D-Lo Brown signs with WWE

You betta recognize that one of the stars from the WWF attitude era, D-Lo Brown, is returning to the company. reported on its website this afternoon that the former Intercontinental and European champion has signed a superstar contract.

Brown, a certified public accountant, was originally signed to the WWF in 1995 and debuted as a member of the Nation of Domination in 1997. As European champion, he defeated Jeff Jarrett for the Intercontinental Title on RAW on July 26, 1999, making him one of only three men to have held the European and Intercontinental championships simultaneously. He also formed tag teams with Mark Henry and Chaz during his WWF run. The last year of his time in the WWF was spent mostly on Heat and managed by Teddy Long. He was released by the WWE on February 14, 2003.

Since leaving WWE, Brown has competed primarily in Japan, first for All-Japan Wrestling and then Pro Wrestling NOAH. He also wrestled for TNA in 2003 and part of 2004, teaming with, and then feuding with, AJ Styles. He is also a former Border City Wrestling champion.

On August 13, 2007, D-Lo had a dark match at Madison Square Garden, defeating Ryan O’Reilly. He was offered a contract, but declined and continued to wrestle for NOAH and work as a backstage agent for TNA.
