Impact: Sting calls out the King of the Mountain
By CHRIS SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

So far, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle and Booker T have secured their spots in the No Surrender main event. On this episode of Impact, former friends Christian Cage and "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles do battle to claim the final slot in that match for a shot at the TNA Heavyweight Championship.

The show began with a recap of Sting's actions, including his attack on AJ Styles on the last episode of Impact.

Mike Tenay and Don West then did their usual introduction as Kurt Angle, Booker T and Sharmell made their way into the Impact Zone.

Kurt Angle and Booker T called out Samoa Joe and told him that they were what a champion should look like. They continued to bash Joe and said that at No Surrender, they were going to take out their opponents and then face each other for the title. Christian Cage then made his way out and told Angle and Booker that they wouldn't have to worrying about facing each other, because he was going to walk out the new TNA Heavyweight Champion. Cage engaged in a battle of words, leading to an all-out brawl. Angle and Booker had the upper hand on Cage, until AJ Styles ran out and made the save. Angle then got on the mic and said that he and Booker were going to ensure that neither one of them made it to No Surrender. Jim Cornette then came out and told Angle and Booker that if either one of them interfered in the Cage/Styles match, both of them would lose their spots at No Surrender. Angle and Booker flipped, as Cage and Styles shook hands in the middle of the ring.

Jeremy Borash spoke to Samoa Joe, who said that Sting had to earn his respect. Joe also said that he would confront Sting later on Impact.

Rough Cuts with Consequences Creed was shown, highlighting his education in college.

Lauren spoke to Sheik Abdul Bashir, who said that he was on a quest to take back what was his. he also said that he had no problem hurting innocent people along the way.

After the match, Sheik Abdul Bashir argued with Glamour Boy Shane and shoved him around. Shane held his temper, until Bashir slapped him, setting Shane off and forcing him to clean house on Bashir. Earl Hebner then ran out to calm Shane down a bit.

Jeremy Borash caught up with Kevin Nash, who said he was trying to talk to Samoa Joe. He said that Sting would be out to talk later and maybe Joe would hear him out.

Lauren then spoke to Beer Money Inc. and Jackie Moore, who announced that they would be in the new TNA video game. The Prince Justice Brotherhood walked in and said that they would fight to get them out of the game to protect the kids. An argument ensued, which led to a brawl that was broken up by security.

Sting then offered Joe his bat, much like he did with AJ Styles, but Joe said that he didn't need the bat, and pulled out a police baton. Kevin Nash then came out and told them that they didn't need the weapons to settle this. As Joe was distracted by Nash, Sting hit Joe with the bat and hit the Scorpion Death Drop. Jeff Jarrett's music then hit, as Sting called him out and said that maybe they could talk on the next episode of Impact. Nash questioned Sting's actions to round out this episode of Impact.
