Legendary lesson for lippy Jericho?
By TIM BAINES - Ottawa Sun

Which WWE legend is going to step up to the plate?

Which former star will try to put Chris Jericho, a legend of our times, in his place?

Ric Flair, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Ricky Steamboat and Superfly Jimmy Snuka all confronted the brash Jericho.

But there's got to be more. There's got to be a Wrestlemania match in the making.

Maybe it was supposed to be Mickey Rourke, actor and star of the highly acclaimed The Wrestler. WWE has no problem throwing celebrity names into the thick of things in its version of the Super Bowl.

In a perfect world, it would be Stone Cold Steve Austin, who will be inducted into WWE's Hall of Fame on Wrestlemania weekend. The Texas Rattlesnake is gold at the box- office and I'd be shocked if he at least didn't poke his nose into one of Jericho's rants real soon. But could he, or does he want to, do one last match?

Hulk Hogan has been dropping hints that he will be involved in Wrestlemania. Maybe a blocked punch, some finger-wagging and a leg drop is just what Jericho needs to stop his gums from flapping.

Terry Funk is another guy heading into the Hall of Fame and you can bet he'd give Jericho the whipping of his life. Or, could Jericho get his challenge from a guy who has made his recent living in the broadcast booth, Jerry "The King" Lawler?

AROUND THE RING

WWE released The Boogeyman (Marty Wright) again ... Legendary Maritimer Yvon Cormier, who wrestled as The Beast, died at the age of 70 in a Moncton hospital earlier this week. Three of his brothers -- Leonce (Leo Burke), Jean-Louis (Rudy Kay) and Romeo (Bobby Kay) -- were also wrestlers.
