Impact: Jarrett enters Ultimate Sacrifice
By CHRIS & BRYAN SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

Sacrifice is right around the corner and the main event stage is just about set, as Mick Foley puts his TNA Heavyweight Championship on the line against challengers, Kurt Angle and Sting. Tonight on Impact, the fourth slot in that match-up will be filled and all four competitors will be in action. Plus, the team of Daniels and Suicide step in the ring to take on Lethal Consequences and The Motor City Machine Guns.

The show began with a recap of the Mick Foley/Jeff Jarrett feud, followed by the traditional Impact opening and greeting from Mike Tenay and Don West.

Jeff Jarrett entered the Impact Zone, limping, and talked about the beating he received from Mick Foley last week. Jarrett said that for every action there was a reaction and that he was entering himself as the fourth competitor in the Ultimate Sacrifice main event for the TNA Heavyweight Championship at Sacrifice. Jarrett said that Foley has caused more chaos than the Main Event Mafia and said that he wasn't fit to be a World Champion. This brought out Foley, who mocked Jarrett. Foley questioned Jarrett as to what he would be sacrificing to be in the match. Jarrett offered his management rights, while Foley poked him to put up his share in TNA. Jarrett eventually said he was all in at Sacrifice, before leaving the ring. As Jarrett was headed to his locker room, Foley said that he wanted the four competitors in the Ultimate Sacrifice match to be in shape, so he made matches for each of them on Impact. Foley announced, Sting vs. Eric Young, Kurt Angle vs. Matt Morgan and Jeff Jarrett vs. Samoa Joe for later on Impact. Foley went on to say that he would be taking on a former World Champion that had been talking trash about him, in the main event.

In the Main Event Mafia locker room, Kurt Angle was looking for Sting. Scott Steiner was trying to keep Angle calm, as Angle said that he needed to make sure Sting knew his role at Sacrifice.

Lauren spoke to Daniels and Suicide about teaming up, even though they would be opponents at Sacrifice. Daniels said that they would be able to work together tonight, but at Sacrifice, he would defeat Suicide and capture the TNA X Division Championship. Lauren asked "Who is Suicide?" The X Division champ responded by saying, "I am Suicide."

Match One - Three Way Tag Team Match - Daniels and Suicide vs. Lethal Consequences (Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed) vs. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin)

Lethal Consequences and The Motor City Machine Guns beat on Daniels, until he made the hot tag to Suicide. The match eventually broke down, with Daniels hitting a Split Legged Moonsault on Jay Lethal, while Suicide hit the Codebreaker on Alex Shelley to get the win.

Winners Via Pinfall - Daniels and Suicide

Kurt Angle was shown looking for Sting in the rafters.

A Sting "Cross the Line" video package was shown.

Earlier in the day, Kevin Nash and Booker T were training. Booker told AJ Styles that he wouldn't quit at Sacrifice, while Nash said that when he was born, he poked the doctor in the eye.

Team 3D entered the Impact Zone and talked about how well their Tag Team Invitational was going. 3D also talked about how the British Invasion has been crapping on them in a way. 3D gave Beer Money Inc. props for having some class nowadays and promised that the British Invasion would not show them up again. This brought out the British Invasion, who said they were the only royalty in TNA. 3D then attacked them, only to have the tables turned, as Rob Terry hit Brother Devon with a running powerslam. Just as the British Invasion was about to put Team 3D through tables, Beer Money Inc. came out and made the save, forcing the British Invasion to retreat. Robert Roode told them that if they wanted to fight, to have the balls to fight fair. As the British Invasion headed to the backstage area, they were met by Sheik Abdul Bashir and Kiyoshi.

Backstage, Jeff Jarrett was shown telling Eric Young to be a man and prove himself. Young told Jarrett that as a friend, he was going to regret saying that.

Jeremy Borash was shown with Kurt Angle and Sting. Angle talked about getting screwed at Lockdown, while Sting said that he got screwed to. Angle proposed they team up at Sacrifice, to which Sting agreed.

Match Two - Eric Young vs. Sting

Eric Young had things going his way, until he missed a missle dropkick and Sting locked in the Scorpion Deathlock to get the submission victory.

