Impact: Foley makes Ultimate Sacrifice
By CHRIS & BRYAN SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

This past Sunday at Lockdown, executive shareholder, Mick Foley captured the TNA Heavyweight Championship from "The Icon" Sting, while Jeff Jarrett led the Frontline to victory over the Main Event Mafia in the Lethal Lockdown match. This week on Impact, the Mafia looks for revenge, as the road to Sacrifice begins.

Highlights from the Lockdown pay-per-view were shown. It should be interesting to see what Bobby Lashley does in TNA.

The Impact opener aired, as Jeff Jarrett made his way into the Impact Zone.

Jeff Jarrett entered the Impact Zone carrying the TNA Heavyweight Championship belt. He then introduced the new TNA Heavyweight Champion, Mick Foley. Foley said his thanks and talked about how his pain at Lockdown was pshyical, while Sting's was emotional. He said that they wouldn't be seeing "The Stinger" in the Impact Zone for awhile. They talked about how Foley came to TNA six months ago and wanted to focus on the young guys, and now he is the TNA Heavyweight Champion. Jarrett announced that at Sacrifice, Foley would be competing in a Four Way Ultimate Sacrifice match, where to get into the match, each competitor has to sacrifice something important to them. The person who gets beat, will have to make their sacrifice to the person that beat them. Foley asked Jarrett who was management and said that Jarrett was jealous of him. Foley then put Jarrett in the Impact main event, as Mike Tenay mentioned that Jarrett suffered a torn hamstring at Lockdown. Foley said that Jarrett would be competing in a "Cactus Jack Smack" match, where he will choose the weapons involved. Foley told Jarrett that his opponent would be Scott Steiner and that he would be commentating from ringside.

Backstage, Lauren spoke to The Beautiful People, who said they were going to throw a party for Angelina Love's TNA Knockouts Championship win at Lockdown.

Don West interviewed Team 3D. Brother Ray thanked Beer Money Inc. for the match at Lockdown. He announced that they wanted to make the tag team scene in TNA even better and that starting tonight, they would be holding the "Team 3D Tag Team Invitational," where the winning team would receieve a trophy, $100,000 and a shot at the TNA Tag Team Championships.

In the Main Event Mafia lockeroom, Jeremy Borash spoke to Kurt Angle, who said that Team Jarrett didn't beat them at Lockdown, they beat themselves. Scott Steiner took the blame and said he shouldn't have trusted Jeff Jarrett. Angle told Borash that he didn't want to be Jarrett later on.

After a commercial break, Jeremy Borash spoke to Jeff Jarrett and let him know that Scott Steiner was upset. Jarrett said he didn't care and said he made a business decision at Lockdown. He said "Screw Scott Steiner, screw the Main Event Mafia and screw Mick Foley." Eric Young walked in and asked what he had to do to get noticed. Jarrett said that due to travel issues, Jethro Holliday didn't have a tag team partner for his Team 3D Tag Team Invitational match, so Young could take the spot.

A video was shown of Mick Foley after winning the TNA Heavyweight Championship. He was bragging to his kid's bus driver about the victory.

Lauren was shown in the Main Event Mafia locker room with Booker T, Kevin Nash, Sharmell and Jenna Morasca. Nash promised to get the TNA Legends Championship belt back from AJ Styles. Sharmell and Morasca argued over staring at Nash.

Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky came out for the Angelina Love celebration. They talked about the TNA Knockouts trading cards, then introduced Love. Mike Tenay mentioned that Rayne is now an official member of the Beautiful People. Love came out and gloated, as Sky and Rayne brought out male dancers. Mick Foley was shown mingling with the fans and signing autographs. He even ran away from one fan.

Match Five - Cactus Jack Smack Match - Jeff Jarrett vs. Scott Steiner

Barbed wire, steel chairs, kendo sticks and even a pogo stick were used in this match. Mick Foley stayed at ringside for the match, joining Mike Tenay and Don West on commentary. It looked like Steiner had the match won, when he locked in the Steiner Recliner on Jeff Jarrett, but Jarrett was able to reach the ropes and recover, before hitting Steiner with a guitar shot and the Stroke for the win.

Winner Via Pinfall - Jeff Jarrett

Kurt Angle hit the ring after the match and hit Jeff Jarrett with an Angle Slam. He and Steiner proceeded to beat on Jarrett, until Mick Foley slid in with a steel chair, forcing the Mafia to retreat. Foley then turned around and hit Jarrett with the chair, as we went to a commercial break.

Back from the commercial break, they recapped what happened with Mick Foley and Jeff Jarrett. AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels were shown in the ring with Jarrett, who grabbed the mic and said that he knew Foley was a whack job six months ago and that now this was personal.
