YouTube a great source for clips
By TIM BAINES - Ottawa Sun

Who will ever forget Terry Taylor crowing into the camera in his WWF role as The Red Rooster?

One of the worst wrestling characters of all-time? Yep, likely. Humiliating? Maybe. But Taylor still collected a nice paycheque. He just diminished his reputation as a decent enough wrestler.

The great thing about such lows ... and the highs ... is they're all quickly accessible. With a couple of clicks on your keyboard, you can find some an amazing collection of wrestling clips on YouTube.

The quality isn't always the greatest, but it's a stroll down memory lane to capture blasts from the past like Lord Athol Layton, Pampero Firpo, The Sheik, Abdullah the Butcher , Haystacks Calhoun, Rick Martel, Makhan Singh, Diamond Timothy Flowers ... the list is long. There's plenty of current stuff, too. Check out some of the awesome Ring of Honor matches. Try Nigel McGuinness, El Generico or Kevin Steen if you want to be entertained. Take a look back at some of the ROH matches from CM Punk and Austin Aries.

To find one of wrestling's worst gimmicks, check out The Gobbledygooker.

You Tube has become a wrestling fan's paradise.

AROUND THE RING

Ring of Honor is coming to Canada, with a show July 25 at the Ted Reeve Arena in Toronto. Tickets go on sale on May 20 ... Legendary women's wrestler Penny Banner died Monday, at the age of 73 ... Posted on The Wrestling Observer website was an interview with Jim Ross where he recalled Hulk Hogan complaining about a $250,000 payday for SummerSlam, saying his limo driver got paid better. JR said he confronted Hogan on it and Hogan said: "It's not the money, I have more money than God".
