ECW: Bourne flies again
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on ECW on Sci-Fi: The promos on Raw Monday weren't lying. Finally ... Evan Bourne ... has come back ... to ECW! The high-flying superstar returns for his first match since injuring his ankle late last year, facing Jamie Noble. Will he be able to quickly regain his momentum? Should be a good one!

And we are TAPED! from San Antonio, Texas. Todd Grisham and Matt Striker are our hosts. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Match #1 - Christian (Toronto, Ontario) & Montel Vontavious Porter (Miami, Fla.) vs. Shelton Benjamin (Orangeburg, S.C.) & Mark Henry (Silsbee, Texas)

Henry and Benjamin quickly isolate MVP and work him over. Benjamin does most the work until MVP throws him and gets the tag to Christian.

Christian hits a reverse DDT for two and then slaps Henry on the apron. Christian hits a tornado DDT out of the corner but Henry pulls him off. MVP goes after Henry and Christian and MVP team up to pull Henry out of the ring. Tony Atlas jumps up on the apron and Christian hits him, but Christian turns around and walks right into Paydirt.

Winners via pinfall: Shelton Benjamin & Mark Henry

Backstage, Finlay is looking for Hornswaggle. He runs into DJ Gabriel and Alicia Fox who are dancing. They don't know where he is.

Match #2 - Jamie Noble (Hanover, W.V.) vs. Evan Bourne (St. Louis, MO)

Bourne gets a huge pop from the crowd and an "Air Bourne" chant. They go to work in a fast paced match. Noble throws Bourne into the second turnbuckle and hits him with a huge clothesline. Bourne works out of a chinlock with some kicks.

Bourne hits an impressive standing moonsault for two. Bourne drills Noble with a right high kick, setting him up for the shooting star press and that'll do it.

Winner via pinfall: Evan Bourne

It's great to have him back and the eventual Bourne-Jack Swagger feud will be amazing.

Finlay has found Hornswaggle and he is throwing stuff on Katie Lea. He rescues him.

We go to the ring and Tony Chimel introduces our ECW Champion, the "All-American American" Jack Swagger. He's got a mic.

Swagger says he's not competing tonight, but he just wanted to give the crowd the pleasure of laying their eyes on him. And that was about it. Play his music.

Theodore Long and Tiffany are backstage and Tiffany suggests a "Divas Night" for ECW next week in anticipation of the 25-woman battle royal. He likes it.

Paul and Katie Lea Burchill burst in, angry about the treatment Katie Lea got. Long suggests he head to the ring and Finlay won't be far behind.

Match #3 - Finlay (Belfast, Northern Ireland) vs. Paul Burchill (Chelsea, England)

Hmmm, I wonder who'll win this one. The guy who's in Money in the Bank or the guy who'll be lucky to get in the pre-show battle royal.

Finlay dumps Burchill over the top rope and goes to throw him back in but Burchill drives him into the apron. Back in the ring, Burchill works a Level 3 Randy Orton Chinlock.

Finlay gets out, though and powers up and hits the Celtic Cross. Just like that it's over.

Winner via pinfall: Finlay

Now it's time for our main event segment -- The Dirt Sheet -- starring World Tag Team Champions John Morrison and The Miz. They are joined by the Bella Twins.

Miz refers to them as Twin A and Twin B. They look to the Tron for a look at their win over Carlito and Primo on Friday Night Smackdown. They then bring out their guests -- the Colons.

Of course, not really, they just put on butt masks. Miz raps and then Carlito and Primo make their way out. Primo calls for the palm trees and the crew starts setting up Carlito's Cabana.

Carlito says they look better with the masks on. Primo says they have a special challenge for them. At WrestleMania, how about they have a match to create the Unified WWE Tag Team Champions. After a brief moment, Miz tells them it's on. Miz and Morrison tells them to be jealous and then Carlito goes to spit apple, they duck and it hits Brie Bella. Her sister laughs at her and gets shoved. They then have a catfight. They are broken up and split up -- with Brie staying with the Colons.
