ECW: Big 8-Man Tag Action
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on ECW on Sci-Fi: The Land of Extreme plays hosts to quite possibly the biggest 8-man tag in show history as Kofi Kingston, Ricky Ortiz, Evan Bourne and CM Punk battle Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, John Morrison and The Miz. Should be a good one!

And we are LIVE! from Spokane, Wash. Todd Grisham and Matt Striker are our hosts. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Match #1 - Finlay (Belfast, Northern Ireland) & Tommy Dreamer (Yonkers, N.Y.) vs. Mike Knox (Phoenix, Ariz.) & Jack Swagger (Perry, Okla.)

Finlay and Knox start things out and Finlay is quickly able to hit the atomic butt drop and tag in Dreamer.

Swagger hits Dreamer from the apron and when Knox tries to attack from behind, Dreamer moves and Knox sends Swagger flying to the floor. Dreamer leaps from the apron and takes out Swagger, but when he tries to re-enter the ring, Knox hits him with a big boot, sending him crashing down.

We're back and Knox has a chinlock on Dreamer and lifts him up for a big suplex. Knox takes a cheap shot on Finlay, who is on the apron, and when Finlay tries to get back at him, Knox and Swagger use the ref's distraction to double-team Dreamer.

In comes Swagger. He works a chinlock and tries for a Vader Bomb and misses, but recovers before Dreamer can make the tag. Swagger tags in Knox and Dreamer is able to make the tag and Finlay goes nuts.

Dreamer runs across the ring to assault Swagger, distracting the referee. Seeing this, Hornswaggle climbs the ropes and hits the Tadpole Splash on Knox. While the ref is scurrying Hornswaggle out of the ring, Finlay clocks Knox with the Shillelagh for the pin.

Winners via pinfall: Finlay and Tommy Dreamer

Backstage, Theodore Long and Tiffany are celebrating Halloween for Sci-Fi (in costume, of course) when Jamie Noble (dressed as "The Greatest Wrestler of All-Time") comes in get some candy. Noble tries some pick-up lines when Mark Henry and Tony Atlas barge in.

Henry wants another shot at Matt Hardy when Noble interjects and scolds Henry for disrespecting him and his "woman" (Tiffany). Of course, Henry says if he can't feast on Hardy, he wants Noble as an appetizer. Noble, putting his foot squarely in his mouth again, tells Long to "make it happen." Naturally, Long is surprised by this but says he'll make it happen and it's next.

Then we get a promo and, YES! The Boogeyman is coming back to ECW!!!!

Match #2 - Mark Henry (Silsbee, Texas) vs. Jamie Noble (Hanover, W.V.)

Atlas once again rocking the sleeveless dress shirt. I'd love to show up to work in that.

Henry is just rag-dolling Noble. Henry puts him up on the top rope but Noble starts fighting back with some punches. He goes for a cross-body drop but flies right into the World's Strongest Slam. Good night.

Winner via pinfall: Mark Henry

Henry follows up the win with another World's Strongest Slam. He lifts him up and hits another as Matt Hardy's music hits and he's out. He punches Henry in the corner and then hits the Twist of Fate on Atlas. But as he turns around, he walks right into the World's Strongest Slam. Henry follows it with a double-dose of the World's Largest Splash.

Match #3 - CM Punk (Chicago, Ill.), Evan Bourne (St. Louis, MO), Ricky Ortiz (Paradise Valley, Ariz.) & Kofi Kingston (Jamaica) vs. John Morrison (Los Angeles, Calif.), The Miz (Cleveland, Ohio), Ted DiBiase (West Palm Beach, Fla.) & Cody Rhodes (Charlotte, N.C.)

Bwhahahahaha. As Kingston walks down the ramp Grisham drops the classic "Jamaican me crazy" Adamle line. Ahhhh, memories.

This is a wild match in the early going, but eventually the heels gain control and go to work on the smallest man in the match, Evan Bourne.

Naturally, the heels utilize quick tags and they have Bourne isolated for a long time before Bourne finally leaps to tag Punk.

Punk hits the running knee on Morrison, hits a kick on Morrison and then it breaks down. Ortiz hits a springboard crossbody on Rhodes and Miz. Kingston follows it up with the same. Punk hits a bulldog on Morrison and goes for GTS, but Manu jumps up on the apron. Punk knocks him off, but from behind, DiBiase grabs him and pulls him backward off the top rope right into the Moonlight Drive for the pink.

Winners via pinfall: John Morrison, The Miz, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase
