WWE releases continue Monday -- Lena, Burke, Dykstra
By JASON CLEVETT -- SLAM! Wrestling

Elijah Burke

Three more wrestlers have met the WWE chopping block as the company today announced the releases of Lena Yada, Elijah Burke and Kenny Dykstra.

Yada was third runner up in the 2007 Diva Search contest, but has been used primarily as an interviewer for the ECW brand. Yada briefly managed Victoria and Layla El before returning to her interviewer role. A model and actress, Yada has also been seen in the TV series Son of the BeachI Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.

Elijah Burke went from being called the "future of ECW" on TV by Vince McMahon to barely a blip on the radar. He challenged then-ECW champion CM Punk at Unforgiven 2007 in his last high-profile feud.

Kenny Dykstra made some appearances on WWE TV when he was 17 years old as an enhancement talent before signing with the company and spending two years in Ohio Valley Wrestling. He debuted as a member of the Spirit Squad and co-held the tag team championship from the RAW after Wrestlemania 22 until Cyber Sunday 2006. After the squad broke up, he took on the Dykstra last name and feuded with Ric Flair. He spent the last half of 2007 on Smackdown before taking a leave, but returned to the company in August losing to Triple H and also lost to R-Truth in his debut.
