ECW: Charisma in the Bank?
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on ECW on Sci-Fi: One of the final spots in the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania 25 is up for grabs as members of all three brands converge on the Land of Extreme for a battle royal to earn a spot in the match. Should be a good one!

And we are TAPED! from Jacksonville, Fla. Todd Grisham and Matt Striker are our hosts. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Match #1 - The Miz (Cleveland, Ohio) vs. Primo (San Juan, Puerto Rico)

John Morrison and Carlito join Grisham and Striker on commentary. I'm sure this won't turn into a trainwreck per usual.

The match gets off to a real hot start with Primo getting the better of it. But The Miz gets the upper hand by knocking Primo off the apron and into the guard rail.

We're back and Miz has Primo in a chinlock but Primo gets out and lands a flying crossbody for two. They start going off the ropes and Miz ducks a crossbody and Primo goes flying out of the ring. The Miz throws him back in the ring and goes to work on Primo's back.

Primo gets up but Miz drives him into the corner. Miz puts him backward on the top turnbuckle and beats on him some more. He goes to suplex him off but Primo elbows him and rolls out.

They go toe-to-toe and Primo gets the better of it again. He hits a springboard dropkick for two. They go into a sequences of quick roll-up attempts but neither prevails. Primo goes for a crossbody but Miz counters into a bodyslam for two.

Miz goes for the running clothesline but gets hung up on the second rope, allowing Primo an opening to hit the Backstabber for the win.

Winner via pinfall: Primo

That was a pretty solid and fun match.

Match #2 - Tyson Kidd (Calgary, Alberta) vs. DJ Gabriel (Rockingham, England)

Kidd lands a high kick Matt Hamill would be proud of that drops Gabriel on the outside. He continues with some vicious kicks, including one to the chest. Kidd locks in a neat-looking modified camel clutch, but Gabriel gets out.

Gabriel goes to suplex Kidd but he wiggles his way into Gabriel dropping him on the apron. Kidd pulls Gabriel off the ropes and hits the springboard elbow for the win.

Winner via pinfall: Tyson Kidd

Evan Bourne returns next week!!!

Match #3 - Tri-Brand Money in the Bank Qualifying Battle Royal - Cryme Tyme (Brooklyn, N.Y.) vs. Vladimir Kozlov (Moscow, Russia) vs. Christian (Toronto, Ontario) vs. William Regal (Blackpool, England) vs. The Great Khali (India) vs. R-Truth (Charlotte, N.C.) vs. Goldust (Hollywood, Calif.) vs. Chavo Guerrero (El Paso, Texas) vs. Kung Fu Naki (Japan) vs. Tommy Dreamer (Yonkers, N.Y.) vs. Paul Burchill (Chelsea, England) vs. Jimmy Wang Yang (Austell, Ga.) vs. Dolph Ziggler (Hollywood, Calif.) vs. Ricky Ortiz (Paradise Valley, Ariz.) vs. Charlie Haas (Dallas, Texas)

I think I got everyone.

And Khali dispatches of Ortiz extremely quickly. Kozlov does the same with Funaki and Khali says goodbye to Kozlov and then everyone gangs up on Khali to dispatch him.

Ziggler goes on a little run and then Shad boots him right out of it. Later, JTG double-crosses his partner, throwing Shad over the top rope after the two eliminated Burchill.

During the break, R-Truth eliminated JTG almost immediately after JTG dispatched of his partner.

In the ring, we have Regal, Dreamer, Guerrero, R-Truth and Christian left.

Dreamer lifts Regal over the top and he almost hits but doesn't. Regal then pulls Dreamer over.

R-Truth and Christian start to go at it. Truth goes for an axe kick and misses and gets thrown out by Chavo. Guerrero goes to throw Christian out, but Christian hangs on by a thread. Christian gets out and goes for the Killswitch on Guerrero but Regal breaks it up.

Regal goes to throw Christian out but he lands on the apron. Regal charges at Christian but he backdrops him out.

Guerrero charges at Christian but Christian slides in under the bottom rope. Guerrero puts the boots to him and then hits the Three Amigos. He goes to the top for a Frog Splash but Christian moves and Chavo rolls through the splash. Christian goes for the Killswitch but it's reversed. Christian then goes to throw Chavo out but he hangs on. They then start the 2000 Royal Rumble finish, but it doesn't end that way.

Christian is sitting on the middle rope with his back to the apron and Chavo is standing on the apron. With Chavo punching him, Christian falls back and kicks Guerrero off the apron.

Winner: Christian
