Impact: Sting makes it to Ultimate Sacrifice
By CHRIS & BRYAN SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

Last week on Impact, Sting made his surprise return, laying out Mick Foley in his own office. Tonight, the Main Event Mafia will be in Ten Man Tag Team action as they take on Frontline members, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Jeff Jarrett, Mick Foley and Christopher Daniels. Also on tap, the Team 3D invitational continues and the Knockouts do battle in a Stretcher match.

The show began with a video package which highlighted the turmoil between Jeff Jarrett and Mick Foley, as well as the war between the Main Event Mafia and The Frontline. Bobby Lashley's appearances were also recapped.

The Impact opener aired, followed by the usual Mike Tenay and Don West welcome.

The Main Event Mafia entered the Impact Zone, with Kurt Angle taking the lead and Sting following up in the rear. Angle talked about how with Sting's help, he was able to take out Mick Foley. Angle said the only reason he didn't take Foley's job was because he wanted to leave him with some dignity. Angle talked about winning the TNA Heavyweight Championship at Sacrifice and also brought up the Ten Man Tag Team main event between the Mafia and the Frontline later on. Angle asked why Foley made the match and demanded that he come out and answer them right away. Mick Foley entered next, with Daniels by his side. Foley said the match would indeed be happening, because up until now, he's felt immune to the Mafia, but after what they did last week, he has to take action. Foley announced his partners as, Daniels, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Jeff Jarrett and vowed to take care of the Mafia later on. He also said that at Sacrifice he would beat Angle to retain the TNA Heavyweight Championship and become the new "Godfather" of the Mafia. Jeff Jarrett arrived on the scene with AJ Styles by his side and complained to Foley about making big decisions without him. The two argued with each other, as Angle asked if they could all just get along for the main event later on.

Backstage, Lauren caught up with Samoa Joe as he was being dropped off at the Impact Zone. Lauren asked who he was with and he just walked away.

After a commercial break, Mike Tenay welcomed us back and recapped what happened last week when the Motor City Machine Guns accused Daniels of being Suicide.

Match One - Consequences Creed w/ "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal vs. Suicide

This was a good match. While at ringside, Jay Lethal questioned if Suicide was actually Daniels. Consequences Creed had things going in his favor, until Suicide reversed him and put him down with a double knee jawbreaker for the win.

Winner Via Pinfall - Suicide

Jeremy Borash and Mick Foley were in the office, when Matt Morgan came in and requested a match with either Rocco or Sal from Main Event Mafia Security. Morgan said he wanted a chance to prove himself to the Mafia. Foley granted the match, as Borash questioned why Foley would want a guy like Morgan in the Mafia. Foley said that he might tweak the match a little bit, before telling Borash he had an important call. Foley then picked up the phone and asked to be connected to someone.

Lauren spoke to The Beautiful People, about Velvet Sky's stretcher match with Awesome Kong later on. They mention what happened to Madison Rayne last week, as Angelina Love tries to console Sky. Love says that she beat Kong for the TNA Knockouts Championship and as long as Sky stays out of her way, she will be fine. However, Sky remained scared by the thought of what could happen to her later on.

Mike Tenay did a sit down interview with the Main Event Mafia, who pretty much said that they are on the same page now and that they will not stop until they are running TNA.

Lauren was backstage with Taylor Wilde and asked her if she has ever seen Awesome Kong in this frame of mind before. Wilde said never, before talking about the fact that she has a secret admirer and she's going on a date with him next Tuesday. She asked Lauren to come as they talked about what they were going to wear. Looks like the Abyss love triangle has turned into a love square between he, Daffney, Lauren and now Wilde.

Jeremy Borash caught up with Jeff Jarrett and asked him about Mick Foley's booking of matches and how he's lost his mind. Jarrett didn't want to deal with it and pretty much threw Borash out of the locker room.

Match Two - Handicap Match - Main Event Mafia Security (Rocco and Sal) vs. Matt Morgan

Matt Morgan looked impressive here and beat the duo after hitting Sal with the Carbon Footprint.

Winner Via Pinfall - Matt Morgan

Jeremy Borash was back in Mick Foley's office, as Foley told him that he was making a tweak to the main event. Foley said that since Jeff Jarrett's guitar has been causing so many problems lately, he is banning it from ringside during the main event. Foley told Borash that he had to tell Jarrett for him. He also told Borash to leave him alone for the rest of the night, because he was turning off his monitor and getting ready for the Ten Man Tag Team match.

Lauren interviewed Eric Young and Jethro Holliday. Young said that he's beaten both Robert Roode and James Storm on pay-per-view and knows their weaknesses. He promised another victory and advancement to the finals of the Team 3D invitational tournament. Before they left, Holliday blew a snot bubble at Lauren.

