Impact: Cage can't pick a side
By CHRIS SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

While Samoa Joe and Sting will be going face-to-face at Bound for Glory, on this edition of Impact, the two will meet in a contract signing. Also on Impact, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles takes on Booker T and Beer Money does battle with Abyss and Matt Morgan.

Jeremy Borash caught up with Jeff Jarrett, who said that he needs to be ready for his match with Kurt Angle. He says that he has Angle's gold medals and has some big plans for them.

A recap is shown from the last episode of Impact.

Mike Tenay and Don West did their usual welcome and ran down the card.

Christian Cage then made his way into the Impact Zone and ranted about how he is being told to make a choice. He says that he is the champ and he doesn't have to pick sides. Booker T and Sharmell made their way out and told Cage that they didn't come out for trouble. Booker said that AJ Styles is hogging the spotlight and that Cage made Styles who he is. AJ Styles came out and mocked Booker T, telling him that he was trying to cause trouble. They argued for a bit, which brought out Jim Cornette, who said that they would be settling things and that it would be Booker T vs. AJ Styles with Christian Cage as the guest referee.

Jeremy Borash spoke to Sting, who said that there has been enough talk and that his match at Bound for Glory against Samoa Joe is going to be huge. Sting said that he was going to represent those who have been disrespected and that his reputation was on the line. Borash asked what would happen if Sting lost and he said that it wasn't an option.

Match One - No DQ Match - Rhino vs. Cute Kip w/ The Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky)

This was a brawl, with The Beautiful People getting involved here and there. Rhino grabbed a table and put it up in the corner. He went to Gore Cute Kip into it, but Kip avoided it. They battled back and forth and eventually Rhino got near the table. Angelina Love grabbed his foot and held him, as Velvet Sky sprayed him in the face. Love continued to hold him as Kip hit the Gore through the table.

Winner Via Pinfall - Cute Kip

After the match, Cute Kip and The Beautiful People beat on Rhino, until ODB and Rhaka Kahn ran out with steel chairs and made the save.

Jeremy Borash caught Kurt Angle as he was getting into the Impact Zone. He told him that Jeff Jarrett had his gold medals. Angle said that he wasn't going to be suckered in by Jarrett and was going to let Jarrett come to him.

Match Two - Fatal Four Way Number One Contenders Match for a Shot at the TNA X Division Championship - Sonjay Dutt w/ So Cal Val vs. Jay Lethal vs. Petey Williams vs. Consequences Creed

Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt went at each other and brawled to the floor. The match broke down, with each star taking out the other and coming close with near falls. Consequences Creed was able to execute a backslide on Dutt and pick up the pin.

Winner Via Pinfall - Consequences Creed

Backstage, Lauren spoke to Sheik Abdul Bashir, who said that Consequences Creed was the perfect opponent for him, since he wears the red, white and blue. He went on to say that he was going to torture him at Bound for Glory.

Next up was Karen's Angle with Mick Foley. Foley talked about coming to TNA and looking to make a difference. He said that he was honored to be named the enforcer in the Kurt Angle/Jeff Jarrett match. He said that he appreciates what Kurt has done, but thinks he is crossing the line. He said that Jarrett has been away and that maybe he can act like a mentor, because he too has dealt with coming back after a long layoff.

Mike Tenay and Don West ran down the Bound for Glory card.

Jeremy Borash spoke to Rhino who said that at Bound for Glory, he was going to put up tables in the corners and play a game of "gore the whore."

A package was shown for Steve "Mongo" McMichael, who will be the guest referee in the Monster's Ball match at Bound for Glory.

Beer Money made their way to the ring, followed by Team 3D who came out with weapons to watch the match.

Match Three - Non Title Match - Beer Money (James Storm and Robert Roode) w/ Jackie Moore vs. Abyss and Matt Morgan

This was a really good match. Beer Money did some expert double teaming, but the match eventually broke down. Matt Morgan hit Robert Roode with the Bicycle Kick, only to get hit with a Superkick by James Storm. Storm then grabbed a beer bottle and went to hit Abyss, but got caught with the Black Hole Slam for the win.

Winners Via Pinfall - Abyss and Matt Morgan

After the match, Team 3D stared down Abyss and Matt Morgan.

Lauren spoke to LAX, who said they were out for Beer Money and promised to hurt them at Bound for Glory.

A package was shown for the Jeff Jarrett/Kurt Angle match at Bound for Glory.

Mike Tenay announced that Karen Angle would be stepping away from TNA to spend some more time with her kids. He also said that Mick Foley is signed on for one more appearance at Bound for Glory.

Mick Foley entered the Impact Zone and talked about how important the Jeff Jarrett/Kurt Angle match is going to be. He introduced Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle and gave them a chance to make some last comments. Jarrett said that hiring Angle was a mistake, but that's something he has to live with. He says that Angle wants the match at Bound for Glory, not him. He then gave Angle his medals back, as Angle stood shocked. Foley told them to shake, which they did. Angle thanked Jarrett for the medals and told him to go home and apologize to his little girls, because daddy wouldn't be coming home after Bound for Glory.

Jeremy Borash was shown in Booker T's locker room. Booker talked about how he knew that Christian Cage would be on his side. Borash asked again about the briefcase and Booker said that it was coming close to the time where he would reveal it.

A Rough Cuts segment was shown on Roxxi Laveaux.

Match Four - Roxxi Laveaux and Taylor Wilde vs. Awesome Kong and Riesha Saeed

This was a good match. Back and forth, with all four Knockouts getting in some good offense. There was a miscommunication between Awesome Kong and Riesha Saeed, that saw Kong accidentally clothesline Saeed. However, the duo regained the momentum and Kong finished off Roxxi Laveaux with an Implant Buster.

Winners Via Pinfall - Awesome Kong and Riesha Saeed

Match Five - Booker T w/ Sharmell vs. AJ Styles - Guest Referee - Christian Cage

This was a great main event. Booker T and AJ Styles both argued with Christian Cage throughout the match. After some back and forth action, Styles caught Booker in an armbar, but Booker made it to the ropes. Styles then argued with Cage some more, leading to Booker hitting him with a German suplex into a pin. Cage counted the three and said that Styles' shoulder came off the mat and Booker was pinned.

Winner Via Pinfall - AJ Styles

After the match, Booker T yelled at Christian Cage, who sent him to the floor. AJ Styles went for a handshake, but also got taken down. Jim Cornette came out and said that nothing was settled, so at Bound for Glory, it would be AJ Styles vs. Booker T vs. Christian Cage.

A package was shown for Sting/Samoa Joe.

Jim Cornette entered the Impact Zone and called out Samoa Joe and Sting for the contract signing. He said that he added the "No Rematch" clause they asked for. Sting told Joe that it didn't have to be this way. Joe told Sting that they were going to do what they had to do and that the reason he wasn't going after him in the ring right then and there, was because Kevin Nash taught him about being a professional. He said that he disagrees with Sting, but he respects him. Sting and Joe signed the contract, and shook hands, which led to Joe headbutting Sting. They brawled, as security ran and broke them up, rounding out another episode of Impact.

Chris Sokol is from Long Island, NY and alongside his brother, Bryan, will be covering TNA Bound for Glory.
