Impact: Slammiversary stage is set
By CHRIS SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

Slammiversary is just three days away, however, we need to make one last stop at the Impact Zone for some final preparations. On this edition of Impact, AJ Styles goes one-on-one with his former partner, Tomko, with Kevin Nash serving as the Special Guest Enforcer. The King of the Mountain participants do battle in a tag match, while the X Division stars face off in a King of the Mountain match. All this and more on Impact!

Mike Tenay and Don West did their usual welcome and then pitched it to the ring.

Match One - Booker T and Robert Roode vs. Rhino and Christian Cage

This was a solid match that broke down into an all out brawl. Rhino and Christian Cage had things well at hand, after Rhino took out Booker T with the Gore, however, Team 3D ran out to save their running mate, causing a disqualification.

Winners Via Disqualification - Rhino and Christian Cage

After the match, the beatdown continued, until AJ Styles came to the rescue. Rhino and Christian Cage were able to battle back with the help of Styles and clear the ring of Booker T and his posse. Styles then grabbed the mic and told Cage that they used to be family, but now he just hopes that one day they could be on the same page. He then said that he was going to take out Kurt Angle at Slammiversary and wanted to take out Tomko later on Impact. Jim Cornette came out and made the match official and put Kevin Nash in as the Special Guest Enforcer.

Footage was shown from earlier in the day of Jeremy Borash speaking to Samoa Joe during one of his training sessions. Joe said that he would prevail at Slammiversary, but wanted to speak to Kevin Nash on Impact.

Backstage, Lauren spoke to The Beautiful People, who made her hold their trading card over her face. They said that they were going to defeat ODB in the Street Fight. As the Beautiful People walked off, Awesome Kong and Riesha Saeed stepped in and told Lauren that the Awesome Kong Challenge would continue.

Match Two - Knockouts Street Fight - ODB vs. Velvet Sky w/ Angelina Love

This was another all out brawl, that saw ODB and Velvet Sky fight all throughout the Impact Zone. Angelina Love tried to get involved, but ODB overcome the odds and powerslammed her way to victory.

Winner Via Pinfall - ODB

After the match, The Beautiful People beat down ODB, only for Roxxi Laveaux and Gail Kim to run out and make the save. Mickie Knuckles then came out and helped the Beautiful People regain control, before placing a paper bag over the head of Kim.

Backstage, the Jay Lethal bachelor party was in full swing, with Curry Man doing some karaoke with Ace Young. Sonjay Dutt said he had a big surprise for the wedding, as Lethal asked where Lanny Poffo was. BG James shared some words of wisdom, as James Storm passed out. Shark Boy then said to get the party going.

Don West talked about TNA Live, as Eric Young continued his search for Elvis.

Mike Tenay and Don West then discussed Slammiversary.

Part Three of the Sting interview was shown with Sting discussing the possibility of his retirement.

A package highlighting the King of the Mountain match was then shown.

Match Three - X Division King of the Mountain Match to determine the Number One Contender to the TNA Heavyweight Championship - Curry Man vs. Jimmy Rave w/ Christy Hemme vs. Chris Sabin vs. Johnny Devine vs. Kaz

This was a pretty good match. All five participants took to the air and battled back and forth. Eventually, all five competitors made pinfalls and were eligible to hang the "X" and win the match. With Kaz and Jimmy Rave's time in the penalty box winding down, Curry Man tried to hang the "X." Kaz beat down Rave and was able to escape the cage and knock Curry Man off the ladder and hang the "X" himself to get the win.

Winner Via Hanging the "X" and NEW Number One Contender to the TNA Heavyweight Championship - Kaz

Another package highlighting the King of the Mountain match was shown.

Jeremy Borash, Riesha Saeed and Awesome Kong then made their way to the ring.

A package was then shown of The Awesome Kong Challenge.

Jeremy Borash then picked a few volunteers from the crowd, who turned out to be Amber O'Neal, Becky Bayless and Daffney. Daffney was chosen as the contestant and put her mouth guard in for the match.

Match Four - Awesome Kong $25,000 Challenge - Awesome Kong w/ Riesha Saeed vs. Daffney

Squash! Awesome Kong completely mauled Daffney and swung her into a guardrail, before hitting her with the Kong Bomb for the pin, as Amber O'Neal and Becky Bayless watched on.

Winner Via Pinfall - Awesome Kong

A package was shown of Abyss in the asylum, saying that he would be released in three days.

Mike Tenay and Don West talked about the package and mentioned how Abyss could be at Slammiversary.

Backstage, Lauren spoke to Kevin Nash about his game plan. Nash said that his baseball bat was his game plan. Samoa Joe walked in and the two argued. Nash gave Joe the bat and turned his back, telling Joe he could take him out if he wanted. Joe spun him around and gave him the bat back. He told Nash that he wouldn't need the bat and wouldn't need to attack him from behind, before walking out.

Back at the Jay Lethal Bachelor Party, Sonjay Dutt announced that Koko B Ware, George "The Animal" Steele and Kamala would be appearing at the wedding. Kip James then came on stage and stripped as Dutt went crazy.

Match Five - Kip James, James Storm and Lance Hoyt w/ Christy Hemme and Jackie Moore vs. Matt Morgan and LAX (Homicide and Hernandez) w/ Hector Guerrero and Salinas

This was another match that turned into an all out brawl, with LAX taking out James Storm and Lance Hoyt with dives to the floor. Back in the ring, Matt Morgan overpowered Kip James and hit the F5 for the victory.

Winners Via Pinfall - Matt Morgan and LAX (Homicide and Hernandez)

Backstage, Jeremy Borash spoke to Petey Williams, Scott Steiner and Rhakka Kahn. Steiner and Williams bashed Kaz and said that he would be defeated at Slammiversary. Williams grabbed the mic away from Borash and went on a rant as TNA went to a commercial break.

Kurt and Karen Angle joined Mike Tenay via satellite. They argued about their situation, as Kurt accused Karen of sleeping with AJ Styles. Tenay asked if Kurt had proof, but Kurt just flipped and promised to break every bone in Styles' body at Slammiversary.

Backstage, AJ Styles was with Jeremy Borash and said that he and Karen were just friends. He said that he was done trying to defend himself and said that he was going to go to war with Kurt Angle at Slammiversary.

Back at the Bachelor Party, The Rock N Rave Infection wheeled in a cake with Christy Hemme inside. ODB then brought in a box that Dutt revealed had a snake in it. Dutt then announced that Jake "The Snake" Roberts would be at the wedding.

Match Six - Tomko vs. AJ Styles - Special Guest Enforcer: Kevin Nash

AJ Styles went on the attack right away, hitting a huge dive on Tomko. The two brawled it out, until Robert Roode came down and tried to interfere. Kevin Nash was able to fight Roode off, as Styles hit Tomko with a Pele Kick and Frog Splash for the pinfall.

Winner Via Pinfall - AJ Styles

After the match, Kevin Nash checked on AJ Styles as Booker T ran out with a steel chair and leveled Nash. The run-ins continued, as Rhino, Christian Cage, Team 3D, LAX and Samoa Joe all came out and brawled. Nash went to hit Booker with the steel chair, but Booker got out of the way and he connected with Samoa Joe. The two argued as a package was shown to hype Slammiversary, rounding out another edition of Impact.