Team 3D entered the Impact Zone with a novelty check and trophy, as they joined Mike Tenay and Don West on commentary.

Match Three - Team 3D Tag Team Invitational Semi-Final Match - Beer Money Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode) vs. Eric Young and Jethro Holliday

This was a great back and forth match. Eric Young had the match won, but the referee was caught up with Jethro Holliday and Robert Roode in the corner, leading to some tension between Young and Holliday that proved to be the team's downfall, as Young turned into the Last Call and got hit with the DWI to give Beer Money Inc. the win.

Winners Via Pinfall - Beer Money Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode)

Lauren stood by with Awesome Kong and Riesha Saeed, who pretty much guaranteed the destruction of Velvet Sky and said that Angelina Love would be the ultimate sacrifice.

Match Four - TNA Knockouts Stretcher Match - Velvet Sky w/ Angelina Love vs. Awesome Kong w/ Riesha Saeed

Referee, Earl Hebner sent Angelina Love and Riesha Saeed to the backstage area at the start of the match. Awesome Kong proceeded to destroy Velvet Sky with Implant Buster after Implant Buster, before putting her down for the ten count with a devastating Awesome Bomb. TNA security came out and dragged Sky away as Kong stood tall.

Winner Via Putting Their Opponent on a Stretcher for a Ten Count - Awesome Kong

After a commercial break, Abyss was shown in Dr. Stevie's office. Dr. Stevie brought in Daffney and said that he needed Abyss to transfer his aggression to her and be in her corner, because at Sacrifice, she would be competing in the first ever, Knockouts Monsters Ball Match. Dr. Stevie asked Abyss if he could do that, and when Abyss didn't answer right away, Stevie took off his belt. Abyss then told Stevie that he would be in her corner at Sacrifice.

Consequences Creed and Jay Lethal entered the Impact Zone and called out Daniels. They said that he was Suicide and much like last week, Daniels took offense to their accusations. Daniels told Creed that if he worried more about beating Suicide and not who was under the mask, he may have won. Daniels also called Lethal the biggest joke in TNA. Lethal got upset and slapped Daniels, as Creed tried to separate them. The Motor City Machine Guns came out and said that it's a family show and they need to keep everything family friendly. The Guns then promised to un-mask Suicide next week and prove that it really is Daniels under the mask.

Jeremy Borash was shown with Jeff Jarrett, talking about all the crazy things Mick Foley has done recently. Jarrett accused him of stirring the pot. Sting walked in and told Jarrett that he wasn't going to complain about not getting a rematch with Mick Foley after Lockdown, but said that if he pins Foley in the main event, he wants in the Ultimate Sacrifice match. Jarrett grants him the opportunity, but reminds him that he will have to offer up something to sacrifice, which Sting agrees to.

Lauren was with Angelina Love, who was freaking out. She got on the phone and called someone, saying that they needed to be at Impact next week to protect her from Awesome Kong.

Mike Tenay and Don West hyped the upcoming House Shows, before a video package was shown on the Main Event Mafia's destruction.

Match Five - Ten Man Tag Team Match - The Main Event Mafia (Sting, Kurt Angle, Booker T, Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner) w/ Sharmell and Jenna Morasca vs. The Frontline (Mick Foley, Jeff Jarrett, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Daniels)

This was a good main event, with the Main Event Mafia really working over AJ Styles. Styles eventually made the tag to Mick Foley, as the match proceeded to break down. Kurt Angle went to use the barbed wire bat that Foley brought to ringside on Jarrett, but Jarrett hit him with a low blow and retrieved the bat. Foley then grabbed the bat away from Jarrett, who shoved Foley. When Foley went to hit Jarrett with the bat, he ducked and hit him with a low blow, before putting him down with the Stroke on the bat. Sting slid into the ring and made the cover to get the pinfall victory and move into the main event at Sacrifice.

Winners Via Pinfall - The Main Event Mafia (Sting, Kurt Angle, Booker T, Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner)

After the match, Samoa Joe, Daniels and AJ Styles argued with Jeff Jarrett, as he tried to explain that Mick Foley swung at him with the barbed wire baseball bat.

After a commercial break, a recap of the main event was shown, with Sting in the ring. Sting said that he has good news and bad news. He says the good news is that since he made the deal with Jeff Jarrett before the match, he has now earned a spot in the Sacrifice main event. He says that the bad news is that if he gets pinned or made to submit a Sacrifice, he will retire. Sting laid his microphone down next to the barbed wire bat, as a spotlight shined down on both. Mike Tenay and Don West went proceeded to go nuts about the announcement, rounding out another episode of Impact.
