Ring of Honor signs deal with HDNET
By JASON CLEVETT - SLAM! Wrestling

Fans of Ring of Honor will have a new way to watch their favorite promotion soon. The company announced today a long term deal with the HDNET FIGHTS network.

While Ring of Honor had a local TV deal in the Northeast in its early years, this will be the first time ROH will be on national television.

“’Ring of Honor’ is an exciting addition to our programming lineup at HDNet,” said Mark Cuban, chairman and co-founder of HDNet. “ROH has developed a cult following thanks to its special brand of professional wrestling and we are pleased to present it for the first time to a mass television audience.”

“’Ring of Honor’ is proud and excited to enter a partnership with HDNet,” said Cary Silkin, president of Ring of Honor. “Our in-ring action is the perfect compliment to HDNet's respected programming and growing stature in the broadcast industry. It's a match most definitely made for a Main Event."

The TV deal adds to the promotions bi-montly pay per view events and capitalizes on their exposure in the film "The Wrestler." The exact start date for the series has not yet been announced.
