CHRIS SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling
TNA's Final Resolution 2008 is just around the corner and the feud between the Main Event Mafia and the Frontline is just heating up. On this edition of Impact, Rhino does battle with Sting, AJ Styles teams with Christy Hemme to take on Scott Steiner and Awesome Kong, while Booker T squares off with Samoa Joe. All this and more on Impact!
The show began with the Frontline meeting in the locker room area. Team 3D promised to stand by their side and help them battle against the Main Event Mafia. They said that the new revolution begins on Impact.
The Main Event Mafia entered the Impact Zone and cut a promo about Team 3D, saying that they just made a mistake and that they were being offered another chance to join the Mafia. Kevin Nash gave them 60 seconds to respond to the offer. Team 3D came out and denied entrance to the Mafia, saying that they were with the Frontline because they are right in their efforts. 3D called out the Frontline, as Kurt Angle mocked them. Rhino went off on Angle and said that he was a Gore away from unemployment. Rhino also said that later on, he would defeat Sting and make an example out of him. 3D told the Mafia that whoopings were headed their way.
Jeremy Borash and Lauren were backstage hyping the TNA Mobile Service. Borash also hyped that Kurt Angle will have back-up at Final Resolution. Cute Kip and The Beautiful People walked in and hyped Sarah Palin's appearance on Impact. The Beautiful People said they hoped that her husband, Todd would come as well since he's hot, but before they met with her, they had something they needed to take care of.
The Top Five Kurt Angle Moments countdown was on next. #5 was Angle winning all the TNA Championships at Hard Justice 2007.
Jeremy Borash spoke to Booker T and Sharmell in their locker room. Borash asked about their alliance with The Beautiful People. Sharmell went on a rant about ODB smelling. Booker T said that he had a match coming up against Samoa Joe for the TNA Legends Championship. Booker said it was going to be a Street Fight and that he was going to beat Joe until he quit.
Match One - TNA Legends Championship Street Fight - Booker T w/ Sharmell (C) vs. Samoa Joe
This was pretty much a brawl. Booker T and Samoa Joe went back and forth, until Joe locked in the rear naked choke, while Sharmell was distracting the referee. Booker tapped, but the ref's back was turned. This allowed The Beautiful People to run out and spray Joe in the face with perfume, giving Booker a chance to gather his bearings and hit the Axe Kick for the victory.
Winner Via Pinfall and STILL TNA Legends Champion - Booker T
In the Main Event Mafia locker room, Scott Steiner said that Sting would retain the TNA Heavyweight Championship. He said that Team 3D wasn't on their level and that the Mafia will continue to be dominant.
The Top Five Kurt Angle Moments countdown continued, with #4, which was Angle vs. Nagata for the IWGP Championship.
Lauren caught up with Samoa Joe who said he got screwed. Team 3D walked in and asked Joe what he was going to do about it. 3D said that they may have lost that battle, but this is about the whole war. They said the Frontline needs to come together and take out the Main Event Mafia.
Next up was ODB's Angle with Roxxi and Taylor Wilde. ODB said that she needed back-up for her match with Sharmell at Final Resolution, since The Beautiful People were in Sharmell's corner. Roxxi and Wilde promised to be her back-up.
Beer Money Inc. was shown looking for Abyss. When they found him, Abyss grabbed James Storm, but let go of him, when they offered peace. They said that Matt Morgan was at the gym and they just wanted to drink. Abyss agreed and drank with Beer Money Inc.
The Top Five Kurt Angle Moments countdown kept going, with #3 being the announcement of Angle joining TNA.
The Sarah Palin look-a-like arrived, which turned out to be Daffney. The Beautiful People grabbed her and went to give her a tour.
A package was shown for the Christy Hemme vs. Awesome Kong match at Final Resolution. Clips were shown of her training with AJ Styles.
Match Two - AJ Styles and Christy Hemme vs. Scott Steiner and Awesome Kong
AJ Styles and Christy Hemme worked well as a team. Awesome Kong tried to use her power against Hemme, but Hemme's quickness helped her slip out of a Kong Bomb attempt. The match broke down, with Styles jumping in and assisting Hemme with a Tornado DDT on Kong for the win.
Winners Via Pinfall - AJ Styles and Christy Hemme
Jeremy Borash was with Kurt Angle who was complaining about Mick Foley screwing him at Bound for Glory. Foley said that Angle started it and Foley was just defending himself. Foley told Angle that he was going to do his job at Final Resolution. Angle warned him that he was bringing back-up.
On the Top Five Kurt Angle Moments Countdown, #2 was Angle winning the King of the Mountain match to become the first ever TNA Heavyweight Champion.
Backstage, Abyss was still getting drunk with Beer Money Inc. Jackie Moore gave Abyss a kiss and Abyss asked if he was still a virgin. He told Lauren that that the kiss meant nothing. Funny stuff.
Match Three - Six Man Tag Team Match - Consequences Creed, Jay Lethal and Eric Young vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir, Jimmy Rave and Sonjay Dutt w/ So Cal Val
Shane Sewell was the referee, so Sheik Abdul Bashir refused to participate in the match, saying that he and Eric Young were cheaters. Bashir instead joined the commentary team. Consequences Creed, Jay Lethal and Eric Young were given the advantage and got the win, following a TKO from Creed to Jimmy Rave.

Jeremy Borash spoke to Sting, who said that the AJ Styles situation about his father is still something to look into. He went on to say that later on, he would do what he had to do and defeat Rhino.
A package was shown for the Main Event Mafia.
Backstage, The Beautiful People and Cute Kip continued to show the Sarah Palin impostor around. They ran into Booker T and Sharmell. Palin called him "Booker the T." Booker took it as a joke and told Cute Kip to remove the bimbos and the yak.
They showed more of the Rough Cuts segment on LAX.
Abyss was still drinking with Beer Money Inc, when Matt Morgan called. Abyss went to invite Morgan to the party, but they were all out of alcohol. Abyss then hit himself in the head with a beer bottle.
A package was shown on the Main Event Mafia's beatdowns of Christian Cage and Rhino, as well as Kurt Angle's desire to go after Jeff Jarrett.
The Top Five Kurt Angle Moments Countdown was capped off with #1 being the formation of the Main Event Mafia.
Kurt Angle entered the Impact Zone and called out Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett came to the ramp and the two argued. Angle said that he was screwed at Bound for Glory, but said that after he beat Rhino at Final Resolution and took out Mick Foley, he would roll into Genesis and destroy Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett let him know that he'd have to do a whole lot to carry out his plan of attack and said that he wasn't going down without a fight.
In the backstage area, Rhino said that he heard what Jeff Jarrett just said and said that Kurt Angle was out of control. As for Sting, Rhino said he wasn't sure what he was capable of.
A Suicide promo was shown.

Match Four - Non-Title Match - Rhino vs. Sting
This was a good match. AJ Styles and Kurt Angle both came out. While the referee was distracted, Angle hit the ring, only to get Gored. Sting then hit a clothesline on Rhino, followed by the Scorpion Deathlock. Sting got distracted by Styles, leading to Rhino getting up and hitting the Gore for the pinfall.
Winner Via Pinfall - Rhino
The Frontline came out and celebrated with Rhino, while a package was shown to hype Final Resolution.
