Great to be Sunny again
By TIM BAINES - Ottawa Sun

For a girl who for so many years was known as Sunny, it's so good to hear that Tammy Sytch is in a happy place.

She's still feeling chills after appearing on RAW's 15th anniversary show, which she hopes could lead to a regular WWE role . And she's found a boyfriend, a cop, who's made her believe in herself again.

"When I went back (for the anniversary show), it was unbelievable," she says. "When I heard my music and walked up the ramp, it was like I'd never left. I thought, 'Wow, did I ever miss this!'

"To feel that energy from the crowd ... this is where I need to be again."

She hopes to return, but that's in WWE's hands now.

"I'm very superstitious," she says. "I don't want to jinx anything. But in my heart, I've got a good feeling, hopefully (I'll be back) before the end of the year. I was a little worried about how the girls would react.

"But they were peaches and cream. I became best friends with Melina ... and Maria, what a sweetheart!"

Sytch, who is absolutely bubbly in a very good way over the phone, says she's getting plenty of work from indy wrestling promotions, with her weekends booked into November.

Times weren't always so good. In 2005, her boyfriend, Chris Candido, died of complications after surgery following an in-ring injury.

"Life is a rollercoaster," she says. "You've got ups and downs. When you're in the public eye, everybody knows about your downs."

She met her boyfriend John about two years ago.

"Two weeks after we met, I got his last name tattooed on my tailbone, a month later we moved in together.

"He's the discipline I've always needed. For 33 years of my life, I was the wild child. Now, I couldn't be happier and healthier."
