Impact: Angle-Booker ends in usual chaos
By CHRIS SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

TNA Impact has really stepped it up a notch this week with what is sure to be a tremendous main event match, pitting Kurt Angle against Booker T. The rest of the Angle Alliance will also be in action, plus the TNA Knockouts compete in a tag team match. All this and more on this edition of Impact.

A package was shown to recap the last edition of Impact.

Footage was then shown from earlier in the day of Kurt and Karen Angle arguing about what happened with AJ Styles.

Match One - TNA Tag Team Championship Match - AJ Styles and Tomko (C) vs. Kip James and "Bullet" Bob Armstrong w/ BG James

BG James was sporting some crutches. Karen Angle came down during the match to cheer on AJ Styles and Tomko. Karen Angle eventually got involved and distracted the referee, as Bob Armstrong was fighting off the Angle Alliance, only for Kip James to steal a crutch from BG James and whack Armstrong with it. Styles and Tomko then finished the job and got the win. After the match, Kip James kicked out BG's leg and beat him down.

Winners Via Pinfall and STILL TNA Tag Team Champions - AJ Styles and Tomko

In the back, Crystal caught up with ODB and Gail Kim. Kim and ODB agreed that they were on the same page this week and wanted to end the reign of The Awesome Kong. AJ Styles and Karen Angle walked in, with Karen trying to convince Styles that they were now actually married. She mentioned a honeymoon and Styles ran to make a call.

Mike Tenay then talked about the break-up of the James Gang, with replays and all. In the back, Crystal spoke with Kip James who said that he hated The Armstrongs and knew they were going to come after him, but he was ready for them.

Matt Morgan, Jim Cornette, Sonjay Dutt and The Motor City Machine Guns then entered the Impact Zone to honor Jay Lethal for saving the X Division and winning back the TNA X Division Championship. Lethal came out and was praised for his career in TNA. He then took the mic and thanked the founders of the X Division, Christopher Daniels, Jerry Lynn and AJ Styles. He then thanked The Machine Guns for fighting for the good cause and thanked his friend, Sonjay Dutt. He then thanked So Cal Val and asked her to step in the ring. He then proceeded to ask her out, to which Val said "Ohhhh yeah!" Dutt was upset as Lethal celebrated.

In the back, Crystal spoke with Kaz and said he was going to take out Rellik. Eric Young ran in and warned Kaz about Rellik, but Kaz told Young not to worry about it. After a commercial break, Don West hyped TNA Live. In Jim Cornette's office, he and Samoa Joe stood by with the door locked and the contract on the table. He asked Joe to sign, but Joe said that he would wait till after Lockdown, because he wanted Kevin Nash and Christian Cage to take out the Angle Alliance and then he wanted Kurt Angle inside the Steel Cage for a fair shot at the TNA Heavyweight Championship. He said that he would only sign with TNA if he won the match, as he would then have a reason to stick around.

Match Two - Rellik vs. Kaz

Rellik had things going his way, but Kaz reversed a Million Dollar Dreams and scored the rollup victory. After the match, Black Reign came down to beat on Kaz. Eric Young ran out to make the save, but was afraid of Reign and Rellik.

Winner Via Pinfall - Kaz

Crystal caught up with Booker T, who said that if Robert Roode no showed again, he would be suspended. He said that at Destination X, it was on. A package was then shown of Abyss and how he walked out of the Impact Zone.

Match Three - Number One Contenders Triple Threat Match For A Shot At The TNA X Division Championship - Petey Williams vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Johnny Devine

Scott Steiner came down during the match and eventually helped Petey Williams to victory, by knocking out by Sonjay Dutt and Johnny Devine with his briefcase. After the match, Steiner slid into the ring and shook hands with Williams and promised to take him to the top.

Winner Via Pinfall and NEW Number One Contender to the TNA X Division Championship - Petey Williams

Jeremy Borash then spoke with Karen Angle and AJ Styles as they entered a sub shop. Styles was wowing Karen with his smooth talk and snow globe gift. They ordered up some steak and gravy and were prepared to "get fat."

Footage was then shown of Mike Tenay's sit-down interview with Rhino. Rhino pretty much said that he was back in TNA and that he was going to defeat James Storm in Elevation X at Destination X.

Crystal attempted to interview Curry Man, who instead danced around and talked in Japanese. Shark Boy ran in and told Curry Man he better have been talking about whooping ass. Back from a commercial break, Brother Ray weighed in fine, but Brother Devon was overweight. Apparently he had been caught eating Twinkies.

Match Four - Handicap Match - Brother Ray w/ Brother Devon vs. Curry Man and Shark Boy

Johnny Devine and Brother Devon got invovled in this one and took Curry Man and Shark Boy off their game, allowing Brother Ray to sneak the scale in and knock out Shark Boy with it for the pin.

Winner Via Pinfall - Brother Ray

Crystal spoke with Kurt Angle who said that he didn't care what AJ Styles and Karen Angle were doing, because he was focused on the TNA Heavyweight Championship and defeating Booker T. Over at Gator Land, Styles and Karen, along with Jeremy Borash, continued the honeymoon. Styles poked at alligators and then went to grab some Gator Nuggets with Karen. Karen thought the gators would make for great boots.

Match Five - Gail Kim and ODB vs. Roxxie Laveaux and Jackie Moore

This was a pretty good match. The match eventually broke down, with Gail Kim accidentally hitting ODB with a missile dropkick. Roxxie Laveaux took advantage of this and hit Kim with a fall away slam, as Jackie Moore and ODB brawled to the floor, to pick up the victory. After the match, Kim and ODB argued, leading to another brawl. Security and referees came down and pulled ODB to the floor, as Kim hit them all with a high cross body from the top.

Winners Via Pinfall - Roxxie Laveaux and Jackie Moore

In the back, Crystal spoke with Kevin Nash, Christian Cage and Samoa Joe, who promised that Destination X would be the end of The Angle Alliance. Back to the honeymoon, Karen Angle and AJ Styles made their way back to Styles' room. Styles told Karen that if they were really married, every day would be a honeymoon. He then proceeded to kiss Karen on the cheek. Footage was then shown of Kurt Angle going crazy on the last edition of Impact, as the preacher and Jeremy Borash were laid out.

Match Six - Kurt Angle vs. Booker T

As expected, this was a solid main event with lots of back and forth action. Booker T had some momentum building, until Robert Roode came out and tried to interfere. That took Booker's mind off of Angle long enough for Angle to come from behind and hit the Angle Slam for the win. After the match, Roode and Angle beat down on Booker T, as Christian Cage ran out to make the save. Cage, however, was beaten down as well, leading to Samoa Joe running out to make the save. Booker got up and brawled with Roode to the back, as Kevin Nash and Tomko also ran out. Nash then challenged Angle for a match on the next edition of Impact.

Winner Via Pinfall - Kurt Angle

Chris Sokol is from Long Island, NY and likes sugar in his coffee.
