ECW: It's a Hardyz reunion
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on ECW on Sci-Fi: John Morrison & The Miz face off against The Hardyz.

And we are "LIVE!" from Flair Country, Charlotte, N.C. Mike Adamle and "The Tazz" are our hosts. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

In the ring, Tazz welcomes "The World's Strongest Champion" Mark Henry and his new second, WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas.

Tazz confirms Henry's title match Sunday against Tommy Dreamer. Tazz asks the questions on everyone's mind to Tony Atlas: Why?

Atlas goes on about how he'll be proud to carry Henry's bags. Then he begins a demonstration. He gets a batch of frying pans from the timekeeper. He wants someone who thinks they're strong to come out and try to bend it. Atlas picks out a tallish guy from the crowd wearing a Charlotte Bobcats shirt. His name is Chad Somethingorother. Atlas asks him if he is strong and he says, "No, sir," drawing a laugh from the crowd. Of course, he can't bend it. Then, Atlas turns it over to Henry, who promptly turns the frying pan into a bedpan. As Atlas pumps up Henry some more, out comes Tommy Dreamer.

Dreamer says he's not out to fight him and what Henry did was real impressive, but he's been training hard for this match and wants to give it a shot. Dreamer, naturally, can't do it, so Henry and Atlas get a good laugh at his expense. But Dreamer does find a way to bend it, though, by cracking it over Henry's head. ECW! Who's laughing now?

Backstage, ECW General Manager Theodore Long gives Dreamer the night off because he will not tolerate any civil unrest like he sees on RAW. He tells him to get to steppin'.

Match #1 - Mike Knox (Phoenix, Ariz.) vs. Shannon Moore (Whispering Pines, N.C.)

After Moore gets in a little bit of offense, including a hurricarana from the top rope, Knox quickly turns it around and nails a particularly vicious corkscrew faceplant for the win.

Winner via pinfall: Mike Knox

Match #2 - Chavo Guerrero (El Paso, Texas) vs. Evan Bourne (St. Louis, MO.)

Bourne gets off to a quick start, but bites off more than he can chew when he goes to the top only to be pushed off onto the floor by Guerrero.

Guerrero, despite being somewhat of a high-flyer himself, grounds Bourne with a chinlock, but Bourne gets up and hits two kicks and an impressive standing moonsault for two.

Chavo gets him down and goes for a Vader Bomb, but Bourne gets the knees up. This leaves Chavo in the right position for the Shooting Star Press and that's all she wrote.

Winner via pinfall: Evan Bourne

Colin Delaney is backstage macking on Tiffany when Henry and Atlas come into the frame. They tell him he has nothing to worry about because he had nothing to do with what went on out there. Henry says he's OK with him and walks away, only to come back and lock in a big bearhug and a press slam him onto a metal crate.

Match #3 - John Morrison (Los Angeles, Calif) & The Miz (Cleveland, Ohio) vs. Matt & Jeff Hardy (Cameron, N.C.)

We're back and the match is in progress. Early highlight sees Matt and Jeff scoop Morrison up and slam him. Miz gets in a blind tag and clotheslines Matt and locks in a chinlock, but he busts out, but Miz falls right into a tag. Morrison and Miz control before Hardy counters and is able to finally get to Jeff as Morrison gets to Miz.

Jeff comes in and is the house o' fire and goes for the Swanton Bomb but Morrison pulls Miz to safety.

We're back and Morrison and Jeff in a back chinlock with a knee on the back. Jeff gets out with a spinning back kick, but Miz is able to contain Jeff before he makes the tag. Miz works another chinlock, complete with some knees to the back. They are just working over Jeff's back. Miz puts him in the Tree of Woe and pulls his head back against the turnbuckle. Miz goes for a back suplex off the top rope, but Jeff pushes him down and hits Whisper in the Wind.

Both men are down and crawling to their corner. They both get there and Matt comes in and levels Morrison with a huge clothesline. Matt hits a Razor's Edge/powerbomb combo on Morrison and a Side Effect, which leads to a Swanton Bomb on Morrison with Matt making the cover.

Winners via pinfall: Matt & Jeff Hardy

This show is over, gang.
