T would have had his arm broken at Sacrifice if she didn't do what she did. Sharmell came in and began choking Morasca, until Booker broke them up.

Lauren was supposed to speak with Sojournor Bolt, but Dr. Stevie came in. Stevie pushed Lauren around and said that he had mind control over Abyss. Stevie told Lauren to make an appointment with his receptionist.

Match Two - Ladder Match for the TNA X Division Title Shot Briefcase - Doug Williams (Holder of the Briefcase) w/ Rob Terry and Brutus Magnus vs. Cody Deaner

It was announced that due to a death in the family, Homicide was unable to be at Impact. Cody Deaner went after Doug Williams, but thanks to some help from Rob Terry and Brutus Magnus on the outside, Williams was eventually able to take control of the match. As Deaner was about to get the briefcase, Williams sent him to the floor and retrieved it himself for the win.

Winner Via Grabbing the Briefcase and STILL Number One Contender to the TNA X Division Championship - Doug Williams

After the match, Sheik Abdul Bashir and Kiyoshi congratulated the British Invasion.

Jeremy Borash spoke to Jeff Jarrett, who said that maybe Eric Young was onto something with all of his complaining. Jarrett said that he was going to watch Young in the ring later on. Borash asked about what happened at TNA Headquarters earlier in the day, but Jarrett said he wouldn't dignify it with an answer.

Dr. Stevie was in the ring, when he called out Abyss. Stevie told Abyss that they both have an addiction to violence, but said that he was civilized, while Abyss is a monster. Stevie told Abyss that it was time to start the whole therapy process over. He gave Abyss a straightjacket and screamed at him to put it on. Abyss did and Stevie grabbed a kendo stick. Lauren came out to protect him, followed by Raven who entered through the crowd. Raven took the kendo stick next and began whacking Abyss with it. Stevie apologized to Abyss and said that, that was all the time they had for this week. Raven and Stevie hugged, as Lauren looked on, screaming at them.

The Beautiful People were shown making their way into the Impact Zone.

Match Three - TNA Knockouts Championship Match - Angelina Love w/ Velvet Sky, Madison Rayne and Cute Kip (C) vs. Sojournor Bolt

Sojournor Bolt brought the heavy offense to Angelina Love who came back with a shot of hairspray to the eyes of Bolt, leading to the pinfall and the win.

Winner Via Pinfall and STILL TNA Knockouts Champion - Angelina Love

After the match, Angelina Love asked Cute Kip why he was still around, before firing him again. As security escorted Kip out of the Impact Zone, Love went on to talk about how dominating the Beautiful People are. She asked for some serious competition, which brought out the debuting, Victoria. Victoria hit the ring and laid out Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne, before putting Love down with the Widows Peak. Victoria grabbed the mic and told Love to consider her challenge, accepted.

Jeremy Borash talked to Eric Young about his lack of opportunity in TNA. Young said that when TNA needs something from him, he does it, but they can't return the favor. Young promised that tonight would be a night that Jeff Jarrett wouldn't forget.

Mick Foley was shown on his way into the Impact Zone.

Jeremy Borash was shown with The Motor City Machine Guns and Lethal Consequences. Jay Lethal said that if they all worked together, they could find out the identity of Suicide.

Mick Foley entered the Impact Zone and talked about how it has been a rough week for him. Foley said that next week on Impact, it would be Samoa Joe vs. Kevin Nash in a Lethal Lockdown King of the Mountain Qualifying match. Foley talked about being in the King of the Mountain match at Slammiversary and said that when he wins, he will only be defending the TNA Heavyweight Championship once a year.

Jeremy Borash spoke with AJ Styles and Daniels, who said that they came to TNA to be the best. Samoa Joe walked in and said that he wanted things to be the way they were. Styles told him they would talk after the main event.

Match Four - King of the Mountain Qualifying Match - Eric Young vs. Jeff Jarrett

Eric Young refused to shake hands with Jeff Jarrett before the match. Jarrett went on to pick up the win, rolling through a wheelbarrow neckbreaker to get the pin and advance to the King of the Mountain match.

Winner Via Pinfall and Advancing to the King of the Mountain Match - Jeff Jarrett

After the match, Eric Young offered Jeff Jarrett a handshake and the two shook. As Jarrett was celebrating, Young attacked him from behind and beat on the injured hamstring. Young hit a top rope elbow drop on Jarrett and left him laying.

Jeremy Borash caught up with Eric Young, who said that Jeff Jarrett wouldn't forget about him again.

In the ring, Team 3D presented Beer Money Inc. with their trophies and giant check for winning the Team 3D Tag Team Invitational. 3D put over Beer Money for being a great tag team. Robert Roode thanked Team 3D for allowing them to prove that they are the best tag team around and that if they didn't believe it, they would after Slammiversary.AJ Styles' theme music was performed live, as he made his way into the ring.

Match Five - King of the Mountain Qualifying Match - AJ Styles vs. Daniels

This was a good back and forth match. Daniels was able to reverse the Styles Clash into the Angel's Wings, which Styles reversed into a roll-up to get the pin.

Winner Via Pinfall and Advancing into the King of the Mountain Match - AJ Styles

After the match, AJ Styles and Daniels hugged, as Shane Douglas entered through the crowd. As Styles left the ring, Douglas wrapped a chain around his hand and spun Daniels around, knocking him out with a punch. Styles ran back to the ring and checked on Daniels, as Douglas ran away, rounding out another episode of Impact.
