Impact: Sting speaks
By CHRIS SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

For the past few weeks, Sting's actions have spoken louder than his words. On tonight's edition of Impact, Sting speaks and sets the record straight. Also in action, Kurt Angle takes on Kevin Nash for a spot in the main event at No Surrender. So buckle your seat belts and hold on tight for this week's Impact recap!

The show began with a recap of Sting's actions over the past few weeks.

Sting was shown arriving at the Impact Zone. Lauren asked if he will speak and Sting said that tonight was the night.

Mike Tenay and Don West then did their usual welcome and hyped the card.

Match One - Awesome Kong w/ Riesha Saeed vs. Sojourner Bolt

Sojourner Bolt is best known as Josie from Shimmer. Bolt had a decent outing, but was leveled by a spinning back fist, followed by a Kong Bomb for the win.

Winner Via Pinfall - Awesome Kong

After the match, Awesome Kong and Riesha Saeed continued the beat down on Sojourner Bolt, until ODB ran out and made the save. Referees tried to get in between ODB and Kong, but they continued to brawl. Security finally ran out and broke them up.

Jeremy Borash spoke to AJ Styles, who said that he and Christian Cage have a Four Ways to Glory qualifying match against each other at the next edition of Impact. He says that he and Cage are both up to the challenge. Styles also said that he was going to let Sting speak and then he was going to give him his receipt. Borash asked about Kurt Angle's gold medals, and Styles said they were in good hands.

Rough Cuts with Consequences Creed was shown, with him explaining how he joined TNA.

Match Two - Petey Williams and Sheik Abdul Bashir w/ Rhaka Kahn vs. Consequences Creed and Jay Lethal

This was a good back and forth match. Creed was able to send Bashir into Williams, leading to Lethal rolling up Williams for the victory.

Winners Via Pinfall - Consequences Creed and Jay Lethal

After the match, Williams and Bashir argued, until referees came out and broke them up.

Lauren was shown with ODB, who said that she wanted Awesome Kong in a fight and she wanted her to bring her best.

Next up was Karen's Angle with Chris Parks. Parks talked about his reformation and began hitting on Karen Angle, asking what she looked for in a man. He wrote her a poem and presented her with his hair.

Lauren caught up with The Beautiful People and Kip James. James kept trying to fix Lauren, until she left. The Beautiful People talked about their match with Taylor Wilde and Roxxi Laveaux and promised that they would win and that Angelina Love would capture the TNA Knockouts Championship at No Surrender.

Jeremy Borash spoke to Kurt Angle and Frank Trigg, who claimed that AJ Styles used a guitar to steal the gold medals. Angle says that he hopes Styles is at the Impact Zone, so he can beat him up and get his medals back. Borash informed Angle that Styles didn't have his medals anymore. Angle went nuts, but Trigg restrained him and said that he wouldn't leave Angle like Tomko did and he will fix his problems.

Match Three - Jimmy Rave w/ Christy Hemme vs. Curry Man

These two brawled, with Christy Hemme trying to get involved. Curry Man was able to fight off Jimmy Rave and hit him with the Spice Rack for the pinfall victory.

Winner Via Pinfall - Curry Man

After the match, Christy Hemme jumped in the ring and slapped Curry Man. Jimmy Rave and Lance Rock tried to jump him, but Curry Man fought them off, until Hemme hit him with a low blow. Super Eric and Shark Boy then ran out and made the save.

Lauren caught up with Jim Cornette backstage, who said that if Christy Hemme wants to wrestle so bad, she will at No Surrender, because she will be teaming up with The Rock-N-Rave Infection to take on The Prince Justice Brotherhood. Traci Brooks walked in and Cornette told her that she will be the new law in the Knockouts Division.

Back in Booker T's locker room, Team 3D came to watch Sting's speech. Booker says that there will be no guitars at No Surrender. They all drink champagne, and Brother Ray spills some, leading to Booker yelling at him.

Mike Tenay hyped No Surrender.

Jeremy Borash spoke to Kevin Nash, who said that his qualifying match was payback for a favor that he did for Jim Cornette. He tried to fine Samoa Joe to talk to him about it, but Joe was too busy chasing Sting. Nash promised to beat Kurt Angle and then go on to become the TNA Heavyweight Champion.

Samoa Joe then made his way out to provide commentary.

Match Four - Four Ways to Glory Qualifying Match - Kevin Nash vs. Kurt Angle

Back and forth match. Nash held his own against Angle, who came at him pretty hard. During the match, Nash went over and slapped Samoa Joe and told him to watch him. Joe tried to get back at Nash, distracting the referee, and allowing Angle to hit a low blow and an Angle Slam for the win.

Winner Via Pinfall - Kurt Angle

After the match, Samoa Joe and Kevin Nash argued, as Joe told Nash to practice what he preached. Nash then walked away.

A package was shown on the mysterious guitar, as Mike Tenay and Don West speculated on the source of the guitar.

A Jeff Jarrett package was shown since he uses the guitar.

Highlights were shown of So Cal Val being injured on the last edition of Impact. She said that it was foolishness that caused her to be injured. She said that if Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt want to fight over her, they can hang the ring over the ring and the first one to get it, gets her. Cough, Judy Bagwell, cough.

A Knockouts package was shown.

Match Five - The Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky) w/ Kip James vs. Roxxi Laveaux and ODB

Good main event. Taylor Wilde really took the fight to The Beautiful People. Roxxi Laveaux also had things going her way, until Kip James tossed in the spray bottle to Velvet Sky, who sprayed Laveaux as she was about to hit the Vodooo Crusher, leading to a Bicycle Kick by Angelina Love for the pin.

Winners Via Pinfall - The Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky)

After the match, Kip James and The Beautiful People went to brown bag Roxxi Laveaux, but Taylor Wilde made the save. They then beat on Wilde and James went to cut her hair, but Rhino ran out and made the save.

Sting came out and talked about how he feels as though the youung guys in TNA are spoiled, rotten, brats. He says that Samoa Joe, even when he has his opponent beat, likes to go the extra mile and bloody them. He says that it's a lack of respect. He says that a guy like AJ Styles once called him "Mr. Sting." Now he calls him a coward. He says that he has come back to TNA to be a babysitter and if anyone wants to say something to him, to come out and do it. AJ Styles made his way out and told Sting that he had the wrong idea. He says that he actually idolized Sting. Sting fired back andtalked about Styles disrespect of Kurt Angle and how Angle has done things that Styles couldn't do. Sting then gave AJ his bat and told him to hit him with it. Sting turned his back as Styles refused. Styles turned him around, only to get caught with a boot and a Scorpion Deathdrop. Jeff Jarrett's music then hit to round out another edition of Impact.
