Tonight on ECW on Sci-Fi: Potential ECW Championship contenders Mark
Henry, Finlay and Evan Bourne meet in a triple threat match to show the fans
who they should vote for to face Matt Hardy at Cyber Sunday. Should be a
good one!
And we are "LIVE!" from Laredo, Texas. Todd Grisham and Matt Striker are
our hosts. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).
Tony Chimel immediately introduces us to the ECW Champion, Matt Hardy.
Hardy says he's sure the fans won't vote Mark Henry in, but he's got Hardy's
vote. In comes Finlay, who says if he's voted in, he'll win the title. In
comes Evan Bourne. Finlay immediately makes a short joke (calling him
"Bourneswaggle") and then says you have to outweigh the title by at least
five pounds. (Ha!) This brings Henry to the game, who spews the usual
garbage while getting a serious dose of "WHAT?" from the crowd, that causes
him to stop and glare at one point. Hardy says the only thing any of them
will win at Cyber Sunday is the vote.
So tonight, the graphic says, Henry, Bourne and Finlay will battle in a
triple threat match.

Match #1 - Jack Swagger (Perry, Okla.) vs. Brett Badery (Parts
Unknown)
Swagger works a front headlock and gets in Badery's face and he pushes
him away. This only infuriates Swagger and he hits the gutwrench power bomb
for the win.
Winner via pinfall: Jack Swagger
Grisham is in the ring with Swagger for an interview. Grisham asks him
about what will happen when he meets Tommy Dreamer in the ring. Swagger
gathers his thoughts says "Tommy Who?" and walks away.
Lena Yada is backstage with John Morrison and The Miz. They, of course,
are seeking the public's vote for a match against Cryme Tyme at Cyber
Sunday. Be jealous.

Match #2 - Shad Gaspard (Brooklyn, N.Y.) vs. The Miz (Cleveland,
Ohio)
Shad is the man of the moment in the early going, but things turn when
The Miz low-bridges him and then hits a baseball slide which sends Shad into
the guard wall. Miz follows it up by slamming Shad's shoulder into the ring
post. Miz works the shoulder some more, but Shad fires up and hits a
spinebuster after JTG tripped Miz coming off the ropes. But after a move,
Morrison hops up on the apron and hits a kick on Shad in plain view of the
referee who has no choice put to call for the DQ.
Winner via disqualification: Shad Gaspard

Ricky Ortiz is backstage with Tiffany, who is dressed as a go-go dancer
when Hornswaggle comes looking for candy. Tiffany informs ECW General
Manager Theodore Long, who comes out dressed as Shaft and gives candy to
Hornswaggle. Hooray for comedy.

Match #3 - Finlay (Belfast, Northern Ireland) vs. Evan Bourne (St.
Louis, MO) vs. Mark Henry (Silsbee, Texas)
Finlay and Bourne team up on Henry from the onset, but Henry is able to
hit some headbutts to keep them at bay. Both continue to try to go at Henry,
but he continually keeps them away -- impressively, I might add. He then
picks up Bourne and rams him into Finlay in the corner.
Finlay goes to the second rope and leaps at Henry but eats a body slam
instead. On the apron, Bourne is able to get rid of Henry with a low bridge.
This gives Finlay an opening to work on Bourne, as he hits a
shoulderbreaker. Henry is getting up on the outside when Bourne makes Henry
and Finlay's heads meet. The cover by Bourne is broken up.
These three are really going at it, mainly using Bourne as a prop. Henry
hits a double clothesline, which sends both men crashing to the canvas.

We're back and Henry is still firmly in control until Finlay gets out of
a body slam and hits a chop block and the atomic butt drop. Finlay and
Bourne team up to drop kick/slide Henry out of the ring.
With Henry catching a breather again, Bourne and Finlay go at it. But
Henry gets back into the swing of things and goes back to work on Finlay.
Henry gets Finlay on his back and Bourne on his chest and slams Bourne down
(this was quite a sight). Henry goes to ram Finlay in the corner, but Finlay
moves out of the way sending Henry into the ring post.
Hornswaggle distracts Henry and then Tony Atlas comes and stops
Hornswaggle from trying to escape to under the ring. He throws Hornswaggle
into the ring when Henry goes to slam him, but Finlay hits a chop block and
then decks Atlas. With the referee distracted by Hornswaggle, Finlay clocks
Henry with the Shillelagh. But in comes Bourne who hits the double knees on
Finlay, sending him to the outside. Bourne then goes to the top and hits the
Shooting Star Press on Henry for the win.
Winner via pinfall: Evan Bourne
Wow, that was a really good, exciting match. I never thought I'd say that
about a Mark Henry match. Good stuff.
