Impact: Jarrett makes an executive decision
By CHRIS & BRYAN SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

Destination X is right around the corner and things between Kurt Angle and Sting are continuing to heat up. On tonight's episode of Impact, the two will bring representatives to the ring, whom they will manage in a one-on-one contest. Also in action, Beer Money Inc. team up with Matt Morgan to take on Abyss and Team 3D, while Taylor Wilde goes up against Madison Rayne.

The show began with a recap of what's happened between Kurt Angle and Sting, as well as Jeff Jarrett's tossing of Angle from the Impact Zone last week.

Kurt Angle was shown pacing in the Main Event Mafia locker room, as Mike Tenay promised we would get his reaction to the events that took place last week, later on.

Mike Tenay, without Don West, hyped the card for Impact, as Kurt Angle made his way to the ring. Angle called out Jeff Jarrett, who began making his way to the ring, only to be stopped by Mick Foley and BG James. James and Foley convinced Jarrett to go back to the hotel. James and Jarrett left, as Foley grabbed a mic and got into the ring with Angle. Foley talked about how crazy Angle has become and said that Sting was his only hope. Foley also said that Sting would walk away from Destination X the TNA Heavyweight Champion and that Angle's reign of terror would be over. Foley went on to say that since Jarrett couldn't take on Angle right now, he'd be more than happy to go at it with him. Foley dared Angle to hit him and said he would Cactus Jack his rear end. Angle declined the dare and left the ring as Foley stood tall.

Jeremy Borash stood by with Jim Cornette in his office. Sting walked in and Cornette told him that management was getting mad at him because of Angle and him taking up most of the Impact program. Cornette told Sting to pick a guy to manage in the main event, and that his choice would go up against Kurt Angle's choice in a singles match. He said that Angle and Sting would be at ringside, but the spotlight would be on someone else. Sting agreed and went off on his search, while Borash questioned Cornette's method. Cornette said that controversy was good for business and that business was about to pick up.

Back from a commercial break, TNA announced that they broke their record for viewers again last week.

Lauren then spoke to Mick Foley and former Survivor winner, Jenna Morasca. Morasca talked about investing her winnings from the show and making more money and said that with all due respect, her favorite TNA star was Kevin Nash. Foley said that the two had a business meeting to get to, as Matt Morgan walked in. Morgan has his way with Lauren and went to kiss her, but she slapped him and ran away. Morgan looked on and laughed.

Match One - Sheik Abdul Bashir vs. Rhino

Don West finally showed up during this match, with Mike Tenay hinting that he was drunk. West was absolutely hysterical. Back and forth match, that saw Rhino get the win with a school boy roll-up.

Winner Via Pinfall - Rhino

After the match, Sheik Abdul Bashir hit Rhino with a low blow and steel chair shot. He then laid his headdress over Rhino and kneeled next to him.

Backstage, Jeremy Borash caught up with The Beautiful People, Cute Kip and Madison Rayne. Velvet Sky said that tonight was going to be Rayne's initiation into Mi Pi Sexy. They went on to say that if TNA Knockout referee Traci Brooks got involved, they would take care of her just like Taylor Wilde, Roxxi and The Governor.

In the Main Event Mafia locker room, Kurt Angle asked Scott Steiner and Kevin Nash if either of them would represent him later. Steiner said he and Booker already had a match, and Nash showed that he is still recovering from his elbow problems. Angle then sent the Mafia security out to find him a representative.

A package was shown highlighting the feud between AJ Styles and Booker T.

In Jim Cornette's office, Booker T stopped by to pick up his TNA Legends Championship belt. Cornette made him sign an agreement which stated that the cops would be left out of his situation with AJ Styles and that no charges would be pressed. Booker agreed and said he would take care of Styles himself. Cornette offered him a contract for a match at Destination X, but Booker refused, saying he needed his Queen Sharmell and a lawyer present. Cornette talked Booker into signing the contract by saying that Booker was all talk. Booker promised to beat on Styles at Destination X.

Mike Tenay and Don West ran down the card for Destination X.

In the backstage area, Sting spoke to Eric Young who wanted to be Sting's representative. Sting talked about how he knows Young is respectful and said that he couldn't let him go out there with Kurt Angle around in good conscience. Young said that he wanted to go out there and demanded that Sting give him the opportunity, which Sting did.

A package was shown on Samoa Joe, saying that the Nation of Violence was coming at Destination X.

Lauren spoke to Lethal Consequences, who announced that their tag team partners for later on against Booker T, Scott Steiner in the eight man tag team match, would be LAX. LAX walked in and promised to take care of business later on.

A Cross the Line package was shown.

Back from another commercial break, Kurt Angle and his security guards were shown with Kiyoshi and Team No Limits. Angle asked Kiyoshi to be his representative, but Kiyoshi couldn't understand him, so Angle put the boots to him. Team No Limits and the security guards stepped in and kept them apart, while Angle complained.

Match Two - Six Man Tag Team Elimination Match - Matt Morgan and Beer Money Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode) w/ Jackie Moore vs. Abyss and Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon)

Team 3D had things going their way, until referee Mark "Slick" Johnson was distracted long enough for Jackie Moore to hit a low blow on Brother Devon, which led to the Last Call Superkick from James Storm for a three count.

Elimination One Via Pinfall - Brother Devon

Beer Money Inc. continued their attack, until James Storm was disqualified for spitting beer at Brother Ray.

