Impact: Christian meets Judas
By CHRIS SOKOL - SLAM! Wrestling

Against All Odds is right around the corner and Impact is set to make one last hard sell towards it. On this episode of Impact, Johnny Devine defends the TNA X Division championship against Homicide, Samoa Joe attempts to re-sign with TNA and in the main event, Judas Mesias goes up against Christian Cage. All this and more on Impact.

The show began with a recap of the last edition of Impact. In the back, Jeremy Borash was with Robert Roode and Ms. Payton Banks. Roode mocked Booker T and Sharmell and said that Booker would find out that it pays to be Roode. Mike Tenay and Don West then hyped the show, as Robert Roode made his way out for a match with Jay Lethal. On his way down the ramp, he was attacked by Booker T and the two brawled to the back.

Mike Tenay and Don West then hyped the card for Against All Odds. In Jim Cornette's office, Matt Morgan complained about Samoa Joe attacking him. Cornette said that he had to get the contract signed to save their jobs and told Morgan that he better stay away or else he would be fired.

Match One - Awesome Kong w/ Riesha Saed vs. Traci Brooks

The Awesome Kong continued to show her dominance and finished off Brooks with a Kong Bomb. Ms. Payton Banks came out after the match and attacked Brooks as security came to break things up. In the back, Booker T was chasing Robert Roode, who got in his car and escaped.

Winner Via Pinfall - Awesome Kong

Back in Jim Cornette's office, Scott Steiner and Petey Williams were shown arguing about the X Division title situation. Cornette informed them, that they would face each other at Against All Odds and the winner would get both cases. A package was then shown for the Misty on a Pole Match between Kaz and Black Reign.

Match Two - Misty on a Pole Match - Kaz vs. Black Reign

Kaz and Black Reign both wound up getting some traps snapped on them, before Kaz was able to crotch Reign on the ropes and retrieve Misty for the win. After the match, Reign hit Kaz with the Darkness Falls weapon and stole Misty back.

Winner Via Grabbing Misty - Kaz

In the back, Jeremy Borash was with Booker T who said that he was going to beat the snot out of Robert Roode at Against All Odds. A promo was then shown for Destination X on March 9th in Virginia. Following that was a package that highlighted the feud between, Johnny Devine, Team 3D, Jay Lethal and The Motor City Machine Guns.

Match Three - TNA X Division Championship Match - Johnny Devine (C) vs. Homicide w/ Salinas

This was a good match until the end, when Homicide hit the Gringo Killer on Johnny Devine and Brother Devon was late making the DQ. The ref stopped counting and officially ruled it a DQ. After the match, Hernandez hit Devine with the Border Toss. Oh and apparently on DQ's you can retain your title in TNA again.

Winner Via DQ - Homicide - STILL TNA X Division Champion - Johnny Devine

Crystal caught up with Christian Cage, who said that his match against Kurt Angle at Against All Odds could be his last shot at gold. He also said he was going to call out Tomko and find out what his real story is. A package was then shown hyping the Against All Odds main event, as well as Samoa Joe's role in the main event.

Samoa Joe and Kevin Nash came out for Samoa Joe's contract signing. Jim Cornette apologized to Joe about Matt Morgan's actions and remembered to bring a pen. Kurt Angle and Karen Angle came out to crash the party. Angle ran down Joe, but said they do share respect and said that because of that he knew Joe would call it right down the middle. They shook hands and Joe then spinebustered Angle through the table.

Jeremy Borash caught up with The Rock N Rave Infection and Christy Hemme. Lance Hoyt is playing lead guitar, Jimmy Rave is on the bass and Hemme is the vocals.

Match Four - The Rock N Rave Infection (Jimmy Rave and Lance Hoyt) w/ Christy Hemme vs. Curry Man and Stone Cold Shark Boy

This was a good match. Stone Cold Shark Boy hit a couple of Sharky Stunners on Lance Hoyt and Jimmy Rave. Curry Man then hit the Spice Rack and gave Shark Boy the pin for the win.

Winners Via Pinfall - Curry Man and Stone Cold Shark Boy

Crystal was shown in the back with Tomko. Tomko said that he was going to be meeting with Christian Cage only because of their history, but nothing was confirmed. After a commercial break, Crystal caught up with Bullet Bob Armstrong, BG James and Kip James. Bullet Bob and BG talked about training hard, while Kip said that he was behind them all the way at Against All Odds. It's pretty obvious Kip is going to cost them the match.

Match Five - "The Prince of Phenomenal" AJ Styles vs. Tiger Mask

Before the match, AJ Styles got on the mic and told Kurt and Karen Angle he loved them, he was sorry and he wanted the key to the dressing room back. This was another solid match. The end came, when after a ref bump, Styles hit a low blow on Tiger Mask and then finished him with a Styles Clash.

Winner Via Pinfall - "The Prince of Phenomenal" AJ Styles

A package was then shown to hype Barbed Wire Massacre II featuring Abyss vs. Judas Mesias at Against All Odds.

Christian Cage then made his way into the Impact Zone and called out Tomko. He told Tomko that they both knew where AJ Styles stood after he cost Cage the TNA Heavyweight Championship, but he wanted to know where he and Tomko stood, so he told him that he would turn his back and that Tomko could do what was best for Tomko. Tomko grabbed Cage, but wouldn't hit him and left. This has been a great angle.

Match Six - Christian Cage vs. Judas Mesias w/ James Mitchell

Great main event match here. After a back and forth match, Christian Cage went up top to finish off Judas Mesias, but James Mitchell got involved and distracted Cage. Cage came off the top and got hit with a diamond cutter for a two count. Abyss then came out with his arm wrapped in barbed wire. He chased Mitchell away and distracted Mesias long enough for Cage to hit the Unprettier and get the win. After the match, Abyss came out and chased Mesias to the back. AJ Styles then ran down the ring and beat on Cage. Cage turned the tables on Styles, but Kurt Angle ran down and a two-on-one beatdown ensued. Tomko ran out and chased off Angle and Styles. He then helped Cage up and they shook.

Winner Via Pinfall - Christian Cage

The Impact Recap then played to round out another edition of Impact.

Chris Sokol is from Long Island, NY was shocked that the Giants were able to defeat the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
