ECW: New time, same faces

Tonight on ECW on Sci-Fi: Friday Night Smackdown isn't the only WWE show on the move this week. ECW has moved to 9 p.m. and General Manager Theodore Long has a big six-man tag team match lined up for the main event. Should be a good one!

And we are "LIVE!" from Green Bay, Wis. Todd Grisham and Matt Striker are our hosts. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

ECW General Manager Theodore Long and Tiffany are in the ring. Tiffany first introduces Long and then brings in ECW Champion Matt Hardy and the former champion, Mark Henry.

Long takes the mic and wants the two to make any final comments before their title match at No Mercy.

Henry eventually threatens to start No Mercy tonight. Long says he doesn't want this breaking out into a fight when John Morrison's music hits and he and The Miz (HOO-RAH!) come out to the ramp.

They go off on Long for making them wrestle each other last week. Morrison says he and Miz want Ricky Ortiz and Evan Bourne (the "nerds") and begin chanting "nerds! nerds! nerds!".

Long then books Morrison, Miz and Henry against Ortiz, Bourne and Hardy tonight. Should be a good one!

Match #1 - Jack Swagger (Perry, Okla.) vs. Lenny Lane (Minneapolis, Minn.)

Holy crap. Lenny F'n Lane.

Unfortunately for the former WCW Crusierweight Champion, Swagger hits a running knee and the gut-wrench power bomb for the win. This one lasted about as long as it took you to read that.

Winner via pinfall: Jack Swagger

After the match, Swagger picks up Lane and puts him on the second rope and hits a reverse neckbreaker. Before he can do anything more, Tommy Dreamer makes the save and he's in action next.

Match #2 - Tommy Dreamer (Yonkers, N.Y.) vs. Mike Knox (Phoenix, Ariz.)

Dreamer goes to the second rope and leaps off, but Knox nails him with a ridiculously painful clothesline. He follows that up with a suplex and a knee drop.

Knox goes running at Dreamer, but Dreamer hits a drop-toe hold, sending Knox into the second turnbuckle. Dreamer goes to run at Knox, but Knox moves and Dreamer drives his own shoulder into the ring post.

Knox brings him back in and hits the Knox Out for the win.

Winner via pinfall: Mike Knox

Seeing fallen pray, Jack Swagger comes back to the ring and hits the gut-wrench power bomb on Dreamer.

Match #3 - John Morrison (Los Angeles, Calif.), The Miz (Cleveland, Ohio) 7 Mark Henry (Silsbee, Texas) vs. Evan Bourne (St. Louis, MO), Ricky Ortiz (Paradise Valley, Ariz.) & Matt Hardy (Cameron, N.C.)

The heels isolate Bourne in the centre of the ring, but Bourne gets out and gets the hot tag to Hardy, who starts taking it to Miz, including a quick Side Effect. Morrison comes in to no avail and Hardy dispatches of them both. Henry comes in the ring, but Ortiz and Bourne come to back Hardy and Henry doesn't make a move.

We're back and Hardy has an armbar locked in on Morrison. Hardy brings in Ortiz and he continues working the arm. He quickly brings Hardy back into the mix. Hardy, Bourne and Ortiz work quick tags to isolate Morrison on their side of the ring. I can't remember the last time I saw the face team do this.

Ortiz drops his head for a backdrop, but Morrison kicks him in the face and tags in Henry, who goes crazy on Ortiz. And then Striker dropped this:

Striker:When you think of agile big men in this business, you think of Gorilla Monsoon, King Mabel and now Mark Henry

Grisham: Did you just say King Mabel?

Now the heels are isolating Ortiz, with Morrison working a reverse triangle choke. But Ortiz turns around and lifts him up and hits an electric chair. Morrison is able to tag Miz and he stops Ortiz from getting to his corner.

Ortiz is finally able to roll to Bourne and he cracks Morrison with a kick to the back of the head. He goes to the top and hits the knees to the jaw. He goes for the cover, but Miz makes the save. Everyone else elimates each other, allowing Morrison to tag Henry, who quickly hits the World's Strongest Slam for the win.

Winners via pinfall: Mark Henry, John Morrison & The Miz
