Impact: Angle takes down Nash
By CHRIS SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

The Angle Alliance is once again in disarray after the events which took place on the last edition of Impact, as AJ Styles and Karen Angle went on their first date as a "married couple." After a main event melee last week, The Angle Alliance faces more trouble, as Kurt Angle takes on Kevin Nash, this week, on Impact!

A package was shown to recap the last edition of Impact.

Kurt Angle was shown warming up for his match with Kevin Nash, when Karen Angle walked in and tried to reconcile with him. Karen talked about missing him, but Kurt said that he could live without her. Karen walked away upset, as Kurt continued to do his squats.

Mike Tenay and Don West did their usual welcome as Booker T entered the Impact Zone. Booker called out Robert Roode, but instead got Ms. Payton Banks. Banks said that Robert Roode wasn't at the Impact Zone yet, but she did have a message to pass on to Booker. Banks then slapped Booker, as Ms. Brooks ran down to the ring and tackled her. The two brawled as Booker cheered on and security came out to break it up.

A package was then shown of Team 3D trying to lose weight. Pretty good stuff. In the back, Jeremy Borash caught up with Scott Steiner and Petey Williams. Williams and Steiner appeared as though they were going to act as a unit, with Steiner saying that if Williams passed his test, he would be ready for intiation.

Match One - Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt vs. Petey Williams and Scott Steiner w/ Rocka Chan

Scott Steiner gave Petey Williams some posing tips. This was a pretty good match. Williams and Steiner worked well as a team and were able to pick up the win after Williams hit the Canadian Destroyer on Sonjay Dutt.

Winners Via Pinfall - Petey Williams and Scott Steiner

More clips were shown of Team 3D at a bakery, trying to stick to their diet. In the back, Jeremy Borash found Eric Young hiding and accidentally scared him. Young was still afraid of the monsters. Kaz showed up and Young was happy to see that he was okay. Kaz tried to cheer Young up and said there was an alter ego inside of him waiting to come out.

Clips of Team 3D dieting continued to play as Team 3D made their way into the Impact Zone to face Curry Man and Shark Boy. Both men attempted to weigh-in, but even when they got down to their underwear, they still failed and were unable to compete. While all this was going on inside the Impact Zone, in the back, Jeremy Borash caught up with Karen Angle who was still upset about what happened with Kurt Angle. AJ Styles came in and told Karen that Kurt didn't mean what he said. Karen took a liking to Styles, as Styles said he would go talk to Kurt for her.

Back in the Impact Zone, Shark Boy was upset. He came out for a match and he wanted a match, so he issued an open challenge that was answered by Black Reign and Rellik.

Match Two - Curry Man and Shark Boy vs. Black Reign and Rellik

This was an absolute cluster, as Team 3D, Johnny Devine, Kaz and Eric Young all got involved. Sharky Stunner was enough to pick up the win, but after the match a beat down on Kaz and company ensued, until Eric Young made the save. The monsters were able to scare him away though, long enough for Kaz to catch a second rope powerbomb through a table.

Winners Via Pinfall - Curry Man and Shark Boy

Crystal was shown waiting for Robert Roode to arrive, and when he did, he said that he wouldn't be running from Booker T, he said that he was going to take him down.

A package was then shown recapping the history of VKM. On the next edition of Impact, the cameras will follow VKM behind the scenes.

Robert Roode and Ms. Banks made their way into the Impact Zone and called out Booker T. Booker came down and Banks was thrown right into the crossfire, allowing Roode to slow down Booker and go right on the offensive. The duo handcuffed Booker to the ropes, as Ms. Brooks ran down to make the save. Brooks tackled Roode, but was beaten down by Banks. Roode then whipped Booker as security ran down to break things up.

Replays were shown of the Booker T beatdown, followed by a package that hyped the Elevation X match at Destination X.

Crystal was in the back with James Storm and Jackie Moore. Storm said he was not afraid of Elevation X, but Moore thought otherwise.

Match Three - TNA Drinking Championship Ladder Match - Eric Young (C) vs. James Storm w/ Jackie Moore

James Storm was intimidated of the ladder and didn't necessarily want to climb it. The two battled back and forth until Storm was finally able to put Young down. He went to climb the ladder and did so really slowly. Jackie Moore tried to help him up, but wound up just climbing the ladder and grabbing it herself. After the match, Rhino came down and Gored James Storm, before stealing the TNA Drinking Championship.

In the back, Jeremy Borash spoke to Kurt Angle about his upcoming match with Kevin Nash. AJ Styles ran in and tried to plead Karen Angle's case, but Kurt didn't care. He told Styles that he had better help him win his match with Nash, but all Styles wanted to do was help Karen win Kurt back.

A package was then shown of The Awesome Kong in TNA. She has really been a big asset for them.

Match Four - Angelina Love w/ Velvet Sky vs. The Awesome Kong w/ Riesha Saeed

Continued dominance shown by The Awesome Kong. Kong was able to beat down Angelina Love and finish her off with the devastating Kong Bomb. After the match, Velvet Sky came into the ring and checked on Love, as replays were shown. ODB then came out with a mic and said that she was going to take down Kong and and Gail Kim and become the next TNA Knockouts Champion. Gail Kim then came out and tried to attack Kong, but was beaten down. ODB ran to the ring and was also beaten down. The duo then got up and worked together and were able to take Kong out, before arguing with each other in a heated stand off.

Winner Via Pinfall - The Awesome Kong

Match Five - Kevin Nash w/ Christian Cage and Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle w/ AJ Styles and Tomko

This was another all out brawl, with Christian Cage, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and Tomko getting into it on the outside and getting thrown out. Good back and forth match. The end came when Karen Angle ran down to check on Kurt Angle, only to get knocked down by Kurt inadvertently. Jeremy Borash and AJ Styles ran out to check on Karen who was bleeding from the mouth. Earl Hebner then left the ring to send Styles to the back. Kevin Nash hit the Jacknife on Angle and had the win, but there was no referee to make the count. As Nash went to look for Hebner, Angle got up and hit Nash with a low blow and Angle Slam for the win. After the match, Kurt celebrated, while Styles carried Karen to the back.

Winner Via Pinfall - Kurt Angle
