Hardy needs to fight off demons
By TIM BAINES - Ottawa Sun
I can't pretend to be Jeff Hardy. I'm older, much flabbier and not nearly as appealing to the female eye.
Besides that, you won't see any Swanton Bombs coming out of these ancient bones.
But while you will continue to see this column, you won't see Hardy in a wrestling ring for at least two months.
That's because the troubled star has been suspended for 60 days after violating WWE's Wellness Policy for the second time. And it's said the violation isn't for performance-enhancing drugs.
"I had my demons," Hardy told me less than a year ago [A giant leap for Jeff Hardy]. "There were rumours all over the place: 'Jeff Hardy is a drug addict. We'll never see him back.' A lot of people felt that way. I'm basically clean. They wanted me to go to rehab, but I took care of myself. I didn't need to look in the mirror. I knew I had to get myself right."
Jeff, this time it's really time to get yourself right.
AROUND THE RING
This Floyd Mayweather-Big Show feud is really taking off and will be a Wrestlemania highlight. And through it all, Mayweather, the boxer, is becoming the heel ... TNA champ Kurt Angle told The Sun in the UK: "TNA is where I want to be and I'm happy where I am. Vince McMahon can kiss my ass." ... Chris Jericho won the Intercontinental title from Jeff Hardy on RAW ... The April Playboy with WWE Diva Maria posing nude is in stores. One word: Outstanding!