Elimination Two Via Disqualification - James Storm

Brother Ray then hit the sit out Bubba Bomb on Robert Roode for the pinfall elimination.

Elimination Three Via Pinfall - Robert Roode

Matt Morgan came in and hit Brother Ray with a huge chokeslam to eliminate him from the match.

Elimination Four Via Pinfall - Brother Ray

Morgan introduced the bag of thumbtacks into the match, but got them knocked out by Abyss. Abyss grabbed the bag and was going to use them, when Lauren ran out and told him to put them down. This distracted Abyss long enough for Morgan to recover and hit a running bicycle kick on him for the win.

Elimination Five Via Pinfall - Abyss

Winners Via Pinfall - Matt Morgan and Beer Money Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode) - Sole Survivor - Matt Morgan

After the match, Matt Morgan threw referee Mark "Slick" Johnson out of the ring and poured the thumbtacks onto the canvas. Lauren came in to check on Abyss, but was grabbed by Morgan. Abyss made the save and knocked Morgan to the floor. As Morgan was leaving, Abyss told him that he accepted his challenge for a 10,000 Thumbtacks match at Destination X.

Mike Tenay and Don West talked about what just happened with Abyss, Matt Morgan and Lauren. West talked about how stupid Lauren was, which upset Tenay, who told him to leave. West obliged and said he was going to the hotel bar. Tenay told him he probably wouldn't need directions.

In the backstage area, Abyss was with Lauren. Abyss screamed at Matt Morgan for what he did to Lauren. Lauren tried to calm him down, but Abyss said he would take care of him at Destination X.

Match Three - Madison Rayne w/ The Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky) and Cute Kip vs. Taylor Wilde w/ Roxxi and The Governor - GUEST REFEREE - Traci Brooks

Mick Foley jumped on board for commentary with Mike Tenay. Back and forth match. Taylor Wilde got the win after she attempted a sunset flip. Madison Rayne tried to hold onto Traci Brooks to stay on her feet, but got her hands knocked away twice. Rayne then shoved Brooks, who shoved her back into the pinfall.

Winner Via Pinfall - Taylor Wilde

After the match, the Knockouts got into a brawl, which led to Cute Kip spraying Roxxi and The Governor with perfume. This allowed the Beautiful People to get the advantage and stand tall.

Next up was Trash Talkin' with ODB. Jeremy Borash stood by and talked about the finals of the One Night with ODB contest taking place at Destination X. ODB pretty much molested Borash and got on top of him, claiming that she was horny.

The Main Event Mafia came down to ringside, with Booker T getting in Mick Foley's face. Security came in to pull them apart, as Scott Steiner came from behind and attacked Foley with his lead pipe. The Mafia finally left, while Foley was treated by EMTs, as the pipe shot busted him open on the top of his head. The Mafia looked happy with what they accomplished, as Tenay looked on shocked.

Back from a commercial break, footage was shown of Mick Foley refusing to go into the ambulance, saying that he had somewhere else he needed to be. BG James tried to reason with him, but Foley wouldn't listen. James wound up telling Jeff Jarrett what was happening, as Foley barged back into the Impact Zone.

A Rough Cuts segment was shown on The Ultimate X match.

Match Four - Eight Man Tag Team Match - Lethal Consequences (Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed) and LAX (Homicide and Hernandez) vs. Booker T, Scott Steiner and The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin)

This was a good match. The match eventually broke down into a brawl, with all eight men going at it. Hernandez was able to get a hold of Chris Sabin and launch him with a Border Toss for the pinfall victory.

Winners Via Pinfall - Lethal Consequences (Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed) and LAX (Homicide and Hernandez)

Jeremy Borash and BG James were in the backstage area with Mick Foley and they both agreed that nothing good would come out of Foley being in this kind of mood. Foley agreed with them and said that he is planning on some bad things happening to the Main Event Mafia. He said he couldn't go to the hospital because he wanted to be at ringside for the main event. He said Angle probably put the hit on him, but that he was going to make a difference.

Backstage, Kurt Angle and his security guards tried to convince Brutus Magnus to be his representative, but Magnus refused after what happened with Jeff Jarrett last week. Angle went into a frenzy and chose one of his security guards, Rocco, to compete in the match.

Match Five - Rocco w/ Kurt Angle and Sal vs. Eric Young w/ Sting

As the intros are taking place, Mick Foley is shown leaving his office and heading into the Impact Zone. Rocco used his size and power on Eric Young, who used his quickness to get out of the way of Rocco's attack. Young was able to hit the Kryptonite Krunch for the victory.

Winner Via Pinfall - Eric Young

After the match, Kurt Angle tried to attack Eric Young, but Sting fought him off. Sal and Rocco tried to help Angle, but also got knocked around. The numbers game eventually caught up to Sting, until Mick Foley ran down and made the save. Scott Steiner and Kevin Nash came out and next and put the Main Event Mafia in control, until Jeff Jarrett ran out with a steel chair and cleaned house on the Mafia security. Jarrett went to hit Steiner and Nash with the chair, but Sting protected them. Jarrett then got on the mic and said that he was going to make sure that Sting and Angle was one-on-one at Destination X, because he was going to be the Guest Referee and Foley was going to be the Guest Enforcer. Angle went nuts on the outside to round out another edition of Impact.
