Tonight on ECW on Sci-Fi: Shelton Benjamin has been bested by newcomer
Kofi Kingston twice in previous weeks. They meet for a third time tonight.
Should be a good one!
ECW General Manager Armando Estrada is in the ring with CM Punk, John
Morrison, Chavo Guerrero and Tommy Dreamer -- all former ECW Champions who
will become the No. 1 contender for the ECW Championship. Estrada says that,
at One Night Stand, there will be an every man for himself, fatal four way
Singapore cane match with the winner facing the ECW Champion at Night of
Champions. But tonight, there will be a tag team match featuring Morrison
and Guerrero against Dreamer and Punk.
And we are LIVE! in Des Moines, Iowa. Mike Adamle and "The Tazz" are our
hosts. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-14DLSV).
Match #1 - The Miz (Cleveland, Ohio) vs. Kane (Hell, Fire & Brimstone)
Cue Adamle: "The man (Miz) who's so cool, his aura can be felt from outer
space."
Quick start for Kane, who beats Miz from pillar to post to start things
off. But it changes when they head to the outside when it's Kane who gets
beat by the post courtesy of Miz.
Of course, Miz's momentum doesn't last long, as Kane hits a sidewalk slam
for two. Kane heads to the top rope and hits the flying clothesline and
calls for the choke slam. Miz hits some back elbows to get out, but again,
Miz can't do much.
Kane puts Miz up in the tree of woe and pulls Miz's head under the
turnbuckle. Kane doesn't break the hold in time and is promptly
disqualified.
Winner via disqualification: The Miz
Kane hits a choke slam for good measure after the match and then goes to
grab a chair. Kane puts Miz's head inside the chair and goes to the top, but
before Kane can inflict the damage, Morrison makes the save from the back,
pulling his tag team partner out of the ring.

Match #2 - Kofi Kingston (Jamaica) vs. Shelton Benjamin (Orangeburg,
S.C.)
It's strange -- for the second match on the show, this one has a little
bit of a big match feel to it.
Shelton strikes the first big move of the match when he picks Kingston up
and literally drops him knee-first on the top turnbuckle. He follows this up
by ringing his left knee around the ring post.
Shelton continues to try to ground Kofi, but Kingston is able to hit some
limited offense while limping around -- but Shelton gets the advantage after
rolling Kingston up while he went for the "Boom Boom Boom".
Benjamin applies a single-leg Boston Crab, but Kofi gets to the ropes.
Benjamin goes for the big splash but Kofi ducks out and goes for the Trouble
in Paradise. Shelton, though, ducks it and hits the inverted bulldog and just
like that, Kofi Kingston is no longer undefeated.
Winner via pinfall: Shelton Benjamin

Match #3 - Colin Delaney (Rochester, N.Y.) & Kelly Kelly
(Jacksonville, Fla.) vs. Mike "School of Hard" Knox (Phoenix, Ariz.) & Layla
(Miami, Fla.)
The females start off and Kelly is all over Layla. Kelly goes for a pin
but Knox pulls her off. Delaney goes to confront Knox, but he ends up going
flying over the top rope. In the ring, Kelly Kelly hits the K2 on Layla and
that's it.
Winners via pinfall: Colin Delaney & Kelly Kelly
Clearly upset by the result, Knox comes in and nails Delaney with the
corkscrew faceplant.
Then, out of nowhere, Estrada's music hits and, in ring attire, he comes
to the ring.
Match #4 - Colin Delaney (Rochester, N.Y.) vs. Armando Estrada
(Cuba)
Estrada picks up Delaney and hits a lifting inverted DDT.
Winner via pinfall: Armando Estrada

Match #5 - CM Punk (Chicago, Ill.) & Tommy Dreamer (Yonkers, N.Y.) vs.
John Morrison (Los Angeles, Calif.) & Chavo Guerrero (El Paso,
Texas)
Wow. Adamle just called CM Punk "CW Punk". The Tazz rightfully called him
out on it.
And, as Chavo came out, Adamle wanted to know "is he pimpin' or is he
limpin?'". Wowwwww.
Punk and Morrison set a high pace in the early going but after a tag,
Morrison sends Punk crashing with an electric chair on the outside.

We're back and it's Morrison and Punk again before Morrison makes a quick
tag to his partner. Guerrero cuts off the ring with some chinlocks. They do
utilize quick tags to keep Punk far away from Dreamer.
Punk, though, is able to fire up by hitting the running kneelift and
subsequent bulldog on Morrison. This leads to the hot tag to Dreamer who
cleans house. He hits a pumphandle suplex on Morrison and eventually a DDT,
but Chavo breaks it up.
Punk then takes care of Chavo and hangs up Morrison in the tree of woe,
but something happened and he ended up down. Chavo tagged himself in and hit
the Frog Splash for the win.
Winners via pinfall: John Morrison and Chavo Guerrero
As the bell rings, Big Show's music hits and he comes to the ring with
bad intentions. Choke slam for Chavo and Punk. Rag doll toss for Morrison
and then he gets a mic. He says Estrada must've forgot he was a former ECW
Champion and that's why he is putting himself in the Singapore Cane Match.
He's a former champion and he will be the future champion. He then helps
Dreamer to his feet and treats him to a choke slam.