Winner Via Submission - Sting

Angelina Love was shown walking backstage, on her way to the TNA Knockouts Championship match, contract signing for Sacrifice.

Jeremy Borash caught up with Mick Foley and asked if his opponent was who he thought it was. Foley told Borash to just go away.

Jim Cornette and the TNA referees were in the ring for the TNA Knockouts Championship match contract signing. Angelina Love came out first with security, who were sent away by Cornette, since their were referees in the ring. Awesome Kong came out next with Riesha Saeed. Love signed the contract, followed by Saeed on behalf of Kong. Cornette then asked for their thoughts heading into Sacrifice. Love apologized to Kong and said that after Sacrifice, she would give her a makeover. Love continued on with the insults and said to send her best to the fat farm. When they went to shake hands, Kong didn't let go and attempted to slam Love through the table, but the referees broke it up. Kong then took referee, Rudy Charles and put him through the table.

Lauren and Abyss were shown looking for Dr. Stevie. Lauren was telling Abyss how her and Taylor Wilde were best friends. When they saw the receptionist, she said that Dr. Stevie was out until Monday.

Lauren spoke to AJ Styles, who said that he has never quit in his life and he won't quit at Sacrifice. Lauren asked him about Samoa Joe and Styles said that there was nothing between them.

Lauren talked with Matt Morgan, who said that there are times you need to make certain decisions. Morgan said that he wanted to play for the winning team, which is the Main Event Mafia. He went on to say that he was going to prove himself to Kurt Angle in their match.

Match Three - Matt Morgan vs. Kurt Angle

This was a good back and forth match here. Kurt Angle had Matt Morgan in the ankle lock, but Morgan escaped. Morgan went for the Hellevator, which Angle reversed into a cradle pin to pick up the victory.

Winner Via Pinfall - Kurt Angle

After the match, Kurt Angle shook hands with Matt Morgan.

Lauren asked Jeff Jarrett about his hamstring, to which Jarrett said he was locked in a battle of wills with Mick Foley and he wasn't going to let Foley win. Jarrett said that when Mick Foley is defeated at Sacrifice, TNA will be back to normal.

Lauren caught up with Jenna Morasca, who said that Sharmell had until Sacrifice to apologize to her.

A Mick Foley "Cross the Line" video package was shown.

Match Four - Jeff Jarrett vs. Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe attacked Jeff Jarrett as he was making his entrance. Joe and Jarrett fought in the crowd, with Joe attacking the injured leg of Jarrett. When referee, Mark "Slick" Johnson tried to stop him, Joe shoved him into the guardrail, which brought out another referee and security who called for the bell.

Winner - No Contest

Samoa Joe continued to attack the leg of Jeff Jarrett, hitting it with a steel chair. AJ Styles came out to break things up, only to wind up brawling with Joe himself. Security got involved and pulled them apart.

Mick Foley entered the Impact Zone and introduced his opponent as "Rocky Balboa."

Match Five - Mick Foley vs. "Rocky Balboa"

"Rocky Balboa" was a cardboard cutout and was accompanied by Mickie and his entourage. Mick Foley had a stare down with the cutout, until he had the guy controlling it attack him. Foley fought back and hit the cutout with a suplex and piledriver, before finishing him off with an elbow drop for the pin.

Winner Via Pinfall - Mick Foley

After the match, Mick Foley grabbed the mic and thanked Rocky, the fans and TNA. Jeff Jarrett came out and told Foley that he made a mockery of TNA. Jarrett then attacked Foley, which brought out Kurt Angle, who hit the Angle Slam on Jarrett and locked in the Ankle Lock. Sting came out to split them up, only to get laid out by Foley. Jarrett got back up and took out Angle, as Foley waited and put down Jarrett as well. Foley then stood tall, rounding out another episode of Impact.

Chris and Bryan Sokol are from Long Island, NY and enjoy tag team reporting for SLAM! Bryan would also like to note that he had a great time at the 2009 Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame ceremony, along with Blaine Van Der Greind, Steve Johnson and Greg Oliver.
