Impact: Petey's return costs Steiner
By CHRIS & BRYAN SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

TNA is back in sunny Orlando, FL, for another episode of Impact and the fallout from Genesis. On tap tonight, Frontline member AJ Styles takes on Main Event Mafia member Scott Steiner in the main event, with Mick Foley as the guest enforcer. Plus, the TNA Heavyweight Championship is on the line and the Knockouts do battle in tag action.

The show began with a recap of Genesis, followed by the Impact intro and the usual hype from Mike Tenay and Don West. It's announced that the main event will feature AJ Styles vs. Kurt Angle with Mick Foley as the guest enforcer.

The Main Event Mafia made their way into the Impact Zone. Kurt Angle talked about how the Mafia has done exactly what they said they would do. He played a package that featured their greatest hits, including their beatdowns on Christian Cage, Samoa Joe and BG James. They talked about Kevin Nash's injury and Mick Foley's win at Genesis, but Angle promised that he will take care of Styles and Foley later on. That brought out Hernandez, who was with referee Shane Sewell. Hernandez cashed in his Feast or Fired briefcase for a TNA Heavyweight Championship title shot and the match was on.

Match One - TNA Heavyweight Championship Match - Hernandez vs. Sting (C)

This was a back and forth match, that saw Hernandez kick out of the Scorpion Deathdrop. Hernandez got Sting up for the Border Toss, but Booker T interfered, causing the disqualification.

Winner Via DQ - Hernandez - STILL TNA Heavyweight Champion - Sting

After the match, the Main Event Mafia beat on Hernandez. Booker T tried to use his TNA Legends Championship belt, but that was intercepted by Shane Sewell, who wound up sending Booker T to the floor. AJ Styles tried to save LAX, but was also beaten down. Brother Ray made his return alongside Brother Devon and Team 3D cleaned house, with Ray powerbombing Kurt Angle through a table. The referees came out and gained control of the situation as the Frontline stood tall.

Back from a commercial break, AJ Styles and Team 3D were still in the ring. Brother Devon said that he and Brother Ray have done a lot as a tag team, but now they want to prove themselves individually. Brother Devon challenged Kurt Angle to a match at Against All Odds. Brother Ray then got on the mic and said that when he got beaten up, Sting just stood by and watched, so at Against All Odds, he wanted Sting in a match for the TNA Heavyweight Championship.

Lauren spoke to The Beautiful People and Cute Kip. The Beautiful People talked about how excited they were to be a part of "Sarah Palin's" cabinet. Cute Kip told them that he was sick of listening to them. They told Kip he was just jealous. Kip then walked off, leaving them behind.

Mike Tenay and Don West showed a package and talked about the Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Jarrett match from Genesis. In the back, Kurt Angle was told by the TNA doctor that he would not be cleared to compete later on Impact. Scott Steiner said he would take Angle's place, but Angle didn't want to hear and told the Main Event Mafia to leave.

A package was shown highlighting whats been going on with The Beautiful People and "Sarah Palin." This brought out Palin and The Beautiful People. Palin talked about all the stuff The Beautiful People have done to be a part of her cabinet and she has them take care of the necessary paperwork to complete the process. Roxxi and Taylor Wilde came out to rag on the Beautiful People and talk about how fun it was embarrassing them. They call out the Palin impersonator and drop a whole bunch of mud on the Beautiful People. The Palin impersonator then celebrated with Roxxi and Wilde on the ramp.

Back from the commercial break, replays were shown for what just happened to the Beautiful People. Lauren spoke to The Kong-Tourage in the back, who promised victory in the TNA Knockouts street fight.

A Rough Cuts segement was shown on Sojournor Bolt.

Match Two - TNA Knockouts Six Woman Tag Team Street Fight - The Kong-Tourage (Sojournor Bolt, Rhaka Kahn and Riesha Saeed) vs. Roxxi, ODB and Taylor Wilde

This was pretty much an all out brawl with Roxxi hitting the Voodoo Drop on Rhaka Kahn to pick up the victory for her team.

Winners Via Pinfall - Roxxi, ODB and Taylor Wilde

Booker T was shown talking to Kurt Angle, telling him to let the Main Event Mafia handle things. Booker talked about Team 3D, AJ Styles and Mick Foley and said that he would take care of them for him. Angle asked for some time to think about it.

Match Three - TNA Tag Team Championship Number One Contenders' Match - Abyss and Matt Morgan vs. Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed

This was a good match, that saw Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed continue to work well as a tag team. More miscommunications for the team of Abyss and Matt Morgan, as Morgan hit Creed with a fallaway slam, only to have Abyss accidentally powerbomb Lethal on top of him. Creed then dropkicked Abyss out of the ring, while Lethal was still on top of Morgan, giving them the pinfall victory.

Winners Via Pinfall and NEW Number One Contenders to the TNA Tag Team Championships - Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed

After the match, Abyss and Matt Morgan brawled, with security and referees coming out to break them up.

In the back, Jim Cornette was shown telling Kurt Angle that he would not be competing by doctor's orders. Scott Steiner, Booker T and Sharmell were also there and played "Eenie Meenie Miney Mo" to decide who would face AJ Styles. Cornette stepped in and said that Steiner would be taking the spot and told Booker and the rest of the Mafia not to get involved.

A package was shown for Brutus Magnus.

Jeremy Borash spoke to Mick Foley who said that this feud wasn't a game. He dared a member of the Main Event Mafia to get involved in the main event so he could take care of them.

Match Four - Scott Steiner vs. AJ Styles - Guest Enforcer - Mick Foley

Back and forth match. Scott Steiner brought a chair into play, but it backfired on him. Referee Earl Hebner got in the way and got sandwiched on an AJ Styles splash to Steiner. This allowed Steiner to get his lead pipe and crack Styles, as well as Mick Foley. Hebner went to count Styles down, but he kicked out at two. Steiner locked in the Steiner Recliner, as Mick Foley got up and distracted Hebner. Petey Williams made his return and hit Steiner with a big missile dropkick, followed by a Pele Kick from Styles for the win.

Winner Via Pinfall - AJ Styles

After the match, Mick Foley, AJ Styles and Petey Williams stood tall as Scott Steiner looked shocked on the ramp.

Chris and Bryan Sokol are from Long Island, NY and have been getting their fair share of snow.
