Impact: Rhino rallies the TNA troops
By CHRIS SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

Heading into Final Resolution, the Main Event Mafia is still on a roll and dominating TNA. On this edition of Impact, Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash team up to take on Matt Morgan and Abyss. Booker T will defend his TNA Legends Championship against Eric Young and The Motor City Machine Guns will do battle with AJ Styles and Samoa Joe.

Earlier in the day, Jeremy Borash caught up with the Main Event Mafia, who said that they were going to give Christian Cage a proper burial on Impact.

The Impact intro played, followed by the usual Mike Tenay and Don West hype.

The Main Event Mafia entered the Impact Zone with a casket and picture of Christian Cage getting beaten up on last week's Impact. Kurt Angle said that Cage failed to make a commitment to the Mafia and to TNA and they were forced to get rid of him. He then talked about how he wanted Jeff Jarrett at Final Resolution and offered the microphone to any TNA star in the back. Rhino came out and got into a verbal exchange with the Main Event Mafia, particularly Kevin Nash and Booker T. Booker dared Rhino to charge the ring, which he did, leading to a five on one beatdown. Booker hit Rhino with the TNA Legends Championship belt, busting him open, before placing him in the casket in the center of the ring.

Backstage, Jeremy Borash was standing by with Jeff Jarrett and Mick Foley. Jarrett told Foley that he was going to take back his house from the Main Event Mafia.

Also in the backstage area, AJ Styles was shown rounding up the TNA troops. The Motor City Machine Guns continued to brush Styles off. Mick Foley took exception to this and made a match between The Motor City Machine Guns and AJ Styles and Samoa Joe for later on Impact.

Match One - "The Guru" Sonjay Dutt and Tanahashi w/ So Cal Val vs. Consequences Creed and "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal

So Cal Val tried to get involved, but that didn't help the team of Sonjay Dutt and Tanahashi, as Dutt's inverted DDT was countered into a TKO, giving Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed the victory.

Winners Via Pinfall - Consequences Creed and "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal

Lauren spoke to The Beautiful People and Cute Kip, who said that Christy Hemme was going to get beat up later on Impact.

A Suicide promo was shown.

A package was shown to hype the "Feast or Fired" match at Final Resolution.

Backstage, Jim Cornette yelled at referee Shane Sewell for his involvement in the TNA X Division Championship match last week between Sheik Abdul Bashir and Eric Young. Cornette reversed his decision and gave Bashir the belt back. He then put Sewell on probation and gave Eric Young a match with Booker T for the TNA Legends Championship.

Match Two - The Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky) w/ Cute Kip vs. Christy Hemme and Sojournor Bolt

Christy Hemme had things well in control for her team, until Cute Kip got involved, leading to her smacking him. This allowed Angelina Love to gather her bearings and hit the Downward Spiral for the win.

Winners Via Pinfall - The Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky)

A Rough Cuts segement was shown with Homicide.

ODB did her own talk show with Sharmell. She and Sharmell got into a debate over the Main Event Mafia situation, which led to ODB challenging Sharmell to a match at Final Resolution.

Jeremy Borash spoke to the Main Event Mafia, with Kurt Angle saying that Matt Morgan is in the wrong place at the wrong time. He then told Foley that he can have a double main event at Final Resolution. One half will be Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett, while the other half can be the winner of the AJ Styles/Samoa Joe vs. Motor City Machine Guns match, plus two mystery partners vs. the rest of the Mafia.

Mike Tenay and Don West announce that Petey Williams has been sidelined indefinitely.

Match Three - The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) vs. AJ Styles and Samoa Joe

Good back and forth match, that saw AJ Styles and Samoa Joe win after Styles hit the Styles Clash on Alex Shelley. After the match, the Main Event Mafia laid out Styles and Joe. Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed came out and tried to help them, but also got beaten on.

Winners Via Pinfall - AJ Styles and Samoa Joe

In Tracy Brooks' office, Riesha Saeed demanded a new opponent for Awesome Kong. Brooks told her that she didn't have another opponent, so Saeed promised a feeding frenzy for Kong.

Backstage, Rhino laced into the Motor City Machine Guns and gave a good speech to the TNA locker room about taking on the Main Event Mafia.

Match Four - TNA Legends Championship Match - Booker T w/ Sharmell (C) vs. Eric Young

Eric Young got in some good offense and nearly topped the TNA Legends Champion, but Sharmell got involved and tripped up Young, allowing Booker T to hit the Axe Kick and get the win. After the match, ODB came out and checked on Young.

Winner and STILL TNA Legends Champion - Booker T

Backstage, Mick Foley told Jeff Jarrett that Kurt Angle would not be happy with his Final Resolution decision.

Jeremy Borash spoke to Team 3D who said that Beer Money Inc. better be prepared for them.

Backstage, Awesome Kong laid out NASCAR driver Hermie Sadler.

Match Five - Kevin Nash and Kurt Angle vs. Matt Morgan and Abyss

This was a solid main event. The match went back and forth, until Beer Money Inc. ran out. James Storm connected with a bottle shot to the head of Abyss, which allowed Kevin Nash to hit a big boot and pick up the victory.

Winners Via Pinfall - Kevin Nash and Kurt Angle

Mick Foley entered the Impact Zone to make some big announcements for Final Resolution. Foley announced the first main event as an Eight Man Tag Team match, pitting Sting, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner and Booker T against AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and two mystery partners. If the Main Event Mafia wins, Sting retains the TNA Heavyweight Championship, but if the TNA Originals win, AJ Styles becomes the TNA Heavyweight Champion. He also announced Kurt Angle vs. Rhino. Angle came out and complained, slapping Foley. Jeff Jarrett came out and added a stipulation to the match, saying that if Angle won, he would get his match with Jarrett, but if he lost, he was fired. Jarrett offered a handshake, but got slapped by Angle, who turned around and was Gored by Rhino.

Chris Sokol is from Long Island, NY and is hoping that his brother makes the Smithtown West bowling team.
