Impact: Angle has a Nice Day

After the debacle that was No Surrender, TNA returns to the Impact Zone as we continue on the road to Bound For Glory. On this episode, Jeff Jarrett speaks, Booker T goes up against Jay Lethal, plus the pairing of Christian Cage and AJ Styles take on The Motor City Machine Guns.

The show began with a recap of No Surrender. Ugh.

Mike Tenay and Don West then did their usual intro and hyped the show.

Samoa Joe then entered the Impact Zone and talked about his title defense at No Surrender. He gave both Kurt Angle and Christian Cage credit for giving it their all. Joe then addressed Sting and asked where he was while they were busting their asses in the ring. Joe told Sting that at Bound For Glory, he was going to beat him up and make him take his final bow.

Jeremy Borash spoke to Jeff Jarrett earlier on in the day. Jarrett said that he had something to say and he hoped Sting was listening.

Mike Tenay and Don West then said that Sting would be addressing the Impact Zone. They also questioned what Kurt Angle would have to say to Jeff Jarrett.

Kurt Angle then made his way to the announce table, saying that he had a message for Jeff Jarrett and that their paths would cross. He also said that he wanted his gold medal's back from AJ Styles. Security then came out and escorted him to the back.

Match One - AJ Styles and Christian Cage vs. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin)

This was a good tag team match. Lots of back and forth action and great double teamind. AJ Styles and Christian Cage came together well and were able to get the win, as Styles hit the Styles Clash on Chris Sabin.

Winners Via Pinfall - AJ Styles and Christian Cage

After the match, AJ Styles shook hands with The Motor City Machine Guns. Christian Cage then went to shake hands with Alex Shelley, who pulled his hand away and flipped him off. Cage went to go after Shelley, but Styles held him back.

A package was then shown on Booker T.

Jeremy Borash was then shown in Booker T's lockeroom with Booker T and Sharmell. Booker T talked about disrespect and how The Motor City Machine Guns just disrespected AJ Styles and Christian Cage and how they just stood there. Booker said that Jay Lethal disrespects Randy Savage, while Borash feels that Lethal is honoring him. Booker says that he is going to teach Lethal respect. As for Jeff Jarrett, Sharmell said that Booker knows how to handle himself. Borash asked Booker about his breifcase, but was declined a comment.

A package was then shown on the Terror Dome, which is now being called the Steel Asylum.

Lauren spoke to Sheik Abdul Bashir, who said that he is holding the TNA X Division Championship hostage.

Match Two - Petey Williams, Johnny Devine and Jimmy Rave w/ Rhaka Kahn, Christy Hemme and Lance Rock vs. The Prince Justice Brotherhood (Shark Boy, Super Eric and Curry Man)

This match broke down into a brawl. Petey Williams went for a clothesline on Shark Boy, who ducked, allowing Super Eric to hit a high crossbody on Williams for the pin.

After the match, Johnny Devine and Jimmy Rave argued. Rave then started badmouthing Petey Williams and a beatdown on Williams ensued. The referee, Glamour Boy Shane, was then thrown by Lance Rock. Shane got up and cleaned house, until Earl Hebner ran out and calmed him down.

Jeremy Borash spoke to Sting, who said that he would listen to Jeff Jarrett.

Mike Tenay hosted a press conference for Matt Morgan. He talked about sending his DNA sequence to space and how it will leave a legacy for him. He also receieved an award for this.

Lauren caught up with Abyss and Matt Morgan. Morgan said that he saw a replay of what happened at No Surrender and says that he was wrong in accusing Abyss. Abyss gave Morgan some of his hair. Morgan said that he and Abyss are a dominant force and have entered the tag team invitational at Bound For Glory. Team 3D walked in and called them a fluke and said that they were also entered in the invitational and to be ready.

Jackie Moore was shown walking.

Jackie Moore came out and put the badmouth on Hector Guerrero and slapped him. Guerrero got up and was jumped from behind by Beer Money. They beat him down and put him in the ring. LAX then came out and made the save, followed by Traci Brooks who said that Guerrero and Moore had to go to Jim Cornette's office.

A Rough Cuts segment was shown on Roxxi Laveaux.

Sting was shown walking from the rafters.

In Jim Cornette's office, Cornette and Traci Brooks discussed disciplinary action for Jackie Moore. They decided that on the next episode of the Impact, it will be Beer Money and Jackie Moore vs. LAX and Hector Guerrero, with the losing team, losing their manager.

A package was shown on Sting.

Sting then entered the Impact Zone and told Samoa Joe that he knows all about respect and says that at Bound For Glory, he will be victorious.

A package was shown on Suicide.

Mike Tenay and Don West then hyped Bound For Glory and the Samoa Joe/Sting match.

A Knockouts video package was shown.

Jeremy Borash spoke to AJ Styles and Christian Cage about the disrespect shown by The Motor City Machine Guns. Styles says to drop it and says that everyone in TNA is choosing sides, but he and Cage are on the same page. Cage disagrees and asks Styles what side he is really on and says not to forget who put him in the spotlight.

Lauren then caught up with Jay Lethal and said she was sorry for what So Cal Val did to him. Lethal said that he has no pity and wants to get Val and Sonjay Dutt back. He also says that he truly is honoring Randy Savage and that he will show Booker T disrespect, by beating him all over the Impact Zone.

Match Three - Jay Lethal vs. Booker T w/ Sharmell

This was a good match, that saw Jay Lethal having things under control, only for Sharmell to trip him up and allow Booker T to hit the Axe Kicks and pick up the victory.

Winner Via Pinfall - Booker T

Lauren spoke to The Beautiful People and Cute Kip, who made fun of her. Angelina Love then complained about how she needed to go to the dermatologist, because she woke up with a blemish on her face.

Match Four - Rhino and Taylor Wilde vs. Cute Kip and Velvet Sky

Taylor Wilde went right after Velvet Sky and brought the heavy offense. Cute Kip tried to get involved, but was Gored. Angelina Love came out to ringside and slipped Sky a lead pipe. Wilde avoided the attack and got a rollup on Sky for the pin.

Winners Via Pinfall - Rhino and Taylor Wilde

After the match, The Beautiful People and Cute Kip beat on Taylor Wilde and Rhino. Wilde fought back, until Awesome Kong came out and a brawl ensued. Back from the commercial break, replays of the brawl was shown, as Wilde and Rhino got the brown bag treatment.

A Jeff Jarrett/TNA video package was shown.

Jeff Jarrett was then shown walking into the Impact Zone.

Jeff Jarrett then entered the Impact Zone and was welcomed back. Jarrett talked about losing his wife, Jill and how much she meant to him. Jarrett then thanked the fans for all the support and called out Sting. Sting came down and listened as Jarrett, as he talked about trying to do what his father did, by giving guys breaks. He says that Sting, Booker T and Kurt Angle just want to take, take, take, and he isn't going to stand for it. Kurt Angle then came out and got into a war of words with Jarrett. Jarrett said that he came back to TNA as a founder and not a wrestler, he doesn't have it in him. Angle then told Jarrett that if he wasn't a wrestler, to get out of his ring. Jarrett warned him not to push him. He told Angle that he doesn't want any part of the pain he has been wearing. He then pointed to the TNA tron, as Mick Foley appeared. Foley says "Hello" to Angle and tells him that it's damn real, before signing off with a "Bang, Bang." Angle stood shocked, rounding out another edition of Impact.
