Impact: Last push to Lockdown

Lockdown is right around the corner, as TNA looks to make one final push for the PPV. On this edition of Impact, Team 3D squares off against Kevin Nash and Sting, Super Eric does battle with Black Reign and Consequences Creed makes his return to TNA. All this and more on Impact!

The show began with highlights of the last edition of Impact.

Mike Tenay and Don West then did their usual rundown.

Team Tomko then entered the Impact Zone and talked about destroying Team Cage. This brought out Team Cage who made a couple of jokes at Team Tomko's expense. AJ Styles had enough of the taunting and told Team Cage to bring it. Team Cage charged the ring and Team Tomko bailed.

Samoa Joe was shown backstage wearing a suit. He said that he had come to Impact to sign the contract that stipulates that if he loses at Lockdown, he retires.

In the back, Jeremy Borash caught up with Kurt Angle who said that he was going to make Samoa Joe tap for the last time at Lockdown.

A package was then shown for Consequences Creed.

Match One - X-Scape Qualifying Match - Consequences Creed vs. Jimmy Rave w/ Lance Hoyt and Christy Hemme

Jimmy Rave tried to jump start things, but Consequences Creed was able to take him down and defeat him with a Hammerlock DDT. Creed now joins Shark Boy, Curry Man, Johnny Devine, Sonjay Dutt and Jay Lethal for the X-Scape match at Lockdown for the TNA X Division Championship.

Winner Via Pinfall - Consequences Creed

Crystal was shown in the back with Jay Lethal and So Cal Val. Sonjay Dutt walked in and whisked Val away with the promise of shopping.

Jim Cornette then came out and joined Mike Tenay and Don West. He announced a six team handcuff cage match of sorts for Lockdown. 6 teams, 12 men, 11 pairs of handcuffs. The winner is the person who isn't handcuffed at the end. Wow. Cornette then said that effective immediately, Matt Morgan was strictly a wrestler and no longer part of administration.

Crystal spoke with Matt Morgan who promised to show his dominance at Lockdown.

A package was then shown that highlighted the initiation of Petey Williams into the Freak Club.

Match Two - Scott Steiner and Petey Williams w/ Rhaka Khan vs. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin)

This was a solid match. Rhaka Khan came out during the match with a mystery bag. The Motor City Machine Guns had things going their way, until Chris Sabin took himself out of the equation with a dive. Scott Steiner then tripped up Alex Shelley and allowed Petey Williams to hit the Canadian Destroyer for the win. After the match, Steiner grabbed the mic and told Williams that this was the final step of his initiation, he then proceeded to shave Williams bald and give him his headdress. Williams and Steiner then posed together. Little Petey Pump has been initiated.

Back from the commercial break, Mike Tenay and Don West discussed Petey Williams initiation and then hyped Lockdown.

A package was then shown highlighting the history between Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle, with comments from Christian Cage, Jim Cornette, Frank Trigg and Mike Carlson from Fight Magazine.

Kurt Angle then made his way into the Impact Zone for the contract signing. He called out Samoa Joe who walked down to the ring in a suit. Joe told Angle that he would stick to his word, but he would walk out of Lockdown the new TNA Heavyweight Champion. Joe signed the contract and the two stared one another down, before shaking hands to seal the deal.

Back from the commercial break, a replay of the contract signing was shown.

In the back, Crystal spoke with Gail Kim and ODB who promised to work as a team and defeat The Awesome Kong and Riesha Saeed at Lockdown. ODB also promised to rip the vale of Saeed's facew and expose her.

Match Three - Angelina Love w/ Velvet Sky vs. Roxxi Laveaux

Angelina Love got in a couple shots, but was overmatched by Roxxi Laveaux. Velvet Sky tried to get involved, but Laveaux sent Love into her and hit the Vodoo Crusher for the win.

In the back, Jeremy Borash talked to Super Eric, who claimed to know nothing of Eric Young and promised to get rid of the monster, Black Reign.

Another Rough Cuts segment was shown, where BG James and Kip James talked about finally settling their score at Lockdown.

Match Four - Black Reign w/ Misty vs. Super Eric

Black Reign charged at Super Eric, who fought back and hit a missile dropkick, followed by a DVD for the win. After the match, Rellik came down and handcuffed Eric Young, leading to a two-on-one beatdown. Kaz came out to make the save, but the Rock N Rave Infection ran down to stop him. Super Eric then broke the handcuffs and cleaned house, standing tall with Kaz.

Next up was a package that highlighted the history between Robert Roode, Payton Banks, Booker T and Tracy Brooks.

Following that, was a package to hype the Queen of the Cage match at Lockdown.

Packages were then shown for the Lethal Lockdown match and the TNA Heavyweight Championship match between Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle.

In the back, Crystal caught up with Sting and Kevin Nash, who promised to defeat Team 3D. Kevin Nash said he was there for the money ad was just being honest. he said that after they win, he was going where the money was.

Match Five - Kevin Nash and Sting vs. Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon)

This was a good main event, that eventually broke down, with Sting locking in the Scorpion Deathlock and Kevin Nash hitting a chokeslam to take out Team 3D. AJ Styles and Tomko then hit the ring and caused for the disqualification. Christian Cage and Rhino ran out, followed by James Storm, which put Team Tomko in the driver's seat. Matt Morgan then ran down and started cleaning house. Jackie Moore jumped on him and got press slammed to the floor. An all out brawl ensued, with AJ Styles getting Gored by Rhino and all sorts of mayhem breaking out.
